But now that things are getting tight on all sides, they're digging through old contracts to see who they can squeeze, looking for anyone who doesn't have a signed agreement stating they've already been paid. If Liverpool hadn't sent over that sponsor's paperwork, they certainly wouldn't have seen that $1.5 million. So, one way or another, San Diego is covered for that amount.
