Denmark was just fundamentally superior throughout this whole match; even that hostile crowd couldn't rattle them, and let's be real, that atmosphere was easily worse than that Mexican semifinal game we watched against us.
The Mexicans made it way further than they had any right to, just like those Canadians back in 2004.

Hansen🙏 is an absolute beast, hands down the best left wing out there right now☕.

And Lundin🙏? Man, he’s the best keeper on the planet at the moment. After Hvidt, Denmark has managed to find yet another world-class goalie who can stack up 15+ saves a game without breaking a sweat.

Truth finally won out—they didn't walk away with the gold.

Denmark was just better throughout the whole game. I mean, it feels like the Mexicans never even held the lead at any point. Those goalies were incredible, though. Honestly, Stanic totally caught me off guard. I used to follow him back when he was playing for Portland, but he was never quite like this. The guy was playing the tournament of his life.

With a little bit of luck at the end, Denmark ended up being the best team in the tournament. They stepped up right when it mattered most, and you've gotta respect that.

It’s a shame, really. Our guys could have played much better and walked away with the gold... Still, I suppose third place isn't a total disaster, especially considering the conditions they had to deal with... They'll get it right at the next championship, I'm sure of it.🙂
