Karen Grant80 said:Look, if they can't sit down at a computer and show me a digital preview of what my nose would actually look like after surgery, then we're just wasting our time. I’m not out here asking for a nose like Nicole Kidman’s; I’m talking about what’s realistically possible for my own face. There is a massive difference between having a visual of how a change will actually sit on your features versus some doctor just trying to describe it to you with words.
That's exactly why I decided to go see a specialist over in Germany instead, because they all use computer simulations! I totally get that it won't be a 100% perfect match for the final result, but it gives the doctor and the patient a way to actually communicate. I spend a lot of time on German forums, so I've seen plenty of these simulations compared to the actual final outcomes. Americans tend to be more private, but people in Germany are much more open—they share their before-and-after shots so everyone can see the results! Who knows, maybe once I talk to a doctor there, I'll just have the procedure done in Germany, because honestly, the more I read about things here in the States, the more I start to panic. Either way, I'm heading over to see Glušac this summer for a consultation, and I'm bringing a simulation along to see what his take is.

Ugh, I’m actually dreading the thought of having to deal with tampons for three whole days straight. 😢
So, how was your consultation with Bastaic? Did you actually get to see any of his work, or was it all just talk? And honestly, what was the dealbreaker that made you pick him over everyone else?

I’ve been looking closely at Glusac and Bastaic lately, and honestly, I’ve done my homework on both. With Glusac, I have mixed feelings about his aesthetic—some of his noses look incredible, while others just aren't my vibe, which is exactly why I need to get in for a consultation first. I actually visited Bastaic recently (I mentioned that before), and I wasn't totally sold on everything; plus, he was being pretty stingy with showing me photos, though luckily Kate Taylor59 sent some my way. Apparently, he did an amazing job for her, and from what I hear, he specializes in those natural, straight profiles that I'm actually looking for. My biggest headache right now is that I don't live in the States, so I don't exactly have the luxury of flying around to see every single surgeon. But I’ve decided that if Glusac's style clicks with me during the consult, I'm going for it—otherwise, this whole plan is probably dead in the water.

Glusac wasn't the only one I sat down with for consultations—there were several others in the running—but honestly, this guy told me more via email than all those other doctors did during our actual face-to-face meetings. (And he was the only one who didn't charge me just to talk.) What I loved most about him was how he simply asked what I wanted, told me "we'll do this and that," and that was it. He actually carries himself with confidence, unlike most of the other doctors who just kept droning on about how risky everything was, or how it might not turn out the way I envisioned, or how complicated it all seemed. My nose had already been messed up at least four times before this surgery, so everyone else was pretty shaky about the end result... well, everyone except Glusac..
It really seems like he’s the go-to specialist for these kinds of nightmare cases. If I recall correctly, plenty of people on this forum with similar issues ended up seeing him specifically—you know, the ones whose noses were already broken, crooked, or just a total mess!
In my case, thank God, it isn't anything complicated, just purely aesthetic. I feel like any of those surgeons could do a great job because they're all experienced, but man, picking the right one is such a headache!

I had my surgery two months ago. My nose was honestly a disaster—wide, bumpy, high, and basically broken... I absolutely hated it. But now, I finally have the beautiful nose I've always wanted. My profile looks perfect, even though the tip is still a little swollen. The bones are still a bit puffy too, but even with the swelling, it's already thinner and better than before. He mentioned it was quite a challenge for him since I had several old fractures. The procedure was supposed to cost $2,000, which means $4867, but the doctor ended up only charging me $1,400 and told me to take the extra $600 and buy something nice to help with the recovery 😍
I’d highly recommend Dr. Glusac to everyone; if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them 👍.
Since this is only my second post here, I know a lot of you are going to be skeptical about my story, but I'm not here to run an ad or anything. I just want to help girls who are still on the fence, just like rustygardener172 helped me 🙂.
Was Dr. Glusac the only one you went to for consultations?
And what was the deciding factor for you that made you choose him for the surgery?

rustygardener172 said:Look... it seriously wouldn't have been fair if he charged me... We had an agreement in Miami, I drove all that way and called his cell just to get him to explain where to go, but he totally blanked on me... He headed off to San Diego because he was giving some lecture to a group of plastic surgeons.... so I chased him down to San Diego... He did my exam right in the hotel lobby a few minutes before his presentation started.... while all those plastic surgeons mentioned on this forum were literally walking around us. The guy actually mocked me, saying I should've just stopped them one by one to get their opinions since they were all right there 😁
Ha ha, yeah right, like you could've handled all of them at once!!🙂
Honestly, based on all these stories, I don't doubt his skill, but man, his organization is a total mess. Doesn't he have medical staff working in his office, you know, to handle scheduling and keep things running? He can't be expected to be everywhere at once answering calls! It honestly baffles me. You can't just be a doctor and forget you have a patient appointment because someone walks in from outside and you lose track of time!!!!😕

Honestly, the whole thing with Glusac is just hilarious to me—like, does he actually charge people or not? Is anyone even sure anymore?
It seems like he just does whatever he feels like, probably just whenever someone happens to be his favorite!

Kate Taylor59 said:Your nose is top tier, and honestly, there's a reason he didn't touch the summit—everything just fits perfectly. 👍
So, here’s how I saw it go down... he told me straight up that he’d work on the top because it looks absolutely pathetic right now. If anyone actually gives a damn and wants to see, I can send it over via DM.
Can you send it to me too? Please!!
Thanks!

So, I had my consultation with Dr. Bastajić about a week ago. I was actually planning on seeing Glusac too, but my schedule just didn't allow it, so I had to cancel. As for Bastajić? Honestly, I can't say if he's "the one" yet. The whole thing was pretty rushed, and regarding the actual info, everything he told me is stuff I’ve already read right here on this forum. We were on the same page about the nose, though; I told him straight up I want a natural look, and he agreed immediately—his plan sounded fine to me. But then, after barely glancing at my nose, he surprised me by saying I have a slight septal deviation on the right side that could be fixed right then and there. I’ve never had any breathing issues, so I really only care about the aesthetics. Because of that, I decided to go see a regular ENT to see if there's even a medical reason to touch it. I didn't bother asking if the price changes if we only do the cosmetic part. Total would be around $2,200. One huge red flag for me, though, was when he suggested during that quick chat that we could just fill my upper lip with Aquamid to make it look better since it's so thin. That would be another $500 on top of everything. And when I asked him what exactly that was? He basically just said, "You can look it up on the internet!!!" Like, seriously? Now I'm just left feeling super confused. I'm bummed I missed out on seeing Glusac because then I could've done a direct comparison. Overall, I've decided I'm not doing the surgery this summer. I'm terrified of the swelling; my legs and arms swell up like crazy in the heat, so I know my nose would be the same way. I'll be heading to Miami in July, so I'll just coordinate a time to see Glusac then!!!

rustygardener172 said:You won't find any evidence of it unless you're looking directly at people who've actually gone under the knife. I've seen two of his noses in person, and honestly? I wouldn't have guessed for a second that they were surgically enhanced. They just looked like perfectly normal, straight noses—not too small, not too hooked. So, if you're hunting for that tiny, upturned look, I don't think this guy is your best bet. 😁
Based on how you described him, I’d pick him in a heartbeat without even meeting him! Honestly, I'm all about that straight, natural nose profile. And just like you said, nothing too small and nothing overdone—just right. Now I just have to survive the next two weeks until we actually talk!

Kate Taylor59 said:I’m honestly just lost at this point... what if my nose is actually a nightmare case? Like, what if it takes way more work than expected to fix...
But I still really want an ENT to do it... I've heard nothing but glowing reviews about Glusac, and now I'm here...
I totally feel you on that. Glusac is at the top of my list too, but then you read all these perfect testimonials and suddenly someone pops up saying they had a terrible experience! It makes you spiral, thinking, "What if it goes south for me, too?" But honestly, isn't every doctor flawed in some way? No one is ever truly perfect. My situation isn't even as intense as yours—for me, it's purely about how it looks. I'm constantly second-guessing myself! I have a consultation scheduled for late April, so we'll see how things shake out then.

Megan Moore76 said:Look, there are cranky people everywhere, even with the doctors you actually like 😉 It’s just how it goes—everyone has an opinion, and at the end of the day, doctors are just humans too 😉
But honestly, when you see a massive wave of unhappy people, wouldn't you stop and wonder why? I've been following this thread from page one, and let me tell you, there's one doctor I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole because of all the complaints, and another one I'd skip just because I hate his nose. I'd give pretty much any other doctor a fair shot during a consultation.
My advice? Read this whole thread from the very beginning. Don't take every single word as gospel, obviously, but definitely pay attention to the patterns people are pointing out.
Which doctor are you talking about—the one you'd 100% avoid? I've been reading this since the start, but honestly, after reading so much, my head is spinning. Is it just me, or does reading more just make you feel more insecure and confused?

So, I finally booked my consultations with Bastajić and Glusac for late April! First step is officially in the books, though I’m not gonna lie, I was low-key freaking out about it. When I called Bastajić, the nurse picked up and she was actually super sweet, but then Glusac took over the line himself. Good grief, does he ever stop talking? He talks so fast I could barely wrap my head around what he was saying!!!! But honestly, he really does come off as that totally detached, indifferent type everyone warned me about, even just over the phone. I guess we'll see if either of them actually clicks with me!

Hey everyone! I’ve been lurking through these 218 pages for a few days now, and I finally decided to stop watching and actually join the Forum. I've been weighing the idea of getting a nose job for a while, but lately, my dissatisfaction has just been hitting a breaking point, so I'm finally ready to pull the trigger. I’m currently living abroad in Germany, and I’ve been doing a ton of digging over here. A top-tier specialist would set me back anywhere from $4,000 to $5,000, which—let’s be real—is just not in my budget right now. That’s why I started hunting for doctors back home via the internet and ended up finding this Forum. After everything I’ve read on here, I’m looking closely at Dr. Glusac and Dr. Bastasic! I managed to find Dr. Glusac’s website where he lists all his info and photos of his work, but when it comes to Dr. Bastasic, I can't find anything besides an address and a phone number. I’d love to see some before and after shots of his results. Can anyone tell me what keywords I should search for to find his site? Is there even any work of his available online??
Ps. if that gentleman (I think his username is Jasmine) who lives in Germany happens to be active over the next few days, could you please reach out? I have a few more things I’d love to pick your brain about regarding Dr. Glusac!!!!
Thanks in advance, best
