After what feels like an absolute eternity of researching, digging through medical journals, and overthinking everything, I think I’ve finally pulled the trigger on who’s going to perform my surgery—it’s going to be Dr. Davor Džepina!
Honestly though... the one thing giving me the actual jitters is the general anesthesia. I had it once before when I had my tonsils out about twelve years ago (I'm 24 now), and from what I've gathered, the more times you go under and the older you get, the harder it is on your body and your heart to bounce back. And let's be real, when dealing with the healthcare system here in the States, you just never know what kind of surprises you might run into -.-

Now, I realize nobody on this forum is actually qualified to give me a medical opinion, but please bear with me while I vent for a second and ask for some comfort—is it true that I don't really need to be terrified of going under general anesthesia again? Is it okay? 😢

It's not like he completely messed up, but besides removing the hump, he didn't really touch the width, the tip, or the nasal bones at all.

I’ve been following this thread for two and a half years now, and I’m starting to feel like Tony (the younger one) is really only a good option if you're looking for a one-and-done deal... sure, his price tag is the lowest around, but I’ve exchanged messages and emails with plenty of people from this forum who had their surgery done by him. Everyone says things looked great right at the start—they were all thrilled—but absolutely EVERY single one of them noticed, somewhere between 10 months and a year and a half later, that their nose was slowly starting to tilt to the side or they were developing these little divots along the bridge. One girl even had a side of her nose basically "collapse" halfway. I can't say for sure if Tony offered free touch-ups to fix it, but still...

To make a long story short, Tony was my top choice for a long time, too, but thank God I changed my mind once I realized that saving a bit of cash isn't worth the headache of massive revisions and extra surgeries down the road. 🙄

So, I’m back to square one without a surgeon, and I'm stuck wondering who to trust. Dr. Veir is looking better and better to me, assuming we can just confirm the guy actually knows how to handle noses and isn't just a breast specialist. 😁
@Donna Johnson16/">@@Donna Johnson16, I get what you're saying, but honestly—I’ve been lurking in these threads for ages and I have never once heard anyone mention these specific sinus pressures or headaches before
I mean, I’ve read plenty about various lumps, constant swelling, and all sorts of other issues, but this is the first time I’m hearing about people dealing with migraines that don't even kick in until eighteen months after the surgery

The thing is, most people who come here to share their stories—whether they’re venting or celebrating—usually do it right away, like a few days or weeks post-op. It’s pretty rare for someone to circle back after a year or two, or even three, just to give an update on how things are actually holding up... which is such a shame, really. I’m genuinely curious to know how all these "new noses" are actually doing in the long run and what kind of lingering side effects might pop up down the road

If you were taking a shot at me, I honestly have no clue what you were trying to get at. 😕
@rowdyfalcon35/">@@rowdyfalcon35, @restlesspanther42—wait, who exactly did you guys go to for your surgery? I’ve been lurking on this thread every single day for two years now, and this is the first time I’m actually hearing about these headaches. It’s pretty obvious it isn't just the two of you dealing with this—it seems to be popping up way more often than I thought :/ and honestly, talk about bad timing, because I was just about to pull the trigger on my own surgery 😢
Cure, how long did it actually take for Dr. Tony to get back to you after you sent over those photos? I’ve been sitting here waiting for three whole days now—honestly, I'm starting to get a little paranoid that he might just ghost me altogether. 😢
