Another great option would be heading over to Johns Hopkins; I know a specialist there, Dr. Basic-Kes, who does incredible work. To be honest, I was actually in a similar boat just a few months ago. I spent some time being tested because they suspected I might have MS. Thank God, everything turned out fine on my end, but it was still a huge scare. Please, I’m telling you this as someone who’s been there: please take these health concerns seriously and really dive into getting answers.🙂

It’s been a while since I’ve checked in here. Honestly, things have been pretty quiet on my end lately—I haven't had any major seizures in quite some time. I still get those moments where I start babbling when I'm exhausted right before bed, you know? It makes it such a struggle to just speak normally, but at least the intense dizziness isn't there anymore, and I haven't dealt with that numbness on my right side. 🙂
I'm just sitting here waiting on my CT scan results... we'll see if my nerves hold up under the pressure. 🙂
Nothing much to report yet... just waiting on my TCD results
But I think I figured something out, and even my doctor looked a bit puzzled
The nerves in my legs just aren't firing right
And that numbness in my thumb? I can't feel that nerve at all anymore. Before, if I ran my finger over it, the sensation was incredibly intense, but now, there's just nothing
Well, they finally arrived... nothing too crazy or out of the ordinary, the EEG looks perfectly fine
I’m dealing with some absolutely brutal migraines following my seizure, and I'm just stuck in limbo. They’ve been trying to interpret my EEG results for over a week now—it's driving me crazy. -.- Every single time I call, they just tell me to check back in tomorrow.
That’s what they told me right from the start, saying it was
No, it’s just that sometimes I get these dizzy spells, but my left foot feels fine now
My doctor is out on sick leave, so I won't get my test results until Monday. Just my luck...
Hey everyone, I'm heading in for an EEG later this morning around 10:30, so I'll check back in with you all once I'm done. 🙂
It all started right at the end of the school year, so we're talking late May or early June
I’ve actually dealt with this about four or five times now. Each episode lasts quite a while—anywhere from an hour to maybe two full hours if I'm lucky
And my finger? It’s been feeling completely numb for almost two weeks straight now
Look, I get where you're coming from, but I don't think you guys really get me either. I got into it with my parents again yesterday, and you won't believe what my dad said to me. He was just like, "I can't wait for this EEG to be over, because if it turns out you're perfectly fine, then I am seriously done with you—you're just being dramatic."
Honestly, I don't think my situation is even that big of a deal

They really do check everything, though. When the paramedics arrived to pick me up, they immediately checked my blood sugar levels. It was running a little low, and they were quick to ask if I’d been following some specific diet or anything. I told them no—I've just been eating normally—but since the reading was low, now I'm left wondering what the actual number was
So, look, my symptoms are kind of hit or miss—they come and go. But my left foot, specifically the toes, has been feeling totally numb for over a week now.
Does this necessarily mean something serious is going on?
I’ve got everything ordered, but most of it won't arrive until late November—just my luck! -.- The one exception is the EEG, though; I should be getting that done very soon.
That sounds like a great plan. I’m going to dive right into this work immediately after lunch. 😉
I just stumbled upon an article online claiming there’s a high correlation between thyroid issues and multiple sclerosis, so I’m crossing that off my list of worries. At this point, it might just be a tumor.
Just wanted to let you all know that my thyroid results came back looking good. I have an EEG scheduled for September 8th, but if anything feels off before then, I'm heading straight to the hospital. 🙂
Thanks so much for the lovely wishes 🙂
Not exactly, but I’ve definitely navigated some other challenges that really shaped me into the positive person I am today 🙂

Look, did anyone actually give you advice? They told you to go to the ER. There really isn't any other way.

Yes, I know, and yes, I’ll go. Like I said earlier—you guys are totally skipping over my points here. I finish up my internship tomorrow, so if I have to, I'll just play sick and head straight to the emergency room. Five stars for that plan! But honestly, I also made it clear that a brain tumor isn't what's actually scaring me, which is why I wrote it that way, haha.
Honestly, I couldn't care less what you all think, I just came here looking for some actual, sensible advice... I tried telling my mom what you guys said, and she practically lost it on me. She started yelling about how I shouldn't fill her head with nonsense, and even threatened that if she gets another "attack" like that, she’s dragging me straight to the ER.
