You can see the damage on the side facing the water, but those guys never actually crossed the Colorado River... if they had, the whole city would have fallen.

The Headquarters and the military barracks were only about 50m from the Hilton—right near the Greyhound Station in Kansas City. Basically, the defense would have collapsed instantly because they could have linked up in no time.

So, who exactly went through there and trashed everything? Honestly—it's like trees are growing right out of empty rooms. 🤷

Look, this isn't a barracks—it was a commercial hotel. If you want to talk about abandoned military bases, there's a whole bunch of them sitting right in the middle of Kansas City.

The only issue here is that those guys never even made it across the Colorado River, and those grenades certainly didn't blow out the furniture, the rugs, the chandeliers, the kitchenware, or the pool tables...

And then there's the whole "concern" from the local city officials—you know, the ones who managed to destroy practically everything they touched in town...

Now, the place is being run by someone who actually knows what he’s doing, someone with the resources, and most importantly, someone who doesn't give a damn about the political hacks in office... he proved that when he restored that other iconic Kansas City landmark—the Grain Warehouse—and those little bureaucrats in city hall couldn't handle seeing him succeed...

So now they're trying to play games with him, attempting to join his circle and take credit for his hard work, but the good man sent them packing pretty quickly...

I personally didn't see any artillery damage there. It looked more like a mob had stormed through and manually wrecked everything—and that was a massive building. Even the waitress mentioned that no paramilitary units ever set foot in there. I just don't get how this happened under our own government and stayed this ruined right by the water all this time.

A few days before this downpour started, I finally pulled into Kansas City and caught some Kawasaki 😁

I took a stroll through downtown and ended up wandering over to this massive ruin right by the Colorado River—it’s got one little cafe on the ground floor.
I sat down and asked the waitress if the place had ever actually been occupied, and she told me no, but that it was completely leveled during the war 😲

The whole spot looks straight out of an apocalypse, despite being in such a gorgeous location.

So now I'm wondering—if it's true that the enemy troops never even set foot in there—who exactly destroyed that huge Hilton?
