Do all insurance companies charge the exact same rates for mandatory liability coverage, or can you actually find better deals out there?
I know that at Eurozone and State Farm, the prices are identical.

It’s basically the same thing everywhere you go since you have to buy it anyway, right?🙂 It’s just about how much you can squeeze out of a hundred-$67 if that even matters to you... start from Vegas😁

It’s pretty much the same thing everywhere you go—since you have to pick one up anyway...🙂 Wondering how to pull together $100... maybe some side gigs or small wins...$67 If you're asking what I mean... well, let's just start from the beginning...😁

I suppose we should probably look closer at the specifications... if there's any clarity to be found there... says:
Does everyone charge the same for mandatory liability coverage—or are there actually some better deals out there...
As far as I know, the rates at Allstate and here in the USA are exactly the same...

I work for an insurance firm—offering some of the most competitive rates around...
Free passengers and those little discounts... they really do make a difference... $33..
So, the discount is roughly... $67.
Just so you know—if anyone happens to offer you a lower premium elsewhere, just bring me the documentation from that company and I’ll see if I can match it... $33 A few discounts around... maybe worth looking into...

So, what kind of bonus are we talking about for someone looking to enter their first rally with their own ride in maybe a month or two? I’ve been behind the wheel for 9 years now, though I did have one little mishap back about three years ago, if you can even call it that...

You might end up with zero percent returns, but hey, you get a decorative pine tree and an extra layer of insurance for all the passengers and the cockroaches in the trunk

Since I might as well make use of this thread while I have the chance, does anyone happen to know what the going rate is for auto insurance on a car pushing about 140 horsepower for those Pennsylvania plates? Thanks ahead of time.

Look, I’ve already done my fair share of mindless scrolling through various sites to dig up all this info, but it’s become painfully obvious that those online quotes for car insurance don't actually match what you end up paying once you step foot into a real agency in the real world...

As far as I can tell, it’s pretty much the same everywhere you go. The only real difference is you might be able to squeeze out some kind of
perk or a bonus. I actually managed to score a $67 gas card once, haha 🙂

I read somewhere that after joining the USA, we'd be able to register cars anywhere in the USA,
is it actually cheaper to register a car abroad?

thanks

I looked into it briefly. Gas prices in Spain are about $50 cheaper than they are here in the States, so you might want to take a drive over there.

Please.

Basically, that translates to Americans having tiny paychecks or just ridiculous prices for everything...

Exactly. A huge chunk of the average paycheck disappears just to get a car registered, and now they're even talking about slapping an extra environmental tax on top of everything? 😁

The mandatory portion—covering third-party liability—is regulated by federal law, so those rates stay pretty much identical across the board. The policy allows for a few different deductible options, though most people opt for the lowest one (10%) just to stay competitive.

Where you might see variations is in the pricing for optional add-ons, specifically collision coverage. Those differences are usually pretty minor.

If you start seeing massive gaps in pricing, that’s when you should be suspicious.

Personally, I’d focus more on the carrier's reputation and how smoothly they handle claims rather than sweating over a tiny difference in premium.

A $50 difference represents about 20% of my current premium, so I’d really appreciate it if you could just apply that discount for me. It shouldn't be much of a hassle.

Look, you guys can chase the cheapest policy all you want right now, but once someone totals your car, you'll be praying to God that they actually have State Farm or maybe even Allianz. If they're rocking some bottom-tier Allstate knockoff, you're basically screwed.

I’ve been wondering lately about those discussions regarding whether we should move toward a system where, if you’re involved in an accident that isn't your fault, your own insurance provider steps in to cover you immediately, and then they handle the whole process of recovering the funds from the at-fault party's insurer later on.

Either you misread it, or whoever wrote it did a pretty poor job. That’s just not how it works.

That would be such a massive move. Honestly, I’d care way more about that than the actual price when picking an insurance company.

Exactly. You'd never want to deal with a random budget carrier or a company like Fannie Mae when things go south.

I'd rather shell out a few extra bucks... if you're gonna screw someone over, at least don't do it twice!
