Lawrence Castillo76 said:I honestly can't wrap my head around the absolute joke of coaching we see in the NBA lately. Why on earth wouldn't you call a foul when you're up by three on a final possession? Between what the Detroit coach did last night and that clown sitting on the Heat bench the other day, I’m baffled. They seriously need to go back to basics or maybe take some coaching clinics over in Europe. And of course, both teams that gave up those threes ended up losing in overtime.

Well, it seems like an unwritten rule for them—you don't intentionally foul when you've got a three-point lead; you just try to play defense and hope for the best. I was actually pretty shocked when I first learned that was how they operated a few years back.

Bryant K. (LAL) (-28,5+) over

Word on the street is that Parsons played him pretty tight last game, which might partially explain why Bryant's shooting percentages looked a bit off; however, even with that defensive pressure, he was hovering right around this threshold. He’s back on home soil tonight, and I am certain he’ll dig deep to prove that last performance was nothing more than a fluke. I'm calling it now: he clears 30 tonight. 🙂

End of the 3rd quarter

Anthony already has 27, just needs one more to break through🙂
Stoudemire sits at 21, needing just one more for the milestone🙂

I have no idea why nobody is bringing this up

Amar'e Stoudemire over 21.5
Carmelo Anthony over 27.5

We all know the kind of ball the New York coach wants to push; they rarely wait for an offensive set to finish. They’ve been a bit sluggish this season, but I truly believe they'll start finding their rhythm, and Washington is the perfect punching bag for that since they’re struggling across basically every statistical category. Looking at their roster, they simply don't have anyone capable of slowing down Stoudemire. Even though he dealt with some minor injury issues early on, he dropped 25 last game and claims he's finally back to 100%. If I recall correctly, he averaged 28 points against Washington in three games last season and absolutely owned the paint. He can knock down mid-range jumpers without breaking a sweat, making him a nightmare to guard—if you step out to contest the shot, you leave the lane wide open for one of those wild, aggressive dunks. Toss in 7 or 8 free throws, and I expect him to clear this line easily enough.
- As for Carmelo Anthony, he could drop 30+ on pretty much any team in the league. Given that these two specific teams have the worst perimeter defense in the league, I’m expecting a scoring outburst, which makes it highly likely both guys go over their totals, though Stoudemire feels like the safer bet to me.
