I work for a living, anyway, and yeah, I want to squeeze every last cent out of the government because they drain me and everyone else way too much—but that’s not what this thread is about, which I’ve read like 90% of, by the way, and it has nothing to do with the title. Just feels like I'm watching some old trashy TV drama 🙂

I honestly don't think there's any point in getting cartilage removed from your nose just because of Muay Thai. That's mostly a boxer thing since they take hits to the nose every single day, whereas in Muay Thai, they tend to take hits to other parts of the body more often. 🙂
I know two guys who actually had it done; both are pro boxers, and their noses look wide, almost like a Black athlete's profile.

😂

You show up to a thread about rhinoplasty and start acting regretful just because people are talking about—nose jobs and nose piercings! And then you actually have the nerve to insult women who paid for their own surgeries. Wow! Maybe I should watch Dr. Oz, perhaps he can explain what this ridiculous phenomenon is called!
mellowcobra8 said:I mostly sleep on my left side too, though I had no clue that was bad. I'm also interested in those options through public insurance, but obviously everyone posting here is loaded, so they haven't even considered it—they just get their dad to hand over the cash and call it a day.
Those of us without those kinds of resources just have to shut up and deal with it.
Anyway, everyone I talk to claims you can get an op done for free through Medicaid, but what worries me is that the surgeon might screw me over since I won't be paying him anything. He’d want to fix it and shorten it by at least half,😂 and maybe even pull a tooth because of boxing.
But it seems like nobody here can actually share real experiences because everyone paid out of pocket for plastic surgery. Just tell us which place is the cheapest, where it's the most expensive, and how long I have to stay away from getting hit in the nose after the op.🤣(I do Muay Thai, currently taking a break.)

Did it ever cross your mind that people actually work and save money specifically to pay for surgery? That option probably doesn't suit you since it doesn't involve draining the Medicaid budget and requires a decent amount of effort—pretty much as much effort as reading the previous pages of this thread or using Google..

They rarely pull teeth for amateur athletes, and I doubt any doctor would recommend it to you anyway. After the operation, you need to avoid impacts for six months to a year. You can get back to training after two or three weeks, but keep it light—no sparring. Later on, use a face guard helmet and keep your guard high..

I went looking at the pricing for nose surgery on the EstheticOn site. I guess you could say they aren't exactly cheap about it. Maybe it’s just how things work in this business, but the costs listed there... well, they certainly make you think twice. It's pretty blunt, if you ask me. Just a list of numbers that hit you right in the face.

He’s been mentioned over the last few pages, and honestly? I wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot pole. He absolutely butchered my nose—it was a total disaster—so now I’m stuck facing yet another surgery to fix his mess. I definitely wouldn't recommend him to you.
Kimberly Hughes17 said:Hi everyone!!
I’ve been weighing the idea of nose surgery for quite some time now for several reasons. I have a deviated septum, though it doesn't actually cause massive issues like it used to—back in the spring, my allergies would leave me with a stuffed nose for weeks—but nowadays, it just happens occasionally. However, it's the aesthetic side that really, really bothers me. My nasal tip droops toward my lip, there's this prominent ridge between the cartilages, and it's crooked and quite long... one profile looks okay, but the other is just ugly. And I'm not even one of those lucky people who looks good from the front—which feels even worse, honestly. So when I'm taking photos, I try to turn toward the "good" side and I'm terrified of smiling too much... It's hard to accept that this causes such an issue for me as an adult, but I guess it is what it is. I broke my nose once, and I don't know how much that affected things, because looking at childhood photos, I notice my nose always looked different than most others.
Anyway, I'll stop rambling about my life story and get to the point... I've been following this forum for a few days trying to gather some impressions. I don't have any idea yet who I should go to for the surgery. I'm somewhat curious about Dr. Glušac in LA, but I'll have to think more about that.
I want to know if any of you have had surgery specifically on the nasal tip (mine is crooked and large) and if that can even be done with an endonasal approach? If so, what happens to the excess skin?
Sorry for the "essay"... I won't drag it out like this again🙄
Thanks in advance

I saw Glušac; I also have a large nasal tip, and after his surgery, it still looks big.. -.-
Though, I did get a hole in my nose for free🙂

When did you have the surgery? Did you actually try complaining to him?

I felt compelled to jump in because I really relate to Betty Thompson45, and I see plenty of other women here who had nose surgery with Glušac or others, so I'm inviting you all to discuss this...

My septorhinoplasty was about a year and a half ago. I still can't breathe through one nostril just like before, but now my nose looks even larger and wider. There's a dent right in the middle, it's sunken, and the tip is absolutely massive—it looks like a ball. Seriously, the very tip I wanted to beautify is just incredibly thick, much like what Betty Thompson45 described.
😢...I'll post pictures once I feel brave enough🙂))

I keep emailing the doctor and I was back for a check-up recently where he used some local instrument to poke at something so I could breathe, and he did it without any documentation, but whatever... I still can't breathe.
The doctor blames the look of my nose after surgery on my, as he calls it, "thick skin" and claims I have to wait three years for everything to settle! I've been hearing that for a whole year now. I've been massaging the tip according to his instructions, but it's useless... nothing works. I'm honestly terrified about what comes next. What am I supposed to do...

Did he offer you a revision? I went to see an ENT specialist over at a major hospital in Washington, D.C., and he told me straight up that the nose is a total disaster. He said that after a year, the true state of the nose is visible and there's no point waiting another eighteen months because absolutely nothing is going to change. It's been 19 months since my surgery and my nose is catastrophic. The tip is a bulb, the nasal bones are crooked, and there's a pit at the bridge... I'd be happiest if I could just get my money back because I don't want him touching my nose ever again.
Could you please send me some photos of your nose via DM?
Sandra Green81 said:Why on earth aren't you people posting photos? I guess it would be helpful for those of us actually searching to see firsthand what the situation looks like at different doctors' offices. Honestly, I'm just terrified that I might end up facing something like this:

I'd probably swap mine out for that one in a heartbeat... Yeah, things look pretty desperate.. 😢
analogbison15 said:What’s the damage for the surgery? I need the lowest price possible, assuming they actually do a decent job.

There is a rhinoplasty deal on Groupon for $2000, maybe at some local clinic or something.. I haven't heard of them personally, but I guess you should look into it.. They might be alright, I suppose. 🙂

Susan Cooper23 said:I paid $2,400 for the surgery. That includes staying overnight at their clinic. Zambell is extremely professional and highly capable. From my own experience, I can say patient satisfaction is his top priority. Actually, today marks exactly 6 months since the operation, and since I haven't made it back to San Francisco for a checkup yet (just haven't had the time to travel), Doctor called me yesterday to check on my breathing and see if I'm happy with the aesthetics. He’s realistic and down-to-earth—I'm emphasizing this because there are surgeons out there who are all sweet talk and self-praise, but their results are terrible, and you have to watch out for them. You shouldn't fall for pretty words; you need to focus strictly on the surgeon's actual results.

Ugh, just thinking about the money I spent on my nose and now I have to start saving up again... 🙂

Could you please send some photos of your nose to my inbox?
Susan Cooper23 said:The truth is, skin thickness matters. If you have thick skin, getting a super narrow nose is probably going to be tough.
Plus, it’s all about whether the shape actually fits your facial features. Some people look great with small, slim noses, and others just don't.

If you're seriously looking at revision surgery, I guess you should definitely consult with several surgeons to see who you vibe with best. Personally, I’d suggest Dr. Zambelli.

I know I can't get a totally thin nose. Honestly, even the thickness isn't the main issue—it's more that the tip still looks massive, and my nasal bones are flat on one side but then go bump-dent-bump on the other. Since I have a narrow face, I feel like my nose takes up half my entire face right now.😁
And if the lighting hits that bumpy side just right, it literally looks like my nose was snapped in two.😲

Do you happen to know roughly what Zambelli charges?
boldgardener14 said:Hey everyone... I’m starting to panic a little because my surgery date is getting so close. I went in for consultations with both Borić and Kinčl, and in the end, I decided to go with Kinčl. I tried really hard to stay off the internet so I wouldn't freak myself out, but honestly, it was useless. I read something online today claiming Kinčl messed up some surgeries, and now I'm spiraling. Does anyone here actually have experience working with him?

Look, for every single doctor out there, you're going to find both glowing reviews and total horror stories online. When I was prepping for my own surgery, I made the mistake of only looking for positive experiences, and I definitely miscalculated there.
I suppose the most critical thing is just feeling comfortable while you're talking to the surgeon—making sure you actually understand one another. No one can give you a 100% guarantee that the surgery will be perfect or that you'll be happy with the result, but then again, maybe it's worth the risk for a perfect nose. 😉

Wishing you the best of luck with the procedure. I hope you'll be back on the forum soon to brag about your new look. 😍
Elizabeth Fox57 said:Yeah, nobody ever wants to admit they actually messed up... and even if they did, I honestly think they'd try to offer you some free secondary procedure or a cheap discount instead of just giving your money back... Still, I suppose it doesn't cost anything to ask...
Yeah, and I'm curious too about who this is... I mean, we're all here to help each other out with our experiences, right?

And there's one thing—it’s been 7 weeks since my surgery... am I allowed to use those acne-fighting face washes or creams yet???? My face has basically declared war on me.😉

I had my surgery with Dr. Miller and I really don't want to go back to him for a revision, let alone have him pay for it. He told me himself that if the Doctor doesn't get it right the first time, it's hard for anyone else to succeed later on..

I was using gels, creams, face masks... everything, just two weeks after my surgery. 😉
Hi everyone.

I’m getting ready for my second nose job, and I really hope this one actually works out. I was wondering if any of you here have gone through a revision surgery?
The Doctor who completely ruined my nose keeps dodging responsibility with all these excuses: he says I have thick skin, claims he can't make it any smaller because of my body type (5'7"/110 lbs), and insists it’ll take three years just to settle down. 🙂

I refuse to go back to him for another procedure, so I’m curious—who would you recommend for a secondary rhinoplasty? Personally, I’m leaning toward Glumičić since I really prefer those small, narrow noses. 😍

Also, is there even any hope that the Doctor who "fixed" my nose will offer to refund at least some of the money, or maybe just admit he messed up?
