I won't quote everyone here—just to be clear, I have a deviated septum, which means I need a functional surgery... as for the aesthetics, I just want my nose centered so it isn't crooked. Right now, I have no idea what to do. Money isn't the issue—I can stay home if I have to—I just want to look decent for a wedding! But if I wait until after that, I'll be right in the middle of a school trip 😢 Ugh, the price was around $1,600, if I recall correctly—though I'm not entirely sure anymore since he mentioned how much covers the functional part versus adding something for a bump
I really need some advice here 😢
I’m planning to have my surgery with Glusac... anyway, look at this timeline. It’s March 19th today—tomorrow I’m heading out to get my X-ray referral, then the pre-op scans, and by Friday the results should be ready. After that, I meet with him to go over everything—EKG, anesthesiologist, all that—and he’ll schedule the actual procedure, probably about ten days later. The thing is, I have a wedding on April 28th or 29th. Do you think I could actually show up looking okay? He told me I could have the surgery on a Friday, get my Tampons removed on Saturday, and be back at school by Monday without any bruising... is that even realistic? I just really want to make sure my nose looks straight for the wedding photos 😢

Can anyone help me out? I have a deviated septum—I really want to get this done privately rather than at a public hospital. But... I'm only 17. Is being that young going to be a major hurdle for the surgery? It’s causing serious breathing issues, not to mention the self-esteem stuff... 🙂
I was looking into Mayo Clinic or maybe a specialist in Chicago? Does anyone have a rough idea of what the cost might look like?

edit: I reached out to Glusac—going in for a consultation soon, so he'll likely be the one doing it.
Hi everyone,
Can anyone help me out here? I have a deviated septum and I’d rather go private instead of dealing with a hospital setting. But—since I’m only 17—is my age going to be a major hurdle for this surgery? It makes breathing a nightmare, not to mention the blow to my confidence... 🙂
