By the way, I waited a full two years because I felt like the tissue hadn't fully healed yet. I'm not willing to take any risks unless my surgeon (Dr. Jurlin) gives me the green light...
neonhawk78 said:Thanks for the info. I already booked with Dr. Raguž, though I have to wait for the strike to end. It's been nearly two months since my surgery, but I don't think my nose shape will change much more. The mucosa is almost healed, but the bump is still there. I'm hoping the doctor is willing to operate on a nose that's already been worked on, because I honestly don't know who else in Miami could do it besides private practitioners. I could see Dr. Lisec, but I read he specializes more in functional work than aesthetics. On the other hand, there's Dr. Kurtović, whom I read about in relation to a case where he and a hospital physician nearly ruined a patient's nose, resulting in a partial refund... then there's Dr. Glušac from San Diego, whose results aren't universally praised either. That leaves me with Washington, D.C. and the doctors there. 😢
P.S. I had general anesthesia, though I'd prefer local next time.

The interval between two surgeries, especially when the second is a revision, should be one year. This allows for full healing, scar tissue maturation, and swelling reduction to ensure the tissue can handle additional surgical trauma without further complications...

I'm scheduled to see him at the end of October...

Can you tell me what the cost was? If you can't post it publicly, feel free to send a private message.
Thanks!

ps. Looking at other people's photos is pointless. Everyone has a unique nasal structure and physical limitations; you can only achieve what is physically possible rather than just installing a completely new nose... truly, every case is unique... highly specific...

Dr. Jurlina at the Mayo Clinic. He is an outstanding specialist; however, I have concerns regarding their approach. They favor cartilage or bone graft transplants from the skull or pelvis rather than utilizing implants, which seems like a more aggressive method...

I have a question. I was recommended Dr. Pegan at the hospital on Vinogradska for secondary rhinoplasty... please let me know if anyone knows anything about him...
Also, I’ll ask again: has anyone had surgery at the Gulić clinic? I'm hesitant to commit to anyone right now, since my gut instinct clearly led me astray last time...😢

Now I have a question of my own. Is it actually possible to get a secondary rhinoplasty covered by Medicare? They’ve tightened up the rules on almost every medical service lately, so most things aren't covered anymore, regardless of whether you have supplemental insurance...
How does one request a reconstruction? For me, this would be the third time... 🙂
analoghound6 said:Hey everyone, has really nobody else had surgery with Dr. Rozita Gulić??

Greetings.
I underwent surgery with this doctor myself, and I have absolutely nothing positive to say about her. The procedure wasn't even particularly complex, yet she turned it into such a mess through pure negligence that I had to undergo a corrective surgery afterward. Even that didn't go smoothly, as the other surgeon spent the entire time fixing her botched work instead of performing the actual procedure I requested—but he couldn't keep me under general anesthesia any longer...
A warm recommendation: stay away.
