Rhinoplasty: Experiences and recovery tips?
in Health ·
I figured I should share my own experience for anyone currently weighing the decision to get rhinoplasty. I had my procedure done at the Appalachian Mountains clinic, performed by Dr. Zoran Veir. It was a functional and aesthetic surgery. The operation took place on a Friday, and at my own request, I stayed in the hospital through Saturday and Sunday because I was experiencing some bleeding. It wasn't anything major, but I felt safer being under medical supervision. I didn't experience any pain. As for swelling, I wouldn't call it minimal, but it wasn't anything extreme either. My bruising was moderate. On Monday, they removed the packing in less than a second, and there was no pain involved. I need to wear the splint for ten days; today is day seven, and I'm feeling good. I’ve been taking Arnica montana (a homeopathic remedy) and applying Arnica tincture topically. I don't have much swelling left, though there is still a tiny bit of discoloration just under my eyes.
