Much appreciated, and my very best to you.
I honestly can't tell if these people actually build and sell these boats themselves, or if they just snagged some sweetheart discount as customers and now they're basically acting as unpaid brand ambassadors... who knows!
Or am I missing something here—is your definition of "stealth marketing" strictly limited to when someone is peddling their own product?
The reality is quite simple: if a potential buyer decides to Google the name of a boat, the first thing they’ll see is a link to the manufacturer's site, followed immediately by a thread on an American forum filled with nothing but glowing praise for that exact vessel... so, I'll let you be the judge of whether that kind of setup influences a buyer's decision.
And then, heaven forbid someone dares to post a dissenting opinion within the thread, the whole post gets wiped away under the convenient pretext of "protecting the community from insults."
Speaking of insults, Mark Booth91 had the audacity to express a different perspective on this particular boat, only to be met with a relentless tidal wave of vitriol and condescension from the crowd.
So, I have to wonder: do my observations above qualify as insults and disparagement, or does this still fall under the umbrella of simply "expressing an opinion"?
To whom it may concern,
I am formally submitting a report regarding the thread titled "small art - 5m. - an excellent boat" located within the Nautica subforum,
as I believe it constitutes a clear case of astroturfing.
Furthermore, there is a palpable sense of disparagement directed toward Mark Booth91 in that particular discussion; he was essentially bullied for daring to voice a dissenting opinion about this supposedly "excellent boat" in a separate thread—a thread that, quite conveniently, was wiped from the face of this forum and no longer exists.
One wouldn't even have to look very hard to verify this blatant marketing ploy; if you simply head over to Google and search for the term "small art," which happens to be the specific model name of this vessel,
you will find that Google prioritizes the manufacturer’s official landing page as the first result, immediately followed by this very forum thread, which serves as nothing more than a curated testimonial claiming how "great" the boat is.
I kindly request that you reconsider the title of this thread and, more importantly, purge the following posts from the record: 1, 8, 33, 34, 37, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 58, 68, 70.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
