The tooth pain finally let up, thank God, but man, for like two and a half weeks straight, I felt like I was walking around with a massive metal brace glued to my face. It was absolutely brutal 😵
As for breathing, I’m at three and a half weeks post-op now and things are definitely looking up. Honestly, it feels kind of weird because I'm just not used to being able to pull in so much air through my nose 😁 I just need to give my nasal lining some time to fully heal from everything, then I'll be back to feeling like a brand new person 😁
Elizabeth Ruiz5 said:Thanks for the info! So now I'm wondering... does anyone have a great doctor they can actually recommend? Right now I'm torn between Dr. Ožegović over at Dubrava Hospital and Dr. Raguž at Holy Spirit. Has anyone here actually dealt with them? I've heard nothing but amazing things about Dr. Jurlin, but apparently his waiting lists are absolutely brutal.

Honestly, Dr. Jurlin is totally worth the wait! Highly, highly recommend him! 😉
Hey everyone! 🙂

For those of you who have gone through septorhinoplasty, did your teeth feel super sensitive afterward? Like, how bad was it and just how long did that last?
Betty Edwards22 said:Rhinosinusitis—especially the chronic kind—doesn't always start because of some injury, but let's be real, having weird anatomy definitely makes everything way more complicated.
You really have to separate the different issues here and tackle them one by one. Usually, you start with conservative stuff first, and if that doesn't cut it, then you look at surgery. But like you noticed, that decision mostly depends on your overall health and how you respond to treatment for that chronic sinus and nasal lining situation.

Thanks so much for the reply!

Hey Betty Edwards22, hope you don't mind me jumping in with a quick question or two for you! 🙂

I'm dealing with symptoms pretty similar to what Chloe Gray5 described—we even play the same sport! 😁
Breathing gets super rough whenever I'm out running, and even just walking fast really hits me. Now, unlike Chloe Gray5, my septum is relatively centered, but I've got these ridges on both sides, plus a history of breaking my nose a few years back. It feels like ever since that break, I've been getting hit with sinus infections way more often. I was wondering, can I actually link these constant sinus issues back to that old nasal fracture? And if I go through with the SP, should I expect those sinus problems to chill out? Just asking generally, obviously—I know you can't give me a definitive answer without getting a good look inside my lovely nasal passages. 😁
Hey everyone 🙂

I was wondering if anyone here has gone through nose surgery but still deals with chronic rhinitis? Like, did things actually get worse after the procedure? I'm really curious if the rhinitis issues persist or even flare up more once you've had the operation

Also, quick question for anyone who’s had rib surgery recently—I’m looking at my paperwork and I'm totally lost. My ORL report says septorhinoplasty, but then the hospital order says submucosal septal reconstruction? Why the discrepancy?

Come on, help a person out! 😁
