My issue is that I’ve broken my nose multiple times and undergone several surgeries. As a result of those breaks—or perhaps from one of the early procedures, quite a long time ago—my nasal valve dynamically collapses, making breathing impossible. In the meantime, none of the so-called "experts" I visited identified or fixed the actual issue; they just kept blaming allergies, deviated septums, and so on, until they eventually destroyed or removed most of the cartilage I had left. Now, however, nobody wants to—or even knows how to—fix it because... "it's a nightmare," as one surgeon literally told me. Those who might not find it such a nightmare simply "don't do it." Basically, it's harder to perform, takes longer, is more exhausting, and frankly, who gives a damn? 😉
And I never wanted a better-looking nose; I just wanted to breathe... what a joke. 🙄

Regardless, you have nothing to fear; the chances of something similar happening to you are minimal. I am more of an outlier. 😉
Theoretically, you could die during surgery... But you almost certainly won't. 😁

Oh boy, but what does your nose actually look like? That concerns me way more than the breathing... I'm not afraid of dying... unless they hit me so hard with a hammer that I pass away peacefully 🙂, I just want a pretty nose... 🙂

It isn't a common occurrence. Most people posting on forums are either deeply dissatisfied or just looking for information. People who are actually happy with their rhinoplasty results—which is usually the case—have zero need to visit forums. They simply move on with their lives after surgery. If my primary procedure had been successful, I wouldn't have logged onto this forum ever. It was pure misery that forced my hand. 🙂 Therefore, the experiences described here are not a metric for the general situation.

I personally know plenty of people who have had nose corrections. Many are more than satisfied (for instance, the surgeon who ruined my nose has done a decent job for some of my acquaintances), but you won't find them on a forum.

My advice: go see multiple surgeons for consultations. Only then will you determine who is truly the best fit for your specific issue.

Good grief. After the absolute nightmare I went through following a car accident, a crushed nasal bone, a failed repositioning, and other misfortunes... I don't have the mental strength to deal with anyone else's mistakes. I am barely hanging on as it is.
So how are you handling this? Is your nose actually worse than it was before? I simply need someone who can offer a guarantee of success... though I'm not sure if such a doctor even exists.

I can't stop staring in the mirror—profile is flawless, though the front is currently a mess of hematomas and swelling around the base and tip. I just have to be patient to see the final results, even if the shape is already clearly incredible. People are definitely going to notice the difference; I look like a whole new person. Honestly, the anxiety I went through was unreal, but looking at this, it was worth it. Now, it’s a mad dash to CVS to grab the strongest concealer possible to fight this purple bruising...

Can you share which surgeon performed your procedure? To be blunt, every plastic surgeon I've consulted so far has treated me like a mere "subject." One famous doctor actually dismissed my entire vision in just three words during our consultation $67; my preferences simply didn't matter to him. He would do it his way and only his way. Please, I need advice—I refuse to end up disfigured just because I wanted a minor correction. It seems to happen all too often. Who can actually be trusted with this?

If this is happening here in the States, which surgeon are we talking about? Feel free to DM me privately!

Thanks!

It is frankly hard to believe these things even happen. I need a rhinoplasty myself; my nose was perfectly fine until a car accident left it broken. Now I need a bump removed, some straightening, and a little lift, but listening to you people makes me want to die of pure terror. Was this also the case with Dr. Ignatovski?
I'm looking for some recent feedback from people who've gone through rhinoplasty. Also, who are the top-tier surgeons in the US right now?
