Kate Taylor59 said:Honestly, I’m just... wow. All credit goes to Dr. Dzepina and his wonderful staff.
I was bleeding quite a bit, which left the doctor feeling a little disappointed—though once he actually checked my nose, he noticed the deviation on my left side and took care of that too. He did quite a few things while I was under; no pain at all, though my throat feels incredibly dry right now, which is a bit irritating, but... well, come on... the anesthesia was absolutely perfect! 🙂

Who would even believe I was the one who went through with it? I'm such a total coward, really LOL

Bravooooo!!!!!

General anesthesia—I actually went to see Dr. Bastaic recently, and I have to say, I was incredibly satisfied with the entire medical team. There were about five people in the OR with me during the procedure, and then the nurse stayed by my side through the night.

As for the anesthesia itself, I just felt a bit drowsy for a few hours afterward. No sore throat, I could get to the restroom on my own, no dizziness, no nausea... everything was pretty smooth, I guess.

sooooo good!!!!!👍
Ladies, I’ve spent the entire morning just staring at myself in the mirror—honestly, I can't stop... my nose looks absolutely stunning, and it seems to be getting smaller by the day! I am just so incredibly happy about it that I felt compelled to share this little bit of joy with all of you, haha 🙂🙂🙂
Best of luck to Kate Taylor59 and Ashley Gomez!!!! 👍
Carol Diaz31, that sounds amazing! My nose was actually pretty similar to yours before—now that it’s been a month and five days since my surgery, the only thing that really gets under my skin is that width along the sides... everything else feels great, I guess. How long has it been since your procedure, and when did that width finally start to fade away?
Carol Diaz31 said:I think I'll send them over to everyone for two main reasons—if you can call them that:

1) Honestly, I get this little rush of happiness every single time I look at my old nose while I'm sending out these photos. It's strange, I guess. 😂

2) And, well... I suppose I just want to hear people tell me how great my new nose looks, maybe just to balance out all those times I had to hear how much I hated the old one. 😂

For me, for me, please!
Jessica Grant61 said:I had my surgery three weeks ago—I had a massive hump and a wide nose—and once the cast was finally off, the hump was gone. But then the doctor examines me and claims my nose looks thin now... except when I look in the mirror, I don't see anything thin at all. Honestly, I can feel the bone along the sides and it just feels... broken? The doctor insists it will slim down over time, and I suppose I am starting to see a bit of that thinning, though it’s not quite there yet. Do you still find those areas look wide?

In my case, I had a narrow nose profile but a huge hump; now that the hump is gone, those bony ridges on the sides make it look wider, but I guess it'll pass... My surgeon mentioned it takes at least four months for everything to settle, and you don't really see the final result until the 6 to 12-month mark. I was also pretty spooked that it would stay this wide, but it's already looking better, even though it's only been 26 days since the procedure. I know how it goes... who knows if we'll even make it to six months without worrying.🙄
Elizabeth Collins5 said:Is it actually normal to have lumps appearing on my nose five months after surgery? They aren't just palpable—they're actually visible too. 😢 Has anyone else dealt with this? Did the bumps eventually go away, or... not so much?

Oh boy, please don't tell me I'm going to end up with five lumps instead of just one... if you find out what's actually going on, would you mind letting me know? It's been three weeks since my procedure, and honestly, my nose still looks incredibly wide, which is just so frustrating. Plus, my left nostril is still completely blocked... I've got a follow-up appointment this Monday, so we'll see.😢
Emily Martinez12 said:Linda Wilson82, I mean—what kind of nose were you actually working with that it just had to be broken?

Tall, with a massive hunchback... honestly, looks more like a parrot.🙂
It’s been 12 days since my surgery, and I’m still dealing with those pesky fluid pockets—though they seem a bit smaller now—and my nose brace feels slightly less restrictive every single day 😍
The one thing that’s really getting under my skin, though, is how wide the nasal area looks right where the bone was reset... it just feels so broad on both sides. My doctor mentioned that this should settle down and that it’s perfectly normal, provided I just give it enough time 😢 Has anyone else dealt with this? When does that width actually start to fade...? stormyharbor2?? Maybe you might know, since you mentioned your nose went through something similar to mine??? Please let me know!!!!
stormyharbor2 said:He’s charging them—though I think he actually charged me 100 rather than 200. Do you happen to remember which number I gave you? I seem to have forgotten.😂

Princess LOL, I know exactly what you mean. 🤣

He didn't charge me at all...🤷
coastalscout18 said:You took the words right out of my mouth—how much does a consultation cost?

I believe Glusac doesn't actually charge for consultations, and if I recall correctly, he might even accept certain credit cards for other payments... I think.🙂
Kate Taylor59 said:How many of you went under with local anesthesia versus general? I’m actually quite curious about this—mostly because playing around with general anesthesia just doesn't seem like a great idea...

General, definitely. I can't even imagine doing it under local.😲
stormyharbor2 said:I don't mean to sound negative, but can you all actually tell what your nose is going to look like yet? Most people here seem to know if they're happy with the results just a few days after surgery, but my nose has been changing for an entire month now—it doesn't even look like how it did at the start. 🤔

Well, it’s definitely going to change... but since I used to have that "parrot" profile—really high with a huge hump—I was hoping that maybe, if nothing else, it would at least be flatter and smaller now. It’s certainly more attractive than it was before, I think. 🙂

stormyharbor2, did you have to clean your nose much before your first follow-up, and was it super congested?
Emily Martinez12 said:Linda Wilson82, would you mind just posting the cost of the surgery here publicly? It might be helpful for others down the road... 😉

Functionality and aesthetics—all for 2,000 dollars—and that's that... I'm honestly quite excited, just waiting to get the mold removed 🙂
Does anyone have any advice on the best way to clean my nose before my follow-up appointment?
Well, here's an update from my side—I had my surgery yesterday and everything went surprisingly smoothly. They removed the tampon this morning, and I finally have a normal noooooossssss!!!!!! I mean... if my quick glance this morning was any indication, things are looking great. I am honestly beyond thrilled with Dr. Glusac—he’s been wonderful. I'm getting the mold removed this Tuesday, so I'll be sure to send over some before and after photos for you all. Best wishes!!!!!! 🙏
rustygardener172 said:Get in touch immediately regarding those first breastfeeds—if you can—I guess. 😁 And give my regards to Glusca. 👍

Definitely. 👍
Emily Martinez12 said:So when is the surgery scheduled? This Friday?
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed—really looking forward to hearing how everything went!

It looks like Thursday or maybe Friday... I'll reach out soon. Thanks for the support, really.👍
Emily Martinez12 said:Like I mentioned on the previous threads, I really wouldn't want a hooked nose—I just don't think it would suit my face. From what I can see, Dr. Glusac mostly does those types of nose jobs... so I'm wondering what you think. Do you think he’d actually respect my request for a flatter profile, or would he end up doing it more his way? I don't know, maybe he just doesn't have much experience with straight noses, which might be why he sticks to the same look...

I honestly think he would definitely honor your request. Even I told him I didn't want a hooked nose, and his reaction was completely normal... he really does respect what the patient wants. Maybe seeing how my nose looks a few days after my surgery will help you make your decision. I'm feeling quite optimistic about this whole thing, and given my luck... well, I won't go into that.😂
rustygardener172 said:And honestly, he’s just built that way— 😁
I mean, I’ve actually seen two of his perfectly straight noses because of the girls here on the forum. He even asked me if he could perform the procedure on my nose since he thought it would suit me... and well, I agreed.
Sending photos now...

rustygardener172, I assume everyone has probably driven you crazy asking for photos, but please—could I get one too???!!!! I can see how happy you are, and that really gives me some courage since I'm headed into surgery in just two or three days.
