There's going to be a brawl. You guys show up in blue shirts, we'll wear white—makes it easier to tell who's who. 😁
OKC needs to play for the win here—cut those 1.9 guys from the equation. If they pull it off, they’ll face Denver in the first round, provided Dallas manages to take down the Hawks... If they slip up, they’re heading straight into Dallas, which I don't think is exactly how they planned this to go.
I don't know, Kobe shouldn't even be out there... Whatever, I'll put my money down and see what happens. It's actually perfect for Denver since Durant is playing like he's on autopilot anyway. Let him log 35 minutes, knock down two or three triples, hit 7 or 8 free throws, and toss in 8 or 9 layups—boom, there's your 30. 🙂
The Durant situation is what keeps me up at night. From what I can gather, he’s sitting right on the edge of clinching the scoring title—he probably only needs about 21 points to lock it down. My fear? Once he hits that magic number, management decides he’s done and slides him straight to the bench.
Today's picks:
Minnesota Timberwolves vs Memphis Grizzlies - Double Chance (X2): It’s pretty obvious here. Memphis is fighting for better positioning heading into the playoffs, while Minnesota is missing Kevin Love, Rubia, and Luke Ridnour. A straight away win for Memphis is possible, but I’ll take the draw option just to be safe. 🙂
Peja Stojaković (15.5) - Under: Memphis sits among the elite defensive teams in the league, especially in the paint. With Pau Gasol and Zach Randolph patrolling the rim, opposing centers constantly find themselves stuck in the under. 🙂
Paul Pierce (19.5) - Over: He’s been trending under lately, but the New York Knicks are his favorite target and he always puts up numbers against them. He averaged 32 points over two matchups with them this season. Plus, he's guarded by Melo, who isn't exactly a defensive powerhouse. I expect him to drop about 7-8 points on twos, 1-2 triples, and 3-5 free throws. 🙂
Danny Granger vs Al Jefferson - 2: Granger will be shadowed by the league's top defender, Andre Iguodala—a matchup nobody wants. Meanwhile, Al Jefferson faces a Detroit Pistons squad that has been playing without Kyrie Irving for a while now; they're averaging 21.3 points per game this season. I anticipate Al grabbing about 15 boards, hitting roughly 5 free throws, and finishing with around 20 points, while Granger should settle right around 15. 🙂
There is absolutely no point in trying to reason with that crowd. They already proved their hand when they started asking, "why is everyone being so quiet?"
The NBA drives me crazy. When you bet against someone, they couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. But the second you bet against them, suddenly they’re hitting everything they throw... :/
Someone please tell Granger and Stoudemire to start actually putting the ball in the hoop!
Is there any shot we see Danny Granger under 18.5 and Stoudemire under 17.5? After the first quarter, Granger was sitting at a measly 2 points while being guarded by Andre Iguodala, then he jumped to 10 in the second once Iguodala sat down :/ Amar'e is currently stuck at 6..
What are the odds of this hitting? 🙂
Chicago Bulls / Washington Wizards Over 97.5
San Antonio Spurs / Houston Rockets Under 95.5
New York Knicks (-4.5) / Philadelphia 76ers - Pick 1
Boston Celtics / Dallas Mavericks - Double Chance 1X
Toronto Raptors / Sacramento Kings Over 189.5
Denver Nuggets / New Jersey Nets Over 194.5
Utah Jazz / Los Angeles Lakers - Pick 2
How about this? 🙂
Miami Heat (97.5) - over
Antawn Jamison (18.5) - under
Kevin Garnett (14.5) - over
Amar'e Stoudemire (22.5) - over
Monta Ellis (22.5) - over
Toronto Raptors - Indiana Pacers vs Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta Hawks - Washington Wizards vs New Orleans Hornets
New Orleans Hornets - Boston Celtics
