From everything I’ve gathered through various stories, dealing with MRSA seems to be a total roll of the dice. For some, it’s a minor nuisance; for others, it’s a nightmare; and for a few, it’s straight-up fatal. It’s all incredibly individual—even how antibiotics actually react to it varies from person to person. Some people kick it to the curb, while others... well, they don't. One thing that really trips me up, though: if MRSA is supposedly only a killer when your immune system is trashed or when it hits your bloodstream and bones via an open wound, how does it manage to take down someone who was perfectly healthy? Like, someone who wasn't even in a hospital or recovering from surgery before this hit them? What are regular, healthy people doing wrong that lets this monster get the upper hand?
