Having trouble uploading images? in IT Support ·
Unfortunately, there's just not enough data here to make any kind of solid diagnosis.
I can only throw out a few guesses—just shots in the dark, really;

Is your internet behaving normally otherwise? Like, no connection drops, all your other sites load fine, online gaming works okay, stuff like that?
And have you run a virus scan on your PC yet?
How to convert numbers to any base? in IT Support ·
There are these online tools like

http://www.periodni.com/number_systems_converter.html
As far as I know, there isn't really one universal formula for conversion.
Following some basic logic—I guess—you could convert any base X into decimal (base 10) first, then move from there into base Y. I know direct conversions exist, but the explanations for them seem to depend entirely on which specific bases you're switching between.

This method seems to be the most universal approach, maybe.

What’s the file size for a single image? I know some protocols have limits on how big they can be.
edit: also, could you grab a screenshot of the error? That -200 code doesn't really make sense to me.

Send over a link to a photo of the case, or just snap one yourself.

Since you were moving, there's a chance things got shaken up inside the case—maybe enough to mess with a connection on the motherboard. If the advice from the kid doesn't work out and you feel up to it, I guess you could try opening the case and reseating the GPU and RAM.
How to connect my laptop to my TV in IT Support ·
You basically answered your own question—you’re going to need a VGA to HDMI adapter with a stereo jack if you actually want sound coming out of your TV.

You can, though you don't necessarily have to listen to the audio that way. There are adapters out there that pass the sound through, and then there are ones that don't—it really depends on the specific model. But they always carry the signal through the 3.5mm jack. If you want, you could just hook up the 3.5mm connection directly to the line instead of using an adapter.

Connect your laptop directly to the line without having to route everything through the TV.
You can grab a VGA to HDMI converter for this.
Hard drive died in IT Support ·
No matter how you look at it, you’re going to need a repair shop to get any actual results. First, you have to figure out if it's even a hardware issue—it might just be some software glitch.

If those files actually matter to you, I wouldn't let just anyone poke around inside the drive. They'll probably just end up saying, "Sorry, my bad," and then you're left with zero data.
VLC Player keeps stuttering in IT Support ·
gentlemarlin102 said:mostly, I use Firefox (tried Explorer and Opera too), and I want to watch TV online at http://www.rtvuzivo.com/rtl-chicago/ where an FLV player is required, and it just keeps freezing up on me....
when I installed and tried Opera, it gave me a message saying "this site uses a plug-in that will soon be unsupported."

For antivirus, I have Avast..

Does anyone have a smart solution?

Thanks—feel free to move this thread to where it belongs

I have to admit, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "freezing up."
I just tried that stream myself and it seems to be working fine.
What kind of internet connection are you using, and what are your general PC specs (processor, RAM, graphics card)?

SATA II vs. PCIe for SSDs? in Desktops ·
Ronald Garcia37 said:Supposedly, the card features SATA3 and USB 3.0.
But then again, PCIe 1.0 x is pretty slow compared to SATA3—so I guess that doesn't really matter much. I've attached some screenshots of the test results below, so I'm wondering which one actually performs better.🍿

If you're certain you're working with PCIe 1.0—the first generation of the interface—then yeah, it's going to be slower than SATA3. You won't be able to hit those full SATA3 speeds, I guess.
The evolution of PCIe standards—it’s a lot to digest if you really dive into the history. Looking through the specs, you can see how much everything has shifted from those early versions to what we use today. It’s kind of wild how quickly the bandwidth requirements scaled up. I guess it makes sense, though—with everything moving toward higher resolutions and faster data transfers, the old lanes just couldn't keep up. Just a lot of technical milestones to keep track of, really.

You didn't mention which SATA version is on the card? Is it 1, 2, or 3?
The newer standard—it offers higher bandwidth.

Audio issues in IT Support ·
Check your audio settings—go to the mixing console -> audio—to see if your headphones are set as the default device. If they are, try switching the default back to your speakers.

It’s a big question mark how the network is actually set up at your company. There are just too many unknowns for anyone to give you a straight answer on whether something will actually work or not.

How do I configure the monitor's speaker out? in IT Support ·
http://www.digitaltrends.com/monitor...2770hd-review/

Quoting from the article: "Since a PC won’t send audio signals over the HDMI connection, there’s a separate stereo jack for feeding in PC audio, as well as an S/PDIF digital input."

You'll need to run a separate cable for the sound—just a standard 3.5mm jack on both ends, kind of like a headphone cable. One side plugs into your computer where you'd normally hook up speakers, and the other goes right into the monitor.
