Larry Fox5 said:Plus, all these debates about referees and basic football stuff get shut down just because they’re "off-topic"—as if they don't have any actual fighting potential in them...

Are you seriously expecting people to discuss Real Madrid, Bale, or Tottenham here—on a Premier League board—just to avoid being called off-topic? Seriously?

If that’s the case, then your expectations are totally delusional—it's not even what a real forum is supposed to be about...

Exactly. We were having a perfectly civil conversation without any bickering, just talking about a player who might head to Real. Discussing a potential Real Madrid signing and how they'd fit the squad isn't even really off-topic.

Look, we're discussing serious matters here. We all know you just want someone from your own camp so you can have an easy target to tear apart on your forums.

Look, analoggull4 already said he isn't interested.

That leaves Imran Zakhaev, my dear Mike, Taylor Thompson4, Blay/boldhound8/Ronald Hall, Casey White13, and Johnny Doe. They are all fine; they aren't trolling or anything like that.
Ryan Vaughn7 said:Honestly, they’d probably all try to ban you before you even finished saying Christian's name.

I don't think so. That's exactly why I picked people who are decent—folks who aren't out to troll. Aside from analoggull4, nobody here is acting like a total VB/VRM type.
I’d like to put forward a few suggestions—neonfalcon16, my dear friend, Taylor Thompson4, Blay/boldhound8/Ronald Hall, and analoggull4/Casey White13.

Oh, and let’s not forget Johnny Doe; his arguments are always well-reasoned, none of that nonsense...

If you don't believe me, just ask Nica. 🙂

Look, if being sarcastic about a question that’s been asked twenty-four times already—when there's literally a dedicated megathread for it—is a crime, then go ahead and kill me. It doesn't deserve anything better than a snarky reply.

I believe you. However, if you think it's acceptable for a moderator to conduct themselves that way, then we have a problem. I haven't seen anyone else acting like this besides you. Posts like that are a blatant insult to the community, and usually, they result in much heavier penalties. But fine. Whatever.

Like I said before, moderation is fine—they probably turn a blind eye on other threads too. My point was more about your general vibe when you communicate—you tend to mock people, tell them to take it to private messages, or just straight up call them assholes.

The officiating is just totally inconsistent.
Some players get away with murder while others get booked for way less.
It’s a simple thing, but maybe a good example is how they handle winning tickets—they'll penalize images that are slightly larger than 640x480, yet they don't say a word about images that are even bigger than those ones.

I have to chime in here too. I used to check that thread regularly and contribute, but I ended up getting banned for something that everyone else was allowed to do—just a bit of lightheartedness. It's funny how irony is tolerated now, yet a simple joke isn't. So, I just walked away from the Betting Shop topic entirely. On top of that, I actually dealt with some insults from the moderator Eric Fox7 when I asked a perfectly normal question in the chat thread.

The moderators might be doing their jobs okay most of the time, but there's definitely a double standard happening somewhere, and they're the only ones who know why. Like shadowgardener10 mentioned, they really need to decide if they’re going to lead with common sense or just blindly enforce the rulebook.
The goal is 12 points, but reality is looking more like 0-1. Honestly, if we were sitting on 4 points right now, I’d be over the moon.

What would you expect if his handle was "The Janitor"? 🤷
darkmarlin16 said:Look, if he actually wants to step up and do things the right way, then fine, let him work, but honestly? He’s completely nuked his own credibility with this one

What kind of "credibility" are we even talking about here? The guy was in a rush and just put together a shorter thread, that's all there is to it. Just give the guy some breathing room to post a proper thread when he actually has the time and leave it at that.

If you're after more screen real estate, I’d personally suggest this 27" model: http://www.asus.com/Display/LCD_Moni...278Q/#overview

Great color accuracy, a snappy refresh rate, a ton of ports, built-in webcam, speakers—you can grab it at Best Buy for about $867.

The Dell UltraSharp is a fantastic monitor, but if you aren't doing professional graphic design, it might be a bit overkill.

I don't do any graphic design; I need this strictly for playing poker. I was thinking about hooking both monitors up to my laptop, or if that isn't an option, just connecting them both to my PC.

Thanks for the reply.

Alright, here’s the situation: I’m looking to pick up two identical monitors. I want the largest screen size possible, and honestly, budget isn't really my primary concern here. What matters most to me is finding something that is genuinely high quality and reliable.

I recently came across a suggestion for this particular model, so I was hoping you all could weigh in. Let me know what you think of it, or if you have any better recommendations in mind.

Dell UltraSharp

Just one quick detail to note—I need to be able to hook both of these displays up to my computer or laptop simultaneously.

Thanks.

Seriously? That’s really what you want to spend your time watching.🙄
Hats off to the Danes.
stormymaker38 said:If you guys are such great forecasters—since you swore we’d lose by ten points but we actually won by four—then I guess we’re all headed to London next, no worries! You were so certain back then, yet now you can't even say a word 😂! I get it, it’s hard to stomach seeing Mexico playing in three finals on the exact same day while you aren't even in the running. We were simply better at handball; you can just take comfort in that little "triple crown" you're celebrating! Just don't come crying to us when our posts start getting deleted!

Let me try to explain those three finals to you.

Handball—if you weren't the home team, they would have wiped the floor with you. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but without the officiating help, you'd be lucky to finish 5th or 6th.

Tennis—the Tennis Finals were won by your great American hero, Novak Djokovic. Now, pay attention to this part:he's the son of an American woman and a Mexican. 😁

Water Polo—and there, you showed your true colors by completely ignoring the match against Mexico. 😁

So yeah, sure, they are "finals" and there are medals involved. Go ahead and celebrate. That's just what happens when you need referees to hand you a medal, ignore matches, or cheer for a finalist who is both Mexican and an American. But hey, if that makes you happy, go for it.😁
boldgull20 said:They've got Spain, Poland, and Algeria in their group.
We aren't even going to see them play in London.

True, but what happens now? There's no help coming from the refs anymore. You can see it—the officials basically decide the finals ahead of time by just playing along with one side until they suddenly blow the whistle against them.😁
boldgull20 said:Mexico really showed everyone what they're made of at this EU championship 🙂
they aren't exactly begging for all those all-inclusive vacation packages in this new tourist hotspot
☕

And honestly? They probably won't see a podium again anytime soon—at least not until some other major tournament gets hosted over in Mexico. Of course, that’s unlikely to happen, because frankly, after how this went down, nobody with half a brain is going to let them host anything ever again.
