So, here’s a little something new from the far side of town, we’ll be getting back to the heavy lifting and sketching out some more designs pretty soon, but until then, check this out...

Hey, maybe I’m a little late to the party here, but if anyone’s still hanging out or if any of you guys are planning on being up early tomorrow morning, you should definitely check this out

Honestly, this might be one of the best ones yet... it's probably not going to happen again anytime soon. Man, if we had a setup like this last season during that massive derby at the packed stadium... the pyrotechnics would have been absolutely insane. 😢

Everything's gonna be lit in 8 days if God wills it 👍 because I'm reading on the local news right now that if the weather stays nice, Balboa is expecting a crowd of maybe 20 to 25 thousand people for tomorrow's game, and if you ask me, 😁 everyone should just get up from their coffee and head down there 🤣

There isn't much to debate here because MERTOJAK has been active since '94, which is two years before New York City started patching things up, especially since MERTOJAK carried such a huge transfer load until they finally hit the scene around 2005.
Honestly, there's really no point in guessing when you aren't 100% sure about something, which is exactly why I wrote that if anyone older might have a better handle on the facts, they should just weigh in, and that's pretty much all there is to it...

I'd say it's been maybe 10 or 15 years since she was around back in February, but I'm not totally certain, so maybe some older folks here know the exact timeline better.🤷

The matches involving Unirea Bucharest against Anderlecht—those are three games I’ll honestly never be able to shake from my mind, especially that Anderlecht goal right at the 95th minute, man, the stadium just went absolutely ballistic, and then the entire crowd was just drinking and singing together in one massive voice, it was pure madness, seriously something I'll never forget 😁 😍

these photos look awesome, almost like some kind of historical documentary from back in the day. but honestly, trying to glorify that specific era and how the group used to be just to make the current scene look bad is pretty pointless if you ask me.

there are just way too many variables that have shifted over the years. the plain truth is that the old-school crew didn't really have the vision to pull off the massive choreographies we see now, they weren't chanting for the full ninety minutes, and they definitely didn't elevate the atmosphere at big rivalry games to the level it’s at today (man, you should have seen how loud things used to get). plus, they weren't traveling to major European away games like people did when we went to Brussels, and they weren't losing nearly as many banners as we do nowadays. you can't just take some messy photos from a few old matches and act like everything was perfect. the real question is whether all those guys who were causing chaos and storming the pitch would even dare to do that today, given how strict the laws are now and knowing exactly what kind of trouble you're looking at if you step on the field.

at the same time, things aren't exactly perfect right now either; the whole demographic of the stands has changed (and that's happening everywhere, not just here), so the group has its own set of pros and cons. we always need to be working on leveling up and adapting to new circumstances and different rules. other smaller groups have grown stronger too... there's a lot to consider, but the focus should be on how the group moves forward and contributes something positive, rather than just grabbing old pics of the squad in places like San Diego and saying, "man, those guys were real rebels compared to the softies we have today." because truthfully, there are plenty of guys in the Rangers Supporters Club today who would absolutely run circles around anyone from that era, regardless of how wild or crazy they were individually.

every single word of this hits the nail on the head for me, I couldn't agree more. 👍👍

New fan laws: What do we think? in Fans ·
Walter Jones8 said:Look, the law is what it is right now, and there's honestly no point trying to change it.
Just a little tip regarding the advice here—if you can't cough up the whole fine in one go, just ask the judge if they can set up a payment plan, because they're usually pretty cool about it. (Like, say you owe 2 $0.00 in fines by a certain date, just ask the officials to break that down into monthly installments of $167 over 4 months.) Obviously, during an appeal, it totally makes sense to bring up things like being in a tough spot financially or having to support a single parent.

They actually let me do a payment plan once because I told them my situation at home was rough since I wasn't working back then; I hadn't even finished high school yet, and they even dropped my fine from $333 down to 700, which I could pay off in small chunks every month $33 but I ended up totally blowing it... that was like two years ago, and then last year I got some kind of warning saying I hadn't paid, and now this year they're basically saying we'll see what happens 😁

ruggedcanyon2 said:We started getting hit with bans way back during our first major league season, long before that fan law was even a thing. To give you the rundown, two flares were set off at one game, and they ended up wrongly targeting four different people. Two of them were actually detained just because they happened to be wearing scarves over their faces while the flares were going off, even though they weren't the ones lighting them.

Honestly, why are we even surprised? All the authorities care about is the raw numbers—how many people got detained or how many bans were handed out—it’s all just statistics to them. They don't give a damn whether you actually lit a flare or not, so you can try to sue whoever you want, but it feels like you're just shouting into the wind. At the end of the day, there isn't much else we can do besides keep fighting the good fight.☕

wanderinghawk17 said:Honestly, after all the absolute chaos we’ve seen lately—first up in San Francisco, then down in Lubbock, and now over in Boston—I’m feeling like this new Sports Fan Act is way too soft. I mean, what kind of ref actually calls a match off after just three warnings? Basically, you could light off flares, chuck everything onto the pitch, accidentally nail a linesman in the head, and then go ahead and do the whole thing again in the second half and you’d probably walk away totally fine.

You can call it a strict law if you want, but real strictness would be stopping the game the second a single flare hits the grass and locking up whoever threw it for attempted assault. But nah, nothing’s ever gonna change.

Where are you even coming from, man? Seriously, did you land here from Mars or something? If you aren't feeling the flares and you don't vibe with how fans act, buddy, maybe just go watch some third or fourth division ball somewhere else where things are quiet.🙂

Look, if some guy decides to storm the field with the sole intention of starting a riot, or even just steps onto the turf and triggers a massive brawl by being there, that’s on him.
Some guy actually went and physically attacked people at the sports festival, or he tried to force his way into the arena, or maybe even chucked stuff onto the field—it’s honestly wild.
You know, there’s always that one guy who thinks he’s being funny by trying to sneak pyrotechnics, flares, or some other kind of explosive or flammable junk into the stands right in front of the fans. It's honestly wild how people try to bring that kind of dangerous stuff around an audience, thinking they can just toss around things that are clearly harmful or hazardous.
So, let's talk about those nasty substances that can actually cause physical injuries or seriously mess with the health of everyone showing up to a sporting event, because honestly, it's something we really need to keep on our radar if we want to keep things safe.
If someone decides to get handsy and start a physical brawl during a sporting event, they’re looking at a jail sentence ranging from three months up to...
Just one year.
Anyone who pulls off a criminal act as part of a group under paragraph (1) of this section is looking at a prison sentence ranging from six months up to...
It’s been three whole years already.
If you’re the one pulling the strings as the conductor behind any group committing the crimes mentioned in paragraph one of this section, you're looking at serious jail time, starting from one year.
It’s been five whole years now.
So, when we’re looking at how the legal system handles sentencing for a minor who pulls off one of those specific offenses mentioned in paragraph one, it basically follows this whole set procedure to figure out the right way to move forward. It’s all about that structured process for deciding on the consequences when a juvenile is involved in those particular types of crimes, making sure everything stays by the book according to our standards here in the States.
You know, when you really dive into the legal weeds, it’s pretty clear that the provisions laid out in paragraph three of this specific section are going to be applied exactly how they should be under the criminal code. It’s all pretty straightforward once you look at how the statutes are structured, and honestly, there shouldn't be any confusion about how those regulations carry over into the actual criminal proceedings. Everything lines up perfectly with the standard legal framework we follow here in the States.
So, here’s the lowdown on how things actually work over in the United States.

Article 4.
Violence and inappropriate behavior.
When we're talking about violence at sporting events under the scope of this Law, here's what really counts as a major violation:
So, we're looking at physical assaults on people attending sporting events;
b) the physical showdown between the competitors at the sporting event;
Throwing stuff onto the field or into the stands that could actually put someone’s life at risk—like, physically endangering people—is just totally out of line.
It really boils down to one simple question, doesn't it: are you going to stand by your principles or just chase the bag? At the end of the day, I’ve always felt that your integrity is the only thing you truly own, while money is just something that flows in and out. You can lose every cent in a bad market crash, but if you still have your reputation and your word, you haven't actually lost anything important. Honestly, chasing wealth at the expense of who you are is a losing game in my book, because once that respect is gone, there isn't enough cash in all of America to buy it back.
d) displaying symbols, holding up signs, or shouting slogans that basically just serve to incite racial or religious hatred...
Whether we're talking about outright racial bias or just some other kind of deep-seated intolerance and pure hatred, it all boils down to whether the actual content is offensive or just plain disrespectful, right?
What kind of chaos can actually trigger full-blown physical fights between fans or other folks on the scene that end up putting someone's life on the line?
When we're talking about the whole deal with personal integrity, we’re really looking at the heavy stuff—like when someone goes and damages or straight-up trashes your property.
e) damaging any sports facility, equipment, gear, or any of the technical installations located within a sports complex where...
So, they’re putting together this big sports festival, which honestly sounds like it's going to be a blast.
The Federal Register from the District of Columbia back on March 12, 2007.
f) causing a total ruckus when people are heading into or out of a sports arena or stadium.
If you’re messing with the venue or trying to derail the flow of a sporting event, or if you're straight-up putting the safety of the athletes at risk, you're looking at some serious trouble.
It’s either all about those scripted performances or just some third-party nonsense playing out in front of us.
When we’re talking about what actually counts as "unsportsmanlike conduct" under this specific Law, you've gotta look at how they define it. Basically, if you're acting out or being a nuisance at any sporting event, the legal framework treats that behavior as a direct violation of the rules set out here. It's pretty straightforward—if you're causing trouble in the stands or on the field, you're officially falling into that category of misconduct.
naročito:
So, you've got someone just wandering onto the field without any permission; basically, we're talking about trespassing on the playing surface.
So, we’re looking at the whole situation regarding unauthorized entry into official offices and those restricted service areas within the sports complex where...
So, they're putting on some kind of big sports festival!
Just a heads-up for everyone heading to the stadium: bringing any booze or other recreational substances into the arena is a total no-go, so definitely leave that stuff at home if you want to keep things chill.
d) bringing pyrotechnics, fireworks, or any other prohibited items into the stadium or using them during the event.
The kind of stuff that can actually put people at risk during a big game or mess up the whole flow of the event is something we really need to stay on top of.
I'm just hanging out, keeping things moving along smoothly!
So, just a heads-up on the rules for when you're heading to the stadium: getting into those sections specifically set aside for the Black Knights is strictly off-limits if you don't have the right credentials, so definitely make sure you're in the right spot so things stay chill.

Honestly, they’ve got laws over there that look just as messy, if not way worse, than what we deal with here, but nobody actually bothers to enforce them anyway. I mean, let's be real—it's just the way things work in the United States.

bluebear42 said:Just a quick amateur question here, but could we actually try to gather signatures for a referendum so we can decide once and for all if we want this Sports Fan Act in America or not?

The official definition basically boils down to this: a referendum is when you take a proposed new constitution, constitutional amendments, some specific law or a major political decision (whether it's at the federal, state, or local level) and put it to a public vote where citizens decide with a simple "yes" or "no."

That’s what would give us the legal right to have our say on this legislation if we could somehow pull off getting a referendum on the ballot.

I honestly don't see how that would change a thing because those guys wouldn't give a damn about even one percent of the population, so why bother? You could send a petition straight to some cabinet minister and they'd just blow you off, so you really think they won't just ignore a whole referendum? Forget it, man, let's just keep fighting against those mafia types, the cronies, and all that other nonsense instead!!

Lately, Dalmatian News has been dropping some seriously solid pieces, and this one is definitely up there with the best, but man, it really bugs me when people start whispering that the team didn't show up with their absolute strongest lineup. You always get those folks from Chicago trying to distance themselves from the results or making excuses, but the proof that they’re just spinning yarns is pretty obvious—you don't just swap out a head coach like that unless things are actually shifting. At the end of the day, just keep pushing forward, guys, and please, don't let all the money and big-name transfers distract you from the actual soul of the game, just enjoy what you're doing and live it up!!

Honestly, I’ve had my fill of this guy because while he used to drop some really solid takes every now and then, lately he’s just been posting absolute nonsense!! Sure, maybe he missed the mark on a few things since the river changed course, but if you ask me, he’s actually done plenty of good work since he joined the scene!! It feels like nothing we do is ever good enough for people, and even if we went on and won the championship again, someone would still find something to complain about 🙂 🙂 🙂
