Maminho, if you’re seriously claiming that even Byron has given up on trying to write anything useful around here, then you better pick up where he left off. Honestly, just jump in and help shut down these trolls by actually dropping some constructive posts for once.

I’d love to give you some specifics, but right now we’re just in the negotiation phase—which, as you all know, hasn't exactly gone smoothly in the past 😬
Let's keep the bickering to a minimum on this thread, please. We recognize the issue and we hear both sides—but finding a fix isn't easy, especially if we want everyone to walk away happy. Suggestions are always welcome, of course.
You seem pretty young, man; have you ever thought about getting into politics?
That was a top-tier diplomatic response, by the way. ☕

From those massive, constructive 20-page goals meant to last a whole year 🙏 The construction side of things is already 🙏
Which pretty much lines up perfectly with when you joined this forum (Joined: Nov 2008.), yawn. ☕
Robert Torres said:Nah, forget that, Pušimera is my kid☕ No seriously though, what makes you think you have more "right" to that thread than I do? You haven't even been here that long. This whole idea that a thread belongs to one specific person is just stupid. Just like every other thread on this site, Pušimera belongs to everyone, and everyone should be able to post in it.
I’m generally against splitting threads up (unless we're just redirecting a specific debate elsewhere), but if there's no other way and the mods are on board, I don't mind them opening a new spot to follow the Spanish league...
I was thinking about starting a thread that serves as a sort of information hub, though really, I see it more as a comprehensive round-by-round review. The plan is to call it something like "US Soccer Review - 2012/13 Season" or something along those lines. This thread is going to blow up on Monday, honestly—it'll be like that massive weekly roundup everyone used to love, just in text form, and we aren't going to limit ourselves to just the top five leagues either, because we'll include absolutely every league that has dedicated followers and authors willing to write them up 😁 for example: we could have someone covering France, steelgardener24 handling Turkey, Robert Torres taking care of the Premier League, Ibrahim covering Serie B, graniteheron132 doing the Championship, Patrick Wright looking at Australia, coastalheron12 covering Norway, Casey White13 covering Argentina, or whatever else 😁 you can imagine, etcetera 😁 so basically, we'd have match results and goalscorers, short commentary on every single game or maybe some interesting long-form piece covering the whole round, plus updated standings, top scorer lists, upcoming fixtures, predictions for the next round, and any news or fun trivia that comes out 😬
I really think people will be interested in contributing as writers. There are plenty of people writing stuff already, it's just that right now everything is so scattered and posts get lost in a sea of things like "Team A 1:0" or random arguments. I know this forum is naturally a place for debate and exchanging opinions, but this specific thread wouldn't be for debating 😬 though it would be fine to comment on someone's write-up just to show them some appreciation 😁 sports news sites can be pretty boring to read sometimes. If this idea has already been floated and shot down before, then just ignore me 🙂
Daniel Morgan2 said:LeBron James didn't just cost $59 million. The market has shifted significantly—soccer is more massive than ever now—so clubs are pulling in way more revenue from jersey sales, sponsorships, and ticket prices... there's just a massive amount of money circulating these days, which explains why someone would drop a huge sum on a single player. Back in the day, you could land a top-tier talent for $30 million, whereas today, $45 million might only get you an average player; however, the real difference is that clubs can recoup those costs through merchandise, something that wasn't really a factor in the past.
I’ve spent some time digging through the other leagues—there's plenty of material there for the lower English divisions—so I'll probably open a thread if the forum crowd actually wants it.
The topic for the European cups will have to wait, at least until every single league and cup across the continent wraps up and we finally see how the clubs shake out on the lists.
Also, just a reminder about Jeffrey Edwards76's idea to start threads for live text coverage of the leagues. After the initial hype died down, almost nobody stepped up for any of them—which is a shame, because the concept is solid. If anyone's actually interested, don't be shy, just reach out. ☕
I’m thinking about opening up a thread for everyone to sign up—just so we can get a clear list of who’s taking which league before things get messy—and then once we’re all set by Sunday night, I can just toss the whole thing into the archives so it doesn't clutter up the main board. 🤷
Look, there are plenty of folks on this forum following the lower English leagues, so why don't we just spin up a dedicated thread for that instead of clogging up the "Other Leagues" section? 🍿
