So, you're basically back to looking normal after just 20 days? Like, if someone doesn't know you, they wouldn't even realize you had plastic surgery?
dustyheron102, I’ve got a question for you... it's been about 20 days now since I started—how's the nose looking? The dark circles and those swollen spots seem to have calmed down a bit, if that makes sense.
rustygardener172, you nailed it—I definitely fall into that third category. 🙈 I'm not asking for much, honestly—just being able to breathe a little easier and maybe having a slightly shorter nose. 😁 This waiting game is going to drive me insane. As long as there aren't any lumps or major disasters, I guess everything else will just work itself out...
Hey everyone—I’ve been lurking on this forum for a while now, and I’m seeing a pretty even split between the glowing reviews and the horror stories. I have my surgery scheduled for July 23rd, and honestly, I'm starting to get a little nervous. I really don't want to end up with a nose that looks worse than what I have now 😢 please tell me there are actually more happy patients out there than the ones who are angry or heartbroken...

I was actually told to stay out of the sun between 2 and 4 PM...
Maybe check with your doctor about those creams—see what they think...
Honestly, working in the winter is the way to go... I really regret not doing more back then...
Haha, a hat at the beach? Fine, maybe I'll just wear a Christmas beanie instead 😁
restlessfox3 said:You really need to steer clear of the sun, saunas, and tanning beds for about two months...
The massages are mostly to help with swelling—keep things from getting too puffy and make sure the skin doesn't stick...
As for compresses, you should start those right after surgery; just grab what you need at a local pharmacy...
Whether you deal with heavy swelling or barely notice it really depends on how you take care of yourself... honestly, there isn't some magic cream to speed it all up—every doctor will tell you the same thing...
Your surgeon will give you specific instructions...
Just ask them everything—that's your best bet for feeling secure.
Two whole months?? Man, that means zero trips to the beach for me this summer.😢
A few girls mentioned certain creams for dark circles or bruising... anyway, thanks!
I’ve been lurking on this forum for a while now—rowdyfalcon3, would you mind sharing some photos? I'm dying to see how it actually looks... I placed my order back on July 24th through the clinic over in Chicago, and they agreed to do the aesthetic part for free 😁. I have no idea how mine will turn out, but Donna Bennett73 ended up looking fantastic, so fingers crossed for me too. Also, does anyone have tips on speeding up the recovery? I’d really rather not be walking along the beach looking so swollen that toddlers start getting scared of me 🙂. You guys have covered a lot of ground here, but let's recap... you mentioned sleeping with my head slightly elevated (for how many days?), and regarding massages—are those just to prevent the skin from sticking, or do they actually help reduce swelling? What about ice packs or eye creams? Please, give me all the details 😁
rowdyfalcon35 said:Don't mention it. Good luck—I’m really hopeful you found a great doctor. This one already proved himself by predicting things wouldn't go quite like my experience; back then, my nose basically fell apart during surgery while hers stayed perfectly intact. That's just what a solid doctor does.
Yeah, I know. I've actually been following your posts for a little while now. Keep us posted on how everything turns out—and hey, if you can sue them, you might walk away with some decent cash.🙂
Does anyone remember the name of Donna Bennett73's doctor?
So many different doctors and so many conflicting opinions—everyone’s had their own experience with this. Honestly, the more I read through this forum, the more confused I get... 😢
Oh, and nobody has actually mentioned if it's okay to go swimming in the ocean or a pool yet??
So, I went in for a consultation about my nose. The doctor spent about 10 minutes rambling on about piercings, engines, and his own massive head—and then, in maybe ninety seconds, he finally glanced at my nose, told me I need to fix my septum (well, he just said I needed surgery, the rest was all in the report), and sent me on my way. Honestly, I have zero clue what he’s actually planning to do to me, how long recovery takes, or how much it’s going to hurt—which matters because of my training schedule. Plus, if I’m already going under the knife to get my nose shape fixed 🙂, does the procedure include aesthetic corrections too? If anyone actually knows, please explain, because this guy isn't acting much like a doctor. I even asked him if this might finally stop my snoring, and he basically told me that wasn't his concern. Like, seriously, what's the point? Am I actually going to be able to breathe easier or what?
