Can you get nose surgery while wearing braces? I read somewhere that you shouldn't because your face shape won't actually settle until after the braces come off.. :O

Once that was cleared, I headed to my room and threw on one of those hospital gowns—not exactly high fashion. Glumcic took some photos of me, then we hammered out the final details on what kind of nasal implant I wanted. After that, they rolled me into the OR and hooked me up to an IV. The anesthesiologist tells me, "Alright, you're gonna drift off now. Just count down from ten." Pretty sure I hit seven and I was out cold. 🙂
Woke up feeling totally out of it. Vision was all blurry, so I just crashed again for a couple of hours. Once I finally felt human again, I chatted with everyone about how the surgery went, then headed home around 3 PM.
Megan Sanchez27, honestly, I don't even know what he was trying to pull. I didn't even want to find out. 😬 I had a decent bump on my nose that they leveled out, slimmed the nostrils a bit, and shaved down the septum. That was basically it.
Can't even say there was any actual pain after the surgery. Honestly, none. It’s just that pressure from the tampon that feels super uncomfortable, but it doesn't exactly hurt. Three days of dealing with that? I can handle it.
All I can say is, I pulled the mold off yesterday and I’m stoked. If it stays looking like this, I'm golden. 🙂

The worst part is just that heavy pressure in your nose and having to breathe through your mouth, but it’s totally manageable. Even getting the packing out was fine—takes a few seconds and you're done. I lowkey expected it to be way worse.
Getting my splint off today. Super stoked and can't wait to see the new look 🙂

Maria Castillo23 said:I had my nose broken before. Had surgery three months ago. At first, it still looked crooked to me. My doctor and I even talked about doing another procedure... but then it straightened itself out over time and I'm actually really happy with how it looks now.
Also, regarding getting the stitches pulled—they already took mine out. Just 3 of them.
