The state of this Example topic has reached a total breaking point, honestly. It’s getting straight-up alarming. At this point, trolling isn't just an occasional thing; it’s become our daily routine, which is just pathetic. And if you want to talk about the absolute ringleader of this nonsense, look no further than darkmarlin16. brightpilot6And man, they are right on his heels, just breathing down his neck. Tore, Holger Badstuber, Patrick Martin, Eric Delko, Matthew Anderson4, torrentz, Henry Lee84...there’s more of them out there, honestly, but these are the main culprits. Lately, they've even managed to drag in a few more trolls just to clutter up the thread, and the absolute best example of that is darkmarlin16. Dabizas I honestly can't even remember when this guy first started posting about the Example topic, but lately, he’s been getting way too lazy with his trolling around here.

Honestly, you don't even need to dig deep; just flip through the last couple of pages and it’ll hit everyone like a ton of bricks—everything becomes crystal clear pretty damn fast.

Where even are the moderators? Did they all just collectively decide to go on vacation or something? They aren't answering any questions, and honestly, the trolls are just running wild like they own the place because nobody's doing anything about it. It's a complete joke.

Robert Torres said:I know, I know, I’m totally gonna look like a massive whiner if I say this, but honestly? It’s actually kind of interesting that they opened up a dedicated thread for the lower English leagues. It basically makes sense because people follow them so closely, and it’ll probably take some of the pressure off the "Other Leagues" topic. Look, I’ve got zero beef with it, though. Fine by me.
I mean, seriously, why is everyone making such a massive deal out of just opening one dedicated thread for all the VB16/VRM13 discussions? It’s not like it's rocket science. We could just have one spot where the younger crowd can go to geek out and argue without blowing up every other serious conversation on the board. Honestly, it would save us all a headache. ☕ Could she just shut her trap for once? Seriously, I really don't need to be reading all this nonsense.

I honestly don't even know where to start with this one because it's just such a mess, but let's get into it. The user says:
I mean, honestly, you just have to read this stuff to believe it—it’s actually wild that there are people out there who don't get a massive rush when Lionel Messi scores. Like, seriously, how do you even function? 🙄

I honestly don’t get it—why is it so vital to keep all this constant bickering stuck inside this specific thread? Why does everyone suggest a change for the eightieth time only for absolutely nothing to ever happen? Is it really that deep, like, does Kikica’s hair gel routine actually have some massive impact on pike's mental state or something? It’s ridiculous because there’s this one single thread where idiots aren't even punished; they’re practically being rewarded for it. Look, you guys can go at each other's throats for days if you want, but for the love of god, just move the normal posts to a separate thread so the rest of us can actually find anything useful. And please, spare me all that "you're in the minority" crap, because let's be real—we'd all be exactly the same if we just wiped out all the clones.

Jeffrey Edwards76 said:If anything at all actually matters here, I’m siding with Byron m. 😁 Just open the floodgates and let them cook, man, seriously—it’s not like they ever shut up anyway. Nobody is stopping anyone from actually writing like a civilized human being on Example, after all. Though, honestly, I have my doubts if these kids even know how to hold a decent conversation if they tried. ☕

Gary Torres60 said:Look, it’s not even about who’s typing or which teams get dragged through the mud, it’s the actual subject matter. Does it seriously not bore any of you to death that we’re restarting this same old nonsense every single week—like the endless debates over Lionel Messi's growth hormones, or whatever garbage involving France? I mean, props to you guys for having the energy to dig up the same old dirt over and over, but wouldn't it be killer if we just moved all that stuff to its own dedicated thread? Or maybe just implement some stricter rules, though that sounds pretty stupid and let's be real, there's zero chance that's actually going to happen.

Robert Torres said:What kind of witch hunt is this? We should be able to act like adults and just say what’s bothering us openly without all the whining, and then the person who has something to say can just respond properly.

It’s not like anyone is bothering me on this forum, and I wouldn't go around banning people just because I feel like it, let's be clear about that. It’s just that after four years—during which we seemingly decide to "fix" something every six months—I am just straight-up done with hearing the exact same crap on loop.

What are you actually getting at here?

You think this is trolling?
I mean, sure, I get that, but let's be real—that was just one single post, whereas the people I just listed out over there are doing this kind of stuff non-stop and they aren't even getting slapped with a penalty for it.

It’s pretty much the same deal as this post of yours being trolling.

I'm basically begging Nica to step in and fix the state of American football once and for all.

I wouldn't go that far, honestly.

Maybe try scrolling through the last few pages of this Example topic before you start spouting nonsense.🙄

I don't see any trolling on my end; if anything, I'm just trying to stay out of threads where people are actively nuking the whole conversation.

I was actually reading through an Example back when you were still permabanned, so I’m pretty familiar with how people talk around here.

But honestly, it’s kind of hilarious watching someone complain about something they’re doing themselves—it's just that, for some reason, it doesn't suit them at this exact moment.

Eric Fox7 said:I was lurking on Example back when you were still sitting out on a permanent ban, so trust me, I know exactly how people talk over there.

Honestly, it’s just hilarious watching someone whine about something they’re literally doing themselves, just because it suddenly doesn't suit their mood right now.

Give me a break 🙂

It doesn't suit me because I actually give a damn about Example, and frankly, I don't give a single crap about hair gel, designer handbags, or whatever other mindless nonsense gets shoved into a thread meant for FOOTBALL.

So you claim to be all familiar with the way things are run, yet you aren't lifting a finger to fix any of it. 🙏 🙏 🙏
Can you seriously look at this and tell me it's okay, Nica?

Look, I’m volunteering for a mod position here. If you appoint me, you can just kick me to the curb whenever you feel like it.

Look, being a moderator is actually a massive job, and let's be real, most mods on sites like Example don't even do their jobs halfway right.

So why are you even trying to derail this thread?

Having spent more time lurking in the Example thread and other football discussions, I have to say the Example topic is where the trolling is most rampant. It isn't just about the trolling, though. You find off-topic nonsense on every single PDF, but it usually stays within reason. The Example thread is basically just a chaotic chat room masquerading as a football discussion, where people mostly argue about whether CR is gay, how Lionel Messi evaded taxes, or how Real Madrid fans are thugs and losers, and how Barcelonists are total pushovers and similar garbage.

It’s not just mentioned once or twice; it goes on for literal pages and pages. And when they aren't talking about that, they're onto something else. I don't know, yesterday and today there were pages upon pages dedicated to CR's bag. That's just pure trolling, and unfortunately, there's zero constructive debate to be found there.

Forum members like brightpilot6, Holger Badstuber, Eric Delko, Henry Lee84, Patrick Martin, and Tore haven't exactly been known for being constructive, nor do they seem to know how to hold a real conversation. Their priority is trolling, plain and simple, and whenever they actually try to join a discussion, they usually stumble.

So, now Holger is trying to turn the whole thing into a joke by opening this thread, hoping it would look like Maminh's Example, but obviously, it won't work out that way. Like, people think it's funny. It isn't. It's just trolling and nothing else.

If you're going to troll, at least do it well. Hands down, Delko and Henry Lee84 are the worst because they don't even get the joke. At least the others try.

The moderators aren't doing their jobs. It's about time they started.

Michael Gonzalez2, why don't you give us a masterclass on how "constructive conversation" is actually supposed to work over at Example? Or perhaps there's some sort of arrangement where we're being paid just to commission the very posts you intend to read?

By the way, feel free to point me toward any constructive debate where I supposedly failed to hold my own. Or maybe ask Tore to weigh in. Go ahead, tear my arguments apart. Why not start by demonstrating exactly how you handle defending your own positions right from the jump?

And honestly, I fail to see how discussions regarding Lionel Messi's taxes, or the specific playing styles of Spanish clubs and their players, aren't perfectly valid topics for Example. Whether these subjects somehow stifle other discussions is a question for another time. While the topic remains unified, all related debates will stay right here; if they get split up, they certainly won't.

Look, I don't see fan banter or just messing with people as trolling at all. 🤷
Sometimes a conversation or a specific topic just gets me fired up, you know? My temper takes over. It’s never been my goal to pick on someone just because they're being boring or whatever.
I don't do it out of nowhere, ever. 🤷

Take this one Example, for instance—it’s basically her signature move,
but hey, those are just emotions, lady. ☕

They want to write so much, but they just can't 🙂 For example, just two or three years ago, this was easily the most dead topic in football. Where were you all back then? 🙂 Come on, come out and tear us apart, start an argument, tell us how wrong we are... 🧐

brightpilot6 said:Michael Gonzalez2, why don't you show us how "constructive conversation" actually works on Example? Or maybe someone's paying you to order specific posts just so you can read them aloud?

It’s all pretty much pointless because they're constantly trolling there anyway. So, I don't really see the point in showing you anything. Now you guys want to derail this thread too, but the situation is actually pretty straightforward and easy to prove.

brightpilot6 said:By the way, feel free to point me toward any constructive debate where I supposedly failed to hold my own. Or maybe Anthony Jackson2 can chime in. Go ahead—tear my arguments apart. Show me right out of the gate how you actually defend a thesis.

You haven't managed to contribute anything constructive to a single discussion. I remember that massive post you wrote recently—it was a lot of words, but you didn't prove a thing or actually say anything of substance. You just went after Henry Lee84 with all those accusations and insults. Then again, I guess Henry Lee84 might be even worse.

Tore, wait, is this that same guy who can't handle a different opinion? He just mocks everyone if they don't see things his way, even over the most trivial stuff. I guess he's just one of those people who needs every single post he makes to be the final word on the matter.

brightpilot6 said:I mean, I don't see why discussions about Lionel Messi's taxes, or the playing style of Spanish clubs and their players, shouldn't be considered valid topics for La Liga. Whether those subjects overshadow other discussions is debatable, I guess. But since there’s one dedicated thread, all the debate stays there. If we split it up, it won't work.

You’ve finally latched onto a topic that suits you, but it doesn't work like that. The mods will see this—and I don't just mean the ones on the Example threads, but the rest of the moderator crew too. If they bother looking back at the last five or six pages, or if they dig even deeper, all they’re going to find is trolling. It’s easy enough to take things out of context right now, but it’s basically trolling when you refuse to address the stuff everyone else keeps talking about. Just look at those discussions. Do you honestly think I’m going to buy all this denial? Just be honest for once and admit that the trolling there is constant. People aren't blind.

It could be scaled back, for sure, but that doesn't suit your agenda. And honestly, trying to pivot the conversation just to dodge the real issue—the trolling on Example—is pretty transparent. It’s not complicated; people can see exactly what's happening here. I'm just waiting for you to try and steer this in some completely different direction now.

The title of this thread is Just more trolling over on Example. That's exactly what everyone is talking about.

I guess I just get carried away by the conversation sometimes. It’s my temperament, I suppose. I never go into these things with the intention of mocking anyone just because things are getting boring.
Out of nowhere? Never. 🤷

It’s like an example of her trademark style, I guess.
That's just emotions, lady. ☕

The teasing is one thing, but you guys have become so numb to it that it’s actually getting tasteless. It’s not like anyone is out to get you; we’re just trying to show you how ridiculous it looks from the outside. You aren't blind, you've just become completely indifferent. You've been at this for so long that most of what you post is just trolling anyway. I mean, you spent four or five pages obsessing over CR's bag, but what does a bag have to do with the Example? Aside from being Ronald's, what purpose does the bag even serve?

Yeah, I think I finally get what you mean. Indifference. That’s exactly what you guys have turned into.

The fix is basically ready to go—we just need to iron out a few details and launch the whole thing. We're currently stuck on what we’ll actually tolerate and how to set everything up.

Ashley Kern said:It’s honestly all pretty irrelevant, isn't it? When you consider the fact that they spend their entire time over there just relentlessly trolling.

Of course it matters. You seem to want to micromanage communication that you aren't even a part of—a conversation you've never actually joined. Besides, nobody is forcing you to read it, is anyone? This isn't like having neighbors who scream at each other every single night, leaving you with absolutely no choice but to listen whether you want to or not.

Ashley Kern said:It seems you haven’t managed to contribute anything meaningful to a single constructive debate. I still recall that massive post you wrote recently, where you went on at length only to prove absolutely nothing and offer no actual insight. You spent the whole time leveling accusations against Henry Lee84 and hurling insults his way, which is quite ironic considering Henry Lee84 is arguably even more difficult to deal with than you are.

I’m sorry if you found that post a bit difficult to follow, though it really wasn't all that complicated. It was built around a single, straightforward thesis supported by perhaps three or four solid arguments. Was it truly such a complex read?

If nobody had understood what he was saying, I might have actually been open to the criticism, but the point landed clearly enough for a significant group of people. It wasn't just a few insiders, either; even folks outside the usual Real-Barcelona circle seemed to get exactly where he was coming from.

Ashley Kern said:It seems you've finally latched onto a topic that suits your interests, but unfortunately, things don't always work quite that way, do they?

I simply found myself getting caught up in that specific topic you brought up earlier.

Michael Gonzalez2 As if anyone really needs more input on this?
I mean, we’ve been dissecting CR's bag for four or five pages now, but does anyone actually see how much that has to do with the Example?

Are you kidding me? There are maybe twenty posts total regarding Ronald's bag. It barely covers a single page, and that's only if you count the entire period of sour pickles when it comes to the Examples themselves. I really don't understand why you're inflating the scale by 400 or 500 percent, especially if the issue is actually as bad as it seems on its own.

Michael Gonzalez2 said:And what exactly did I say wrong?

I don't get why you won't accept criticism that actually has some merit. Is there constant trolling? Yes. But nobody is calling anyone bad people or hurling personal insults—this La Liga thread is just inherently prone to trolling. I realize it won't vanish overnight, but it could certainly be scaled back. A lot of people aren't even posting because of "us," and if things were better, we'd have way more engagement here.

Honestly, you're acting completely clueless right now—even though you can clearly see how much trolling is happening.

A lot of people aren't posting because of "us"? Jebagaled, it's not like we have the plague. Just look at the threads for the NFL, MLB, Premier League, L1, or other leagues. Are they not seeing the same thing there too? This La Liga section is the way it is because there are two massive clubs at the top, and 95% of the users are fans or followers of FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Leo, or CR. In this kind of environment, trolling is inevitable—but here, it's high-quality trolling. It would be a problem if people were constantly attacking each other with vulgarity; instead, people just poke fun at one another and follow the games together. When we discuss Benzema's pressing, we talk about Benzema's pressing; when it's about Leo's taxes, we talk about Leo's taxes... We're humans, not robots. And honestly, the guys here are a decent crowd—just a bit too many jokers lately.

Ashley Kern said:Well, you haven't managed to hold your own in a single constructive debate. I remember recently you wrote this massive post where you proved absolutely nothing. You were accusing Henry Lee84 of stuff and being disrespectful. Not that Henry Lee84 isn't even worse...

See, now you're the one doing nothing but trolling. It’s not that I’m defending Zinedine Zidane (TM), but if someone occasionally hits back with something constructive, it’s him. If you actually read that post where he was explaining things to Henry Lee84, you'd see the guy handled himself perfectly and actually proved his point to Henry Lee84—whether Henry Lee84 accepted it or not is irrelevant.
