If it leads to hydrocephalus or aqueduct obstructions, then surgery might be necessary...
You mentioned it’s quite large at 18mm, but you didn't say if it's actually causing issues. How was it found? Was it due to specific symptoms, or just a random finding during a CT scan for something else?

It was because of symptoms... discovered after having another neck surgery...
The symptoms are:

feeling sleepy and fatigued
Headaches
Irritability, which seems to be getting worse...
Loss of appetite
Lethargy
Nausea,
slowed thinking...
trouble concentrating,
it feels like my brain is just fading away... all I want to do is sleep... even though my blood pressure and blood work are totally fine...

female, over 30, 18 mm cavum verge
Has anyone else gone through something similar... wondering if surgery is actually the move or what?

I also looked it up and it seems benign... but I'm wondering how risky this actually is and if surgery is on the table. The patient is over 30... and the cavum vergae measurement is 18mm...
Does anyone happen to know what this actually is, and if surgery is usually required... it's located in the brain...
