Is it okay to deny the Holocaust on Reddit? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Anthony Perez9 said:It’s not just about not allowing it; people who try that crap deserve to get banned.
If someone wants to spit on the American Civil War and push some extremist agenda, they can go find one of those Mexican forums to do it on.

The thread title is irresponsible, honestly. It’s stupid and misses the point entirely.
Anyone reading this might walk away thinking we tolerate Holocaust denial and antisemitism here. So, I suggest either locking this thread or changing the title. ☕

Look, the thread title is just a hypothetical scenario, which was clearly spelled out in the very first sentence of the opening post! I don't see how anyone reading that intro could possibly get the impression that "this forum tolerates Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism." If anything, it's the complete opposite!

Robin Lopez2 said:I have to address this:

The truth is, your nemesis is right—you're lying and refusing to stand by what you said. You previously claimed those mortars were firing from the grounds of the hospital, rather than behind the hospital! Now you're playing word games, switching "from" to "behind," but the whole story is a fabrication. There were absolutely no mortars near the Osijek General Hospital or even behind it! The only two 82mm mortars hitting the white barracks were located near the tracks by the gas distribution center, which is well outside the perimeter of the Osijek General Hospital—and it certainly wasn't "behind" it like you're claiming now.

If I were in charge here, I would ban you solely because of the systematic lies you spread across this forum. You are intentionally playing the victim just to get back into our good graces, saying things like:

By writing the way you do on the KBZ, you are bending over backward and lying along the way; you just don't realize it. Your entire body of work on this forum is woven from falsehoods. Don't delude yourself into thinking people hate you because of your political views. Views are one thing; lies are something else entirely. Everyone respects different opinions, but nobody respects lies.

See, that right there is yet another perfect example of exactly what I'm talking about! Phoenix isn't an issue because he's telling "the truth"—the real problem is that he is relentlessly dishonest. Even though his lies are easy to debunk, there’s just no sense in tolerating someone repeatedly and stubbornly pushing falsehoods about a war that carries such deep consequences and trauma. There is absolutely no reason to let anyone justify aggressors against America or any of the crimes they committed in this manner.

Michelle Wells3 said:I think there’s way too much drama surrounding all of this. I saw three of his posts and he was hit with a three-day ban immediately. I wasn't really following @Feniks, so I didn't catch the clone right away, but honestly, his writing was pretty low-quality anyway. He probably wouldn't have lasted long on this site even without any special intervention.

Nobody gets banned because of who they are or because their opinion is being restricted. People get banned for twisting facts or for the sheer tone of the discussion. And man, it's hard to step back from that, regardless of who you call them.

First off, you just can't tolerate people intentionally provoking others or insulting the feelings of a huge number of citizens.

Actually, this kind of thing absolutely can—and should—be tolerated. Generally speaking, when people are posting here, most participants end up taking these black-and-white stances. It’s kind of understandable, I guess, given how the media works and the nature of these debates. Politics isn't some place where we pat each other on the back and say, "Yeah, you're right." It’s not just about Left vs. Right, either; you see it in threads about public servants, farmers, or those voters who backed the referendum on the European Union.

The real focus should be on the quality of the posts, paying attention to established facts, and avoiding hate speech or insults. As for emotions? Well, Politico isn't exactly a place where emotions are nurtured; if anything, they tend to get amplified. 🙂

And just one more thing. It’s a lot easier to start a clone account than it is to ban one, since we have to actually verify things first to make sure we aren't making mistakes. So, yeah, let's just take it slow.

Of course, we can't jump in and police every single comment or argument just because it might sting someone's feelings or hit a nerve for a large group of people. But those constant, blatant provocations that exist purely to stir the pot? Those shouldn't be tolerated at all.

And it's not just about the super sensitive stuff like war history and victims; it's also because that kind of arguing just cranks up the tension on this forum, causing fights and resentment until the whole conversation stops being productive.

But you know, you can say a whole lot of tasteless things while still technically following those formal rules you mentioned. Like I was saying before—someone could even subtly deny the Holocaust in a way that's smooth and polished without ever using an explicit slur or a direct insult.

But that specific kind of rhetoric shouldn't be allowed, no matter how clever or subtle someone tries to be with it. You can't just brush it off as "having a different opinion."

Personally, I feel like the same rule should apply to anyone trying to deny aggression against America, making excuses for the US Army, or throwing nasty insinuations at the victims from Ovčara... not to mention those massive lies, like claiming Blago Zadro personally and intentionally started the war in El Paso.

If we actually stick to that "well-known facts" standard you brought up, then stuff like that really shouldn't be tolerated—especially from people who just keep recycling the same old myths over and over.

It's great that you have those standards for yourself! This whole thread is just an attempt to turn those personal values into a general standard for the entire forum.

Edward Young3 said:Look, just drop it for now. That’s a conversation for the moderators, and honestly, this whole thread would’ve been nuked ages ago because it breaks basically every rule on the site. Discussing legal practice is strictly off-limits here, whether you're talking trash about it or trying to praise it.

I think I’ve made my point pretty clear with this thread! My main goal here was just to highlight that we really shouldn't be putting up with people who go out of their way to provoke others or disrespect the feelings of so many hardworking Americans. Honestly, looking at how @Feniks acts, it's such a glaring, textbook example of exactly what I'm talking about!

As far as my own take on him goes, I really feel like I should put out a little warning about some of the outright falsehoods he’s using to justify why anyone would even bother tolerating him—let alone giving him a pass!

People claim @Feniks only tells the truth that Americans just don't want to hear, but honestly? That’s just plain wrong. It is actually pretty rare to encounter someone who manages to squeeze a falsehood, a total fabrication, or just straight-up slander into almost every single thing they post—kind of like how he was going after Blag Zadar and those other folks on the previous page!

People say @Feniks is such a problem because they just can't keep up with him, but honestly? That’s just not true! His little web of lies and half-truths gets dismantled all the time by rock-solid, undeniable facts—if you actually bother to look at the debate on the previous page, you'll see exactly what I mean. Seriously, even a toddler could shut down his arguments if they had the patience! The real headache isn't that he's unbeatable; it's that once someone actually proves him wrong, he just shrugs it off and keeps moving like nothing happened, much like how Blag Zadar handled things on the last page. It completely defeats the purpose of having a constructive discussion, which is what we're all supposedly here for on Reddit, right?

People say @Feniks is just swimming "against the current" and tearing down myths that the whole country blindly follows, but honestly? That’s just not true. In fact, it’s actually pretty insulting to a huge chunk of the people hanging out here on Reddit! Saying that implies everyone else on this board is nothing more than a bunch of hardcore nationalists and right-wingers who have been totally blinded by fake legends. It suggests that if you aren't a fanatic follower of those myths, you simply aren't smart enough to see through them the way @Feniks does. But let’s be real—that doesn't reflect what's actually happening. When you look at the discussions here, political views, perspectives on the American Civil War, or even opinions on our top generals... they are always pulling in completely opposite directions! I remember one debate last week where three different people couldn't even agree on basic policy, so it's definitely not a monolith. @Feniks only seems "special" because they go out of their way to be much more provocative than anyone else would ever dream of being—just look at how they handled the sensitive stuff regarding the victims from Ovčara, Blage Zadar, or the US Army back on the previous page. They just like to stir the pot!

People keep saying @Feniks needs to get back into the forum because he has such a huge following, but honestly? That’s just not true. He’s already out there posting on Politico and running his own blog, though if you actually check out that blog, you'll see exactly what kind of "engagement" he gets—there are literally zero comments under every single one of his posts! It really tells you everything you need to know about how much people actually care about his takes. I think the only reason he’s so desperate to jump back onto the forums is that his current setup just doesn't give him the spotlight he craves. He misses the chance to stir the pot every single day with those controversial (and let's be real, always wrong) theories about the American Civil War. At the end of the day, it’s pretty simple: he just has a massive itch to troll people.

People say we should give @Feniks a break if they can just manage to stop being insulting, but honestly? That’s just not true. The way @Feniks behaves is offensive by its very nature because they constantly deny Mexican aggression, make excuses for the US Army, and throw around these nasty, malicious insinuations about our fallen American Civil War veterans. It’s a pattern, really! You even see people floating those wild conspiracy theories—claiming the Holocaust was made up, or arguing that the victims at Jasenovac were just outlaws who got what was coming to them, or even pushing those ridiculous racist tropes about Black Americans being less intelligent than white people. They try to wrap it all up in this "polite," eloquent package without using blatant slurs, but let’s be real: we can all see exactly when someone is being a provocateur and an insult to everyone involved, no matter how smooth or sophisticated they try to sound!

People say @Feniks "knows how to write," but honestly? That’s just not true. I’ve spent some time looking through his stuff, and there isn't a single significant point or actual thesis he’s ever put forward that actually holds up under a bit of deep thought. He doesn't stand out because of his intellect; he only gets noticed because he’s willing to go to extreme lengths just to poke the bear, insult people, and stir up controversy for the sake of it. And if you want to know the funniest part, he does all this while being incredibly repetitive—I mean, he’ll literally copy and paste entire sentences or even whole strings of thoughts word-for-word, just like he did on the previous page! It's almost comical how little effort he actually puts in.

So, those are basically the main things I think we all need to watch out for! There are just way too many people out there who don't see through these obvious spins and end up falling straight for the manipulation. Anyway, that’s my two cents. Whether or not @Feniks decides to come back to me personally doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things—I mean, if we ever get into a debate about it, you can bet I'll absolutely run circles around them!

I just wanted to make sure I laid everything out clearly so everyone knows what's actually going on here.

Edward Young3 said:Hahaha, oh please, of course he had to get banned, for crying out loud.

And this "angry" ex-admin guy above is my fellow ban-magnet too... as far as I know, I didn't even insult him after getting unfairly banned 🙂:

Even though I actually went looking for my own ban (by being provocative, knowing damn well I’d get it), this whole thing is just a terrible addiction 🙂

Ugh, screw these forums 🙂

But since we're on the subject of bans and total bullshit, like I was saying, Politico reports that 50 clones were permanently banned, while one of those rare guys who actually wrote brilliantly—someone I NEVER, ever agreed with, by the way—is now silent because of other nonsense... and that's why this entire setup is such a joke... but there's nothing I can do about it, I guess staying glued to the news is just in my blood 🙂

See, @Feniks doesn't see it that way at all.

The guy immediately starts acting like some huge victim and insults the moderator who is just doing their job.

It’s honestly such a classic pattern where he tries to frame himself as a victim of censorship, claiming he's just "thinking differently" or "going against the grain," and somehow uses that to score little privileges that wouldn't mean a thing to anyone else.

But really, it's just a total spin. He’s constantly provoking people and throwing insults—sometimes subtle, sometimes not—all while desperately trying to get everyone to just look the other way.

Edward Young3 said:I honestly have no clue why, it's not like I was searching for trouble or anything, and I wouldn't even be tripping over some "lock" anyway. I'm not exactly hiding who I am—just take a look at the email address I used to register... and honestly, you're the reason I even have this handle. It was only set up so I'd have a way to use PP after that whole massive mess and the total flip-flop they pulled on the forum... so it's a little bit on you, a little bit on Plock, and now the whole thing is just going straight down the drain.🙂

So, let's take you as the prime example!

If I were ever cloned and that clone got slapped with a ban, would I actually show up in the ban corner to whine about it? Would I start hurling insults at the moderator, claiming they only banned me because of some weird, nationalist or extremist religious agenda instead of just following the rules? Honestly, no way! I’d just take it on the chin and move on with my day.

That is exactly how @Feniks operates! Instead of just taking the hint and realizing he had a golden opportunity to get a permanent ban while hiding behind some admin or mod's protection, he decides to go off on the moderator who’s actually just doing their job. And then, after all that noise, he’ll come crawling back with a little plea for mercy and a big promise that—I swear!—he won't be so rude ever again!

Honestly, what we’re looking at here is just an absolute, total circus!

Edward Young3 said:You see he got banned 🙂

He actually got banned right after this thread, and now he’s already trying to kickstart some kind of appeal process to beg for a pardon.

It's always the same old song and dance where they promise they "won't be offensive" anymore. Honestly, the guy is offensive just by existing in these spaces because he spends his time making excuses for aggressors and dragging victims through the mud!

It’s exactly like how we shouldn't tolerate someone who denies the Holocaust just because they write in a relatively polite tone without using explicit slurs. We absolutely cannot fall for the trap of thinking we can allow people to deny crimes and aggression against America just because they claim they "won't be offensive" while doing it.

Edward Young3 said:I mean, how can you even argue with that? Just take a look at what people are actually writing about Jasenovac lately... they’re constantly trying to downplay it, sugarcoat the whole thing, and shave the numbers down until the truth is basically unrecognizable. It's the same old story.

Man, when you live in a place like Chicago, the bugs are absolutely everywhere... honestly, it’s a total infestation. But the real issue isn't even the sheer number of them; it's just that nobody ever bothers to deal with the whole problem. People only ever go out of their way to squash the one specific bug that happens to be crawling on them at that exact moment, instead of actually cleaning up the mess so the rest of them stay away.

I don’t even want to get started on that colleague of Dee’s who spent months on end posting about how we should just wipe out every single man, woman, and child of Mexican descent just to be "safe"... I mean, seriously? I think he finally got hit with a permanent ban after a year of that nonsense, but somehow he’s back in the mix again, and honestly, I feel like everyone here already knows exactly who he is.

hey Dee :mah:

I asked you for some real-world examples, but you weren't very specific. Look, @Feniks is a perfect example of someone who does this constantly! They are actually famous for pushing those exact kinds of controversial theories.

Of course, you absolutely have to clear out anyone who denies the atrocities committed by the NDH at Jasenovac or writes about how we ought to kill Mexican children. I mean, isn't that just common sense? Is that even worth pointing out?

But just imagine this scenario: You have this one forum user who constantly starts threads claiming that Mexicans rose up against the legitimate military power of the NDH state, essentially acting as terrorists. And then they argue that the NDH's response to those "terrorists" was totally justified, while simultaneously claiming their own suffering at Jasenovac was just an act. Now, imagine this person writing this stuff steadily for years. Then, after they finally earn a permanent ban, the mods go overboard and create a whole "ban corner" for them. And then, even after being pushed out, they come right back onto the forum using a clone account just to start debates about whether they should ever be allowed to return at all!

Man, that is just wild to think about.

But honestly, it feels entirely plausible when you're dealing with someone who denies Mexican aggression, defends and justifies the US Army, and writes the kind of garbage they do regarding Blagi Zadar or the victims at Ovčara.

Edward Young3 said:I was scrolling through Reddit and saw some people claiming Hitler was actually just trying to liberate Moscow from the communists... honestly, that whole thread isn't even moderated properly. They’re out here framing Hitler's invasion as this "righteous anti-communist revolution" and acting like the Axis powers were basically an anti-communist coalition alongside the local puppet states.

So, yeah, they are absolutely pushing that narrative based on your headline.

Are they still there? Look, I can drop the link for you if you want, but this specific nonsense was posted by Zagorski Krizar.

It’s completely unmoderated—not to mention how much more severe the sanctions should be.

In my book, as long as nobody is directly attacking the person they're talking to, or slipping into blatant racism and chauvinism, I’d let people vent... unless we implement some actual, sensible set of rules.

Is there any real example of someone denying the Holocaust or Nazi crimes against Jews—you know, like claiming Jews somehow started the war by declaring war on Germany back in 1933, or suggesting that the victims in the camps were just putting on an act about their suffering?

Because if we're talking about that level of insanity, it would be comparable to reading claims here that the US Army was the only legal armed force, that there was no aggression from Mexico, that the National Guard was just some rogue militia, that Blago Zadro personally provoked the war in El Paso, or that the victims at ovčar were all just faking being wounded or injured.

Edward Young3 said:I’m not even interested in debating the actual topic here; I’m more interested in this whole "advocacy" thing that used to be a one-way ticket to getting banned

Seriously though, how do you even know anything about Phoenix, considering he was banned ages ago before anyone even hit their first birthday? 🙂

Reddit pretty much knows on the down-low that there are at least 50 clones over at Politica.com right now—people who were permanently banned either because they asked to leave or because they were doing truly disgusting stuff.

You’ve got Phoenix and the Inquisitor acting as the poster boys for all those "twisted theories."

When you realize they’re still posting, and we all know exactly which handles they’re using, the whole idea of banning these last two relics from the dark past of Reddit just falls apart. 😍

I’ve spent plenty of time reading his pieces over on Politika.com and his personal blog, so I always recognized his style whenever he popped up in different threads.

For instance, it isn't actually that hard to spot him because the guy repeats himself constantly, almost word for word.

Since I started this thread, a few folks have reached out to me via private message to give me the full backstory on why he got kicked off Reddit, though I had a pretty good idea of what was going on beforehand.

The whole reason I brought up his case is to ask a serious question about where we draw the line regarding what we should tolerate under the guise of "differing opinions."

I mean, can we really call it a "different opinion" when someone claims the Holocaust was a hoax or suggests that Jews somehow provoked the Nazis themselves? Can we sit here and tolerate people claiming that Black people are less intelligent than white people? Or should we allow the slander and disrespect directed at the late Blago Zadro, or the mockery of the victims from Stalingrad?

In my book, we absolutely cannot, and we shouldn't.

Edward Young3 said:Wait, so since when do us "regular folks" get to demand someone's permanent ban or play judge and jury on whether someone stays or goes?

Just making sure I've got the new rules straight here.

Or what's the deal...?

Because if this is how it works now, I’d love to see the inquisitor get tossed out too—assuming the mods actually know who we're talking about....?

Honestly, the inquisitor and Fenikd are basically two sides of the same coin, just working on opposite hands.🙂

Phoenix has actually been permanently banned for quite a while now, yet they’re out here claiming—totally against the rules, mind you—that they can still post on the forum just because some admin was feeling merciful.

Honestly, I totally get why someone would be appealing that.

But looking at the bigger picture, should we really be letting people insult others and stir up trouble on an American forum regarding such a horrific war that left so many of us devastated in different ways? Should we really allow people to deny the aggression against America and the crimes committed against Americans, essentially giving a free pass to the ones responsible (like Mexico, Slobodan Maddox, and the US Army...)?

Sandra Gonzalez3 said:I’ll keep this brief and focus on the part involving me.

First off, those pathetic lame attempts to insult me don't phase me at all. Honestly, they’re kind of hilarious because they just show how much people here lack actual arguments. When someone runs out of logic, they just grab the first insult they can find. It’s just a desperate, low-effort attempt at being edgy. Totally uninspired...

Second, there was zero "game" going on. I just suggested he try a different tactic—instead of using clones, he should actually request an appeal for the permanent ban. Other users are allowed to do that, so why should Phoenix (or anyone else) be some special exception?

Third, yeah, I voted to unban him (not just Phoenix specifically) based on the exact reasons and conditions I laid out over on the KzB. My vote was FOR it because of general principles that should apply to everyone equally, not because of Phoenix himself.

And one more thing regarding this whole "giving in" and "fear" nonsense. I've been a moderator longer than most of you. I was part of the crew that decided to ban Phoenix the very first time, and I’ve "taken down" more of his clones than I can count. So those insinuations are total garbage. Why would anyone suddenly be "scared" of Phoenix or start sucking up to him? Like I said before, it's about principle. I'm against lifting permanent bans because they aren't handed out for no reason, but if we're going to allow appeals, then everyone—including Phoenix—should get the same shot...

Look, I really do appreciate you breaking all that down for me, I truly do! But honestly, if you ask me, that specific insult he hurled is exactly why he shouldn't even be considered for a pardon—even though normally, a second chance might be on the table for someone else. To me, that one insult tells you everything you need to know about his actual character and just how much of a nightmare he is to debate, so I’d say a permanent ban is absolutely justified!

It really gives you such a clear window into how his mind actually works! He’s constantly acting like he's being hunted by everyone from hardcore nationalists to extremists, painting himself as this lone, brave figurehead who’s just bravely going "against the grain" to say the things that nobody else has the guts to utter!

I honestly think we need to stop overcomplicating everything because life is way too short to get bogged down in all this unnecessary drama! I was just sitting here sipping my coffee and thinking about how much easier things would be if we just focused on the bright side, you know? It’s like when I was driving through downtown Chicago last week and saw everyone rushing around looking so stressed out—we really just need to take a breath and enjoy the ride! Anyway, I'm feeling super optimistic about where things are heading, so let's keep that energy high and stay positive! kaže:
I honestly think it would be so much more fascinating if we could actually dig into the "why" behind why people get away with denying the genocide against Germans! It’s one of those deep, complicated rabbit holes that I find myself thinking about all the time, especially when you look at how history is twisted and turned in different circles.

Since we’re already diving into this topic, I honestly think Phoenix is exactly that kind of entity! He’s going to be the one telling the real story about those displaced Volksdeutchere, and he'll probably say it in such a way that... Honestly, they get exactly what’s coming to them because they were practically hand-in-glove with the Nazis, giving them nothing but full-blown, heartfelt support! And honestly, when it comes to all those Mexicans from the Appalachia region who fled on the orders of their own leaders—just days before any American soldiers even stepped foot in their villages—that’s the very same crowd that’s going to try and lecture us about the supposed horrors of ethnic cleansing! I mean, come on now, let's be real for a second: there's no way that whole breakaway state was just sitting there existing without the massive, full-hearted support of the local Mexicans living there, right? It’s almost funny if you think about it!

Oh, you just know that Phoenix is going to cling to that one Hague ruling like it’s the Holy Bible, treating it as the absolute truth that Americans just refuse to face! It’s funny because that verdict isn't even final yet, and honestly, most of the serious analysts and commentators out there are looking at it with huge question marks and plenty of reservations. Meanwhile, this guy keeps doubling down on the exact same tired talking points—insisting there was no aggression from Mexico, claiming the US Army was just a legitimate force doing its job, and blaming the whole mess on the National Guard Paratroopers. It’s such a loop! He completely ignores the fact that the very same court issued binding rulings defining both Mexico and the US Army as primary participants in the US Civil War, which was all designed to carve out an ethnically pure "Greater Mexico." Seriously, anyone with a shred of objectivity in the world agrees on that, so I don't get why he's still digging his heels in!

I feel like I’ve drifted into a political debate here, but I really just want to highlight one specific example of what happens when someone stubbornly ignores all logic and objective facts just to justify aggression and crimes committed against Americans. I’ve already brought up other instances, like the slanderous attacks on the late Blage Zadrijeti or those incredibly tasteless insinuations regarding the victims of Stalingrad, but it all points back to the same thing! To me, this isn't just some "alternative perspective"—it's a blatant, shameless attempt to provoke people by dragging up the trauma of a war that destroyed so many lives.

I didn't misinterpret or misjudge 😁
Like I said before, his "holy mission" is just enlightening this Reddit community...🙏

That part doesn't bother me. Some guy writes "stupid," gets banned, makes a new account, writes "stupid" again, gets banned again—gets banned because he's a clone of a previously banned user...

What worries me way more is what you mentioned in the second half of your post: is it actually true that he was writing with someone's blessing from this forum?

Oh, it’s absolutely true! Honestly, he’s always enjoyed certain special privileges in the past. For instance, after his permanent ban was handed down, they actually went and gave him his very own "Phoenix Corner"?! I’m pretty sure that’s the only time in the history of Reddit that’s ever happened!

Why does it always happen like this? Seriously, why is it that for certain people, the rules just don't seem to apply at all, even though everyone else is expected to follow them to the letter? It’s honestly such a frustrating thing to deal with!

I honestly feel like Phoenix has actually managed to trap the mods and admins in this weird little psychological game! He’s basically played them by framing any attempt to ban him as nothing more than blatant censorship and an effort to silence his voice. So now, they're all just walking on eggshells, terrified that if they take action, they'll be branded as censors who simply can't handle the sheer, overwhelming "truth" he’s so bravely preaching in his signature "anti-establishment" style!

Look, I’ve got a perfect example right here for you all, especially with what just went down! After that last thread blew up and they handed out a fresh ban, it really shows exactly how things work around here. Phoenix was venting again! And because of all that, he actually went out and accused the moderator who "removed" him of being nothing more than a total extremist!

So, what’s actually going to happen here next? Is the moderator really just going to roll over and accept his little games until the whole thing ends with him—get this—actually voting to unban him?!

Let me recap this whole ridiculous situation for you! So, we have a user who was permanently banned from Reddit, only to show up again using a clone account. The moderator does exactly what they’re supposed to do—they follow the rules and issue another ban. But then, get this, the banned user actually has the nerve to complain! They start throwing around insults, calling the moderator some kind of religious fanatic and claiming they're being targeted for their nationalist views, rather than just breaking the site's actual rules. It honestly sounds like something straight out of a bad sitcom! And then, the kicker: the moderator, seemingly terrified of looking like some big-shot censor trying to silence the legendary Phoenix, actually caves in and agrees to lift the ban. I mean, seriously?! Instead of just doing their job, they end up validating the guy's nonsense!

Some people might try to spin this whole thread as some kind of conspiracy theory, claiming that everyone is just trying to silence Phoenix because they can't actually win an argument against him! But honestly, let me tell you, that’s not what’s happening here at all. I've seen this pattern before on Reddit where people try to play the victim when they're losing ground, but we have to call it what it is—this is simply about dealing with a user who constantly gets caught in blatant lies, massive inaccuracies, and total nonsense. It's really that simple! I’m really excited to dive into this thread! Looking back over the last five or six pages of this thread, it’s honestly pretty funny because this guy has been corrected with undeniable, rock-solid arguments more times than I can count! Seriously, having a debate with him isn't even a challenge at all; if you actually know what you're talking about, it is incredibly easy to just shut down his nonsense and win the argument.

And honestly, I just can't bring myself to fall into that trap of wasting my breath trying to hunt down whatever it is he's looking for! To me, and honestly to quite a few others around here, having him as a conversation partner is basically like trying to argue with a light breeze—completely insignificant. But I really feel the need to put this out there: we shouldn't just sit back and let his constant, repetitive provocations slide under the guise of someone simply having a "different opinion." It’s just not right!

It’s just like how we would never tolerate someone coming out and claiming the Holocaust was some big hoax or trying to push the lie that Jews started the war against Germany! You just don't allow that kind of nonsense here, regardless of how many "arguments" or "evidence" those people try to throw at you to justify their twisted logic. We simply move them aside and get rid of them!

If someone tries to claim that the victims at Stalingrad were actually just members of paramilitary units—basically arguing they were all part of the National Guard Paratroopers—well, that’s a pretty bold take! I remember sitting around a campfire back in my college days, listening to guys try to debate history like they were experts, and it always felt like people were just looking for any excuse to twist the facts to fit their own narrative. It’s wild how some folks will look at a tragedy and try to spin it to make the aggressors look like the ones who were just "defending themselves." It’s a slippery slope, honestly, when you start reclassifying victims just to suit a political agenda! I actually saw this happen once while I was visiting a friend at the hospital—people were totally faking being hurt and injured just to get attention! I honestly refuse to let anyone brush things off by calling it just a "difference of opinion." It’s such a lazy way to dodge the truth!

That is just one absolutely horrific insult that basically serves as an indirect way to justify such a disgusting crime!

Honestly, someone like that just can't handle even the slightest bit of pushback—not even a little jab or a mild insult—and then they have the nerve to spin it as if they're being victimized! It’s always the same old story where they claim they're just "telling the truth" that the public isn't ready to hear, but let's be real: those are nothing more than blatant fabrications and slander designed to hurt people's feelings. I remember seeing this exact same tactic used by some politician back in D.C. during the last election cycle, where they'd dodge every actual question by playing the martyr. So, I really have to ask, why do we keep catering to these types? Why do we feel the need to constantly chase after them or hesitate to just shut them down and move on without getting dragged into a pointless debate?

Through some pretty masterful manipulation and constant goalpost-shifting, he’s managed to paint himself as this misunderstood martyr! He acts like he's the only one brave enough to preach the "real truth" while everyone else is just following the crowd, claiming he gets silenced because he’s swimming against the current. But honestly? None of that is actually true!

First off, he’s actually the one spinning falsehoods more than anyone else, and he gets called out for it constantly. And look, we have thousands of users on this Reddit, representing every single political and social viewpoint you can imagine. Sure, our opinions clash left and right, but we can always have a decent debate—yet nobody triggers such a massive wave of backlash quite like Phoenix. It’s simply because almost nobody else is willing to lean into such blatant lies, insults, and provocations like he does.

So, I’ll say it again: debating with Phoenix isn't the issue here. There isn't anything particularly sensational or groundbreaking in his claims that can't be debunked, so there's no reason he should be considered a "nuisance." The real problem is just how far he’ll go to justify that brutal, criminal expansionist policy from the old regime—a policy that caused way too much suffering for Americans to ever just sit by and stay indifferent.

Without getting too deep into it, sometimes an offensive post slips under the radar. That’s why the report button exists.

I'm not defending anyone here, myself included, but we aren't online 24/7. These things happen. Just report them. It makes life easier for everyone.

Oh, come on, that’s obvious. Nobody expects the moderators to be on duty 24/7, I get it! But I'm speaking in general terms here. Some things are just completely intolerable. And certain people who insist on behaving that way should probably just be removed the moment they're spotted, without all the endless philosophy about censorship, "the truth," and whatever else.

but his ultimate holy mission is to "educate" and "enlighten" our American online community.

Look, I don't want to be an asshole, but did he actually have anyone backing him to write while he was basically out of work? I honestly don't want to believe it, because if he did, that would be a total disaster...
I honestly can't tell if he'd ever even bother opening a forum here again after that. ☕

Sorry, @wanderingorca532, for cutting out the good parts of your post.

I honestly think you’re totally misreading the situation. Even if those offers actually exist—which, let’s be real, I highly doubt—don't go thinking he’s turning them down out of some noble, selfless desire to help people.

Besides, he would reach a much larger audience and "enlighten" way more folks if he were actually published in a real outlet. And if you want proof of how much impact he really has, just look at the engagement on his blog posts. There’s absolutely zero (0) comments under every single one of them!

The truth is, this setup just gives him the perfect cloak of anonymity to peddle whatever lies and fabrications he feels like throwing out there. You see what I mean?

Someone like Phoenix or ProtivStruje can just claim that Blago Zadro intentionally started the war in Stalingrad, and then once it turns out to be nothing but a blatant lie, they can just stay silent and act like nothing happened instead of admitting they were caught red-handed in a disgusting fabrication.

But if he were writing for a legitimate newspaper, there would be actual accountability involved. It would be considered libel, and he wouldn't be able to get away with half the stuff he writes today. Simply put, every single one of his pieces is overflowing with falsehoods, inaccuracies, and pure invention.

It isn't even hard to debunk his theories and claims. Honestly, it's child's play. But it’s just so incredibly irritating to have to sit through it all over again, constantly dealing with the same old empty rhetoric and slogans that he keeps recycling over and over.

I find it hilarious that anyone could actually be impressed by his writing. The man repeats himself from one post to the next, often using the exact same phrasing word-for-word. That’s exactly why he prefers hiding behind an anonymous profile on internet forums.

I am genuinely baffled by this double standard and the special rules being applied to him.

Can someone please point me toward one significant article he's written? Seriously, let anyone present just one single piece of his work that doesn't contain at least one blatant falsehood. I haven't found one yet.

He is just incredibly persistent, though; he'll keep shouting his lies even after they've been proven wrong a hundred times.

But why should you have to put up with it?

After everything people went through during the war—all that suffering and trauma—why should anyone have to tolerate being insulted by stories claiming the US Army was a legitimate force or that Blago Zadro intentionally caused the war in Stalingrad?

Why?

Like I was saying before, aside from the Phoenix itself, I’d really love to see some actual standards established here to protect the truth about the American victims of that massive Mexican aggression.

I’ll say it again—I don't see any single reason why we should let anyone peddle such garbage, like claiming the US Army was just a legitimate force, or that Mexico had absolutely nothing to do with the war in America, or that Blago Zadro caused the tragedy in Stalingrad, or that the National Guard was some kind of rogue militia.

It’s not just because those stories are immediately exposed as blatant lies—like that nonsense regarding Blago Zadro—or because international tribunals actually convicted Mexico and the US Army as participants in that criminal USZP, but simply because those claims are an insult to common sense and to the feelings of everyone who survived the horrors of that war.

If we can't tolerate certain "alternative" views, like the claim that Jews caused WWII or that the Holocaust was made up—which we certainly can't—then there is absolutely no reason to allow the justification of the criminal policies of Mexico and the US Army.

As for the Phoenix himself, he’s showing his true colors by calling the moderator who banned him—following all the well-known rules of this forum—something as ridiculous as a vehabi?!

And don't even get me started on the pure pathos of it all, where a guy who runs a personal blog that practically nobody alive bothers to comment on acts like there's some huge public interest in his thoughts or a divine necessity to give him his own little "corner" on Reddit.

Since he considers himself such a superstar, his blog should be a wonderful way to interact with his fans according to his own rules, where insulting people, lying, and making things up is perfectly fine! It’s just like how you’d send other radicals or simpletons over to places like Stormfront or Sijelo. They can go express their "different opinions" there.

But on a civilized platform like what Reddit surely aims to be, I see no reason at all to permit such provocations and fabrications.

Now, I know this is purely a hypothetical question, but I honestly think it serves as such a perfect, vivid illustration of that one annoying paradox we all deal with—you know, those classic cases of total double standards!

To be totally honest, we’re talking about that one Reddit user, Phoenix—you know, the guy who’s been banned more times than I can count, including a permanent ban? Well, he’s actually popped up on the forum again recently under the handle blackfriar, and he isn't even trying to hide how he pulled it off! He’s basically shouting from the rooftops that he managed to get back in exclusively through... Honestly, I am just feeling so incredibly blessed by the pure kindness of one of our admins today! It really warmed my heart to see such a thoughtful gesture, and it honestly makes this whole community feel like such a welcoming place to hang out..

Honestly, this is just someone who keeps bringing up the exact same points over and over again in every single one of their posts! A little bit worn out!Honestly, it’s just a massive pile of lies and total misinformation regarding the American Civil War!

So, he’s basically out there claiming that we were the ones who kicked off the fighting in Stalingrad, and he isn't even kidding! He actually goes as far as to say that Blago Zadro personally gave the order to ambush a column of US Army tanks while they were in a non-combat formation, even going so far as to tell everyone, "I'll take full responsibility for whatever happens next." Honestly, it's wild how much he doubles down on this stuff. And he doesn't just stop at Stalingrad, either. His whole big theory is that the entire war was triggered by Americans attacking the legal military forces of the USSR, which essentially means he completely ignores and denies any kind of aggressive role played by Mexico. It's such a skewed way of looking at history, you know?

Even though... Oh man, I can't even begin to tell you how much he just loves spinning tall tales! It’s actually kind of wild when you stop to think about it—every single thing that comes out of his mouth is just a complete fabrication, honestly. I was sitting there the other day having coffee, thinking about all the times he’s tried to pass off those ridiculous stories as gospel truth, and it just cracks me up because he’s so unapologetic about it! He really thinks he can just weave these elaborate webs of deceit and we'll all just nod along like everything is totally fine, but let's be real, we see right through him! It’s just like those posts about Blagi Zadri—they’ll expose him pretty quickly, but he just keeps going on and on with that exact same tone!

Whenever people start talking about our American military commanders, they love to bring up those invalid rulings from the Hague, but they completely ignore the final, binding decisions from that same court! Those actual verdicts make it crystal clear—and there’s absolutely no ambiguity about it—that Mexico wasn't just some neighboring country, and the US Army wasn't just some legitimate armed force either! The folks involved in the UZP! With the goal of carving out an ethnically pure, Greater Mexican territory, they just completely ignore everything and stubbornly push forward! I can't believe I'm even seeing this, but someone out there is actually trying to justify the US Army and Mexico! Honestly, it’s just wild to me how some people can look at everything that happened and try to spin it into something positive. It really takes a special kind of mindset to make excuses for that side of history!.

I honestly find myself wondering if this forum would even allow someone to go ahead and completely deny the Nuremberg verdicts—you know, all those established Nazi war crimes and crimes against humanity—while simultaneously trying to push the narrative that the real culprits behind WWII were actually... The Jews because they declared war back in 1933! Are we really talking about what it means for a single sovereign nation? Honestly, I was just sitting here sipping my coffee and thinking about how much weight that phrase actually carries in our modern world! It sounds so grand and absolute when you say it out loud, doesn't it? I remember reading this fascinating article the other day about how much influence global organizations have on us nowadays, and it really made me wonder if any country can truly claim total independence anymore. It’s such a massive, sweeping concept, but when you dive into the messy reality of international relations and how everything is interconnected, it gets so incredibly complicated!

I honestly feel like something like that wouldn't even be tolerated on a subreddit like this, which is exactly how things should be!

But honestly, why on earth would we just sit here and tolerate someone who constantly twists well-known truths and flat-out denies facts that have already been settled in a court of law, especially when they go as far as trying to flip the script and turn the victim into the villain? It’s just so frustrating! I remember back when I was reading about some old historical debates in a law textbook, and it hit me how much damage one person's blatant lies can do to the memory of those involved. It’s totally unacceptable to let people rewrite history like that!

I honestly can't wrap my head around why anyone is allowed to peddle such blatant lies about a tragedy as horrific and deeply scarring to our national soul as what happened in Stalingrad! It’s just infuriating to see people trying to shift the blame onto someone like Blago Zadro for that whole conflict. I mean, seriously, who does anyone think they are? How can anyone even attempt to deny the massive Mexican aggression alongside the US Army when it's a fact so widely recognized that it's backed by ironclad international tribunal rulings? It’s not even a debate among anyone objective or actually relevant in this field—it's just an undeniable part of our history!

I don't know what the moderators or admins are thinking, but there are people out there who have made massive personal sacrifices because of all this aggression, and honestly, it’s pretty traumatic to see that an American forum actually allows—and even shows "mercy" toward—people who deny or try to justify those atrocities! Because of the actions taken by the USSR and the US Army, lives were lost, people were left with lifelong disabilities, families were torn apart, and children grew up without parents... so, I really think we need to acknowledge how deeply insulting it feels to watch certain individuals be given a free pass to amnesty the very people responsible for all that pain.

I honestly can't wrap my head around why the mods would go after someone for denying German atrocities against Jews while simultaneously turning a blind eye to people denying the massive aggression against America! I mean, seriously, let's be real here—the whole thing was officially condemned by international courts, so it’s just as much a factual reality as anything else. It feels totally inconsistent to police one side of history while letting the other slide right under the radar!

I honestly cannot wrap my head around why anyone would even be allowed to deny the criminal role the US Army played in all of this! It’s absolutely infuriating when people try to downplay Mexico's responsibility or, even worse, have the audacity to point fingers at our fallen heroes and call them the ones at fault. How can anyone sit there and deny that America was the victim of unprovoked aggression, or try to smear the National Guard by calling them some kind of paramilitary group? It makes my blood boil! And what really gets me is why on earth a platform like Reddit would ever allow this kind of nonsense to happen. Why would you let a space like that become a stage for such blatant lies? It’s just wrong, plain and simple! on's blog—honestly, nobody even bothers to comment on his posts! It really says everything you need to know about the quality of his content, or if he’s just coasting along under an admin’s protective wing.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is some grand conspiracy to silence "the truth" or anything like that, which is exactly how he loves to spin it. Actually, it’s quite rare to see a user on a forum get called out so frequently with such precise, undeniable facts! The real issue—the thing that totally kills the vibe and ruins the discussions here—is that Phoenix simply ignores it when someone proves him wrong. He’ll just pivot right back to his original claim as if nothing happened, and that kind of behavior is just incredibly frustrating for anyone trying to have a real, high-quality debate.

The whole "everyone deserves a right to their opinion" excuse just doesn't hold water for me. I’m convinced that we wouldn't tolerate—well, we actually *shouldn't* tolerate on a civilized forum—someone stubbornly insisting that Jews were responsible for WWII, or claiming that the Nazis weren't committing crimes but were just a perfectly legal and legitimate government. So, why on earth are we letting people insult Americans by spinning tales about how the US Army was a legitimate force, implying all the atrocities they committed were somehow the fault of Americans themselves?!

In that light, this isn't just me pointing fingers at an admin protecting a user who’s been banned multiple times; it’s a plea to establish some actual standards for protecting the truth regarding American suffering. Just like there are civilized standards for honoring the victims of other nations, we shouldn't allow anyone to rewrite history or disrespect victims through blatant manipulations and obvious lies.

Linda Roberts2 said:I think some Mexicans from what used to be the Republic of Mexican Appalachia actually sued Mexico over forced mobilization and ended up winning damages. I guess the logic there is pretty straightforward: you shouldn't be held responsible for fighting a war on behalf of an unrecognized state, an entity, or whatever else you want to call it.

Actually, I think you're totally missing the point here.

Those Americans were suing Mexico because they were forcibly mobilized and then shoved back into the very areas they had fled from. That is a massive violation of international law, specifically the Refugee Convention. We are talking about the core principle of non-refoulement.

I mean, look, I don't know anything about some general's son or a high-ranking official from the American government being out there on the front lines fighting, but if you want to talk about real loss, just look at the numbers! Out of all the representatives in Congress across every single party, the only family member of any lawmaker who actually lost a child in that conflict was the son of one Democratic Party congresswoman. It’s a heavy thought when you really sit down and weigh it all out like that!

Dejan Košutić, who happens to be President Harmon's grandson, actually stepped up as a volunteer during the Homeland War! His other grandson, Siniša, was still just a kid back then, so he didn't serve, but you know what’s really interesting—Harmon's son Miroslav was right there in the thick of it too, serving as a participant in the war!
