Which version of Windows 7 are you running?

Look, I'm no IT guru or anything, but I know at least this much 😁
Maybe I wasn't being clear enough... what I mean is, every single gadget I download from that site just shows up on my laptop as some kind of unknown file that I can't actually do anything with. But then, when I use my desktop computer to grab files from that same site, they come down as actual .exe files, so I just double-click them and the installation works fine. It's weird, I guess.
Both the laptop and the desktop are running Windows 7 Ultimate.

So, I've got this laptop, right? But whenever I try to grab some gadgets from this site, it just won't let me install them. It keeps throwing an "unknown file" error
at me. I guess there might be something I'm missing... what am I supposed to do to actually get these things running? I'd really appreciate any help you guys could throw my way 👍
Thanks!
