Doing business with USA member states in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Does anyone here actually know how the billing process works for this kind of thing?

For example, I run a business here in the States (Company A), and I strike a deal with a firm based in Germany (Company B) to handle some installation work over there.

In that scenario, am I supposed to invoice them with sales tax included or leave it off?

I know for a fact that in Germany, Company A wouldn't charge sales tax to Company B, since Company B is selling the product to the end consumer who pays the tax, which they then remit to the government.

Is there a sportsbook out there offering odds on Mancini getting fired?

I'm guessing the payout would be pretty damn low. 😍

perk or a bonus. I actually managed to score a $67 gas card once, haha 🙂

I read somewhere that after joining the USA, we'd be able to register cars anywhere in the USA,
is it actually cheaper to register a car abroad?

thanks

Either you misread it, or whoever wrote it did a pretty poor job. That’s just not how it works.

I have no idea why DraftKings set the odds at 3.0 for a Paris Saint-Germain win against FC Porto. I took the gamble on $33 because I'm convinced PSG pulls this off.

Back when I was younger, people used to tell me I played soccer just like Maradona—the guy they called little green who wore number 10.

Yeah, it actually works in quick replies.

Thanks for the heads-up. I hadn't noticed since I usually only care about this when I'm quoting someone to make a point.

It’s pretty obvious now—I used to be able to click that big "A" icon to pull up the color palette, but now it just sits there doing nothing, which is why I started this thread.

I see you guys have been tinkering with the site and adding all these supposedly "useful" features.

You probably think you're making things easier, but you're actually just bloating the server, which explains why we keep getting those 503 and 504 errors.

As for the user experience, you haven't made it simpler; you've just managed to break what was already working.

It looks like everyone else is using all sorts of colors here. 🙄

I’m stuck with plain black. 😕 😕

Why does that happen?? 🤷 🤷

Can anyone tell me why??

I’ve messed with all the settings, but nothing works—it's just black and that's it. 🙂 🙂
Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
boldfox19 said:Hey there.

How's everyone liking Windows 7 so far? Just speaking generally—is it actually an upgrade over Windows XP? I’m stuck using Vista right now and I’m not feeling it at all, so I’m looking to switch to something else.
Thanks for the help. 🙂

I’d definitely suggest going with Windows 7. You're probably just used to Vista, but Windows 7 is basically just a polished version of it. You'll like it much more, and it's certainly a better move than going back to XP.

And why not just drop a link to the existing thread before closing a new one if it’s already there?

Maybe their servers are just overloaded, so they're trying to offload the pressure that way?

Does anyone actually follow the rules around here?

I’d prefer not to be mistaken for that person.

Take a look at this screenshot. Any idea why this ad field expanded on my side?

It was the same way on other threads before, then it just fixed itself—just as randomly as it broke, since I haven't touched any of my settings.

Timothy Morgan38 said:Look, you have to try being a moderator for at least five days before you realize what an impossible mission this actually is...

Because you can't treat everyone the same. You can't handle someone with 5,000 posts who has been here for years acting out and causing trouble the exact same way you handle some new guy with two posts who's already making a mess...

It's just like real life... in any workplace, there's a lot more leeway given to the veterans than to the fresh hires... and that's just how it goes. Reputation is earned through seniority...

I used to be a mod on a different forum, but the principle remains the same: equal rules for all members. No exceptions. Whether you’re a newcomer with two posts or a super VIP with massive contributions, everyone can screw up. You give them a fair warning to watch themselves, and if they don't, then the sanctions follow. It’s like what happened on that Honda forum with one specific member—he was given a polite warning, then a formal warning, but since he wouldn't settle down, he eventually got the boot.

Simple as that.

Obviously, we’re all human, and there needs to be some level of tolerance. Everyone has bad days or feels off sometimes. But it can't happen every other day; that isn't normal, and something has to change.

Personally, I have nothing against Mr. Stinger or any other moderator, but I certainly have an issue with their poor judgment. Like the time I got caught in a clash with some of their "friends"—even though I provided accurate info, I got flagged for "trolling." Or that other time I got banned just for responding to systemic provocations and insults from a member who hadn't even received a warning.

I'm not bringing this up to justify my own actions—I was punished for a reason—but rather to illustrate poor moderation. This poll was started precisely because of these kinds of situations.

I’d say Michael Lee4 is about 80% an incredibly good moderator, but he falls into that other 20%—the kind that carries enough weight to tip the scales against the majority.

Michael Lee4, if you don't plan on drastically cutting down that 20%, you might as well just resign. The issue lies with you and how you treat people; you aren't treating everyone the same, and a moderator is supposed to be NEUTRAL AND FAIR.

Of course, some level of tolerance is necessary since we're all just human beings here.
