I'm looking to put together a new rig specifically for video editing, since I want to start uploading 4K content to YouTube By the way, if you haven't built up a massive following yet, uploading in just 1080p can be a bit of a disaster because YouTube tends to assign the AVC codec, which honestly looks pretty terrible. If you upload at 1440p or 2160p, you automatically get the VP09 codec instead, so it's definitely worth pushing for those higher resolutions every single time (at least until your channel really takes off) Anyway, feel free to shoot me a DM with a link to your channel! How much the GPU actually matters is really up to your specific workflow, isn't it? It all comes down to how many effects you're stacking in Premiere Pro and which ones you prefer to use. While Premiere Pro isn't quite as dependent on the GPU as DaVinci Resolve is, if you start layering multiple heavy effects, you might find your CPU hitting a wall—especially since Adobe software isn't always perfectly optimized for multi-core processing....
But honestly, if you're currently running some kind of AMD APU, any plan involving an old GPU is probably going to fall short; in that case, even a GTX 1650 with 4GB would feel like a massive leap forward, and you can always upgrade later. Besides, does it really make sense to overspend on a high-end GPU right now when you could save that cash to invest in something much better down the road?

By the way, I read somewhere that for editing 4K video, you really need a graphics card with at least 6GB of VRAM (which seems to be the standard recommendation everywhere)...so if that's true, this 4GB option might be a non-starter right from the beginning.
I don't think I'll be stacking a mountain of effects just yet, though I am still learning the ropes in Premiere Pro, and I feel like every time I learn something new, I want to try it out... so who knows what I'll be doing in a few months! It might actually be smart to secure some stronger components early on. Since I don't play games, and I highly doubt 8K will become a standard anytime soon like 4K did, I'm thinking this setup could easily last me 7 or 8 years without any issues.

Basically, I'm looking for a layout where if I click on, say, matchday 5 of the French second division, a full list of all the matchups pops up along with the scores—and ideally, with the goalscorers and the exact minutes they scored right there in parentheses) A few years back, a betting site I used to frequent had this exact feature, and man, it was absolutely fantastic. But then they went and "updated" their stats page, and while everything looks sleek and modern now, they completely stripped that specific detail away. It feels like such a step backward, honestly...
