That’s exactly what happened. The profile looks perfect, but everything else? It’s like God just didn't allow it; nothing changed. Once that bump hits the top of my nose, things are going to get even worse. The hump will look even more prominent. It's just one endless cycle of agony.🙂

It was with Dr. Ostojic. He operated on everything there was to fix on my nose.😬 Honestly, since I broke my nose on the right side, it grew crooked and developed that infamous bump. Plus, my airway clearance was basically zero on the left side and only 60% on the right. The breathing is better now, but aesthetically? It’s a mess. I didn't drop 2,000 bucks for mediocre results. 🙂 He didn't even deliver half of what he promised. A friend actually asked me once why the bump was still visible after the surgery. It's smaller, sure, but it's still there. From the profile, the nose looks great, but from the front or semi-profile, it's a disaster.
Hey everyone. It’s been two months since my surgery, and my nose is still looking completely crooked. I get that swelling lingers for a while, but seriously, what is up with this bump that shows up clearly in my left profile and semi-profile? My surgeon claims the bones are just starting to fuse and that things need time to settle, supposedly making the hump disappear. Yeah, right. Not to mention the right side is lower than the left; there’s this indentation, like something is missing. o.O Now I'm wondering, is there any chance I can go in for a revision, or am I going to have to pay out of pocket for a touch-up?😢
Here’s another question from my end. I took the mold off three days ago, and while my nose looks perfect from the profile and semi-profile views, the width is a total disaster. I look like a pig. Not to exaggerate, but it’s there.🙂I need to know if the tip is actually going to stay this wide or if it will eventually slim down. I realize it’s only been two weeks, but the panic is setting in regardless. It’s way too wide and just doesn't fit my face shape. My nose was actually narrower before the surgery.🙂Also, how long does it usually take for everything to settle so I can see the final result?

The physiological impact is plenty. There’s no need to struggle through a hypertonic solution in Rambo style.

Hahaha, I agree. I get enough pain just removing a tampon; this would be way too much. I'm weak, what can you do?😬
Thanks again for the recommendation.🙂
Alex Moore62 said:So what kind of care did he actually suggest? 😕 How else are you going to clear all that gunk out of your nose?!

Every time I ask, they just tell me to rinse aggressively multiple times a day using an enhanced saline solution (basically adding two tablespoons of salt and two tablespoons of baking soda to half a liter of saline). It’s like rubbing salt in a wound—it’s brutal—but it ensures nothing takes root in there. Using a Neti pot is the easiest way to do it.

The doctor didn't recommend anything at all. He told me to leave it alone and let it settle down on its own. Clearly, I didn't listen. Based on your advice, I bought a 500ml bottle of saline this morning and I've already gone through half of it. :'D I have to admit, this stuff really works. Almost everything has crusted over, and I see chunks coming out after every rinse. My breathing has improved too; I can finally breathe clearly through both nostrils now.😁
thanks for the reply, it helped a lot.🙏
Hey everyone
Quick question about breathing after having the packing removed. It’s been four days since they took them out, and I still can't breathe through either nostril. The left side—which was the main issue before surgery—is working perfectly, but the right side is completely blocked. Is this just due to thick mucus and blood clots, or am is this my new normal? I’ve been reading posts where people say they could breathe perfectly right after the packing came out, and honestly, it's making me spiral a bit. It’s day four and I haven't seen any progress. I’d love to rinse my nose with saline, but my doctor told me not to touch it yet.
Also, does the width of the nose narrow down over time? The length and the profile look great so far, but the width makes me feel like I have an oversized nose. Right now, it actually looks wider than it did before the surgery. I know it's just swelling, but I'm terrified it'll stay this wide once the inflammation goes down. A little reassurance wouldn't hurt. XD
