The New York Knicks have their own Sammir Santana... J. R. Smith decided to ditch the club scene... huge win...
Apparently, the party’s over for New York Knicks shooting guard J. R. Smith.
NBA News—he's having one of the most impressive starts to his nine-year career, and this Thursday, he pointed to staying away from the nightlife as a major reason why.
“I’m not going to lie. The New York City nightlife pretty much got to me. I was going out pretty much every other night and not focused on the task at hand,” a candid Smith told reporters in San Antonio after the NBA News.
Smith noted that a more disciplined approach to practice has been the driving force behind the Knicks' perfect 5-0 start.
No Rodman... The Nets aren't going 10/10. For me, it's the bet of the month... that's their only real play, and I honestly don't see how they pull anything together without him—they're already struggling with their big men, and now the magic man is gone...
Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili shouldn't miss... you'll have the full scoop in about 20 minutes
Parker and Duncan are playing... Ginobili is questionable—warming up now...
The Lakers are without a real playmaker... if that's the case, the Spurs should be able to outsmart them and capitalize on the opening... Greg is far too smart to let a Lakers squad like that slip by.
Indiana vs Toronto 1 1.20 — after grinding through a tough stretch with a depleted roster against a rested opponent, a win feels like a solid play... the odds aren't exactly "massive," but anything else happening would be a total shock to me... I wouldn't touch the under on DeRozan or Bargnani in this one; either of them is hitting the over for my money. They both take plenty of shots—plus, DeRozan is playing lights out, and I didn't see much fatigue from Bargnani, who barely played defense but was efficient enough on offense...
Joe Johnson over 14.5 is a great bet in my eyes because the team is doing everything they can to "feed" him... he had an interesting one-on-one chat with the coach, and against a Cleveland team that easily gives up over 100 points, Johnson should easily chip in about 20... he’s a fantastic shooter, and it's about time he caught fire—especially with such a welcoming opponent... back when he was with Atlanta, he used to drop 20+ regularly...
Toronto is playing without Alan Anderson today... DeRozan over 17.5 looks like my best bet right now—the only two shooters they've got are DeRozan and Ross... which means 18+ attempts for DeRozan once you factor in free throws.
Regarding Houston... the head coach is stepping away for family reasons indefinitely... an assistant will step up to lead the squad
Houston Rockets Head Coach Kevin McHale will be taking an immediate leave of absence from the team to attend to a personal family matter. Assistant Coach Kelvin Sampson will handle head coaching duties during McHale’s time away. No return date has been set for McHale at this time.
“Kevin is a devoted family man who is needed back home in Minnesota,” said Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey. “The Rockets organization will keep Kevin and his family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
Arthur Hill2 said:I’m surprised nobody is pointing out that Chicago is somehow the favorite against Boston tonight. Honestly, taking those +2.5 points for Boston seems like a steal—especially since the Bulls are missing Kirk Hinrich (and obviously Derrick Rose), meaning Nata is going to have to log some heavy minutes because Teague hasn't really shown anything yet... and wasn't even supposed to see the floor this season.
Boston had a rough start, but they're finally playing like a real team with this new roster... though I'm not exactly betting the house on it. Personally, I'll take the two-point spread; the handicap is definitely the safer bet.
Anyway, good luck everyone tonight. 🙂
Boston's interior is a complete sieve... the Bulls could absolutely dismantle them there, and I don't see how the čajanka can stop it. They've struggled against teams with much weaker frontcourts than Chicago's, and I suspect Joakim Noah is just going to cruise through them today... for me, it's either a Bulls win or no bet.🤷
Tony Parker is officially OUT
Jackson, Boris Diaw, Tim Duncan, and Tony Parker are a mess... their availability is anyone's guess

Charlotte is missing their center, Haywood—averaging about 26.7 minutes, 9 rebounds, and 8.3 points per game...

Some news regarding the Los Angeles Lakers... they're without a coach now, and Ebanks is out there making questionable life choices... Bernie Bickerstaff will step in as interim for the matchup against Golden State tonight... initial rumors suggest the front office is looking at Mike D'Antoni, Brian Shaw, Jerry Sloan, or most notably, Phil Jackson...
Lakers forward Deven Ebanks was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI in Los Angeles early Friday Morning , according to law enforcement sources and booking Records
Ebanks, 23, was stopped by California Highway Patrol officers around 2:49 a.m. in the Hollywood area and processed at 3:44 a.m.
He was released later Friday morning after posting $5,000 bail. Interestingly, a post on his Twitter account Thursday afternoon was busy encouraging followers to celebrate a woman’s birthday Thursday Night AT Roxbury Night Club near Hollywood.
His next court appearance is set for Dec. 7, per the booking records.
Sam Amick was The First to report that Brown Has been fired as Head coach of The Los Angeles Lakers after a rough 1-4 start.
The Los Angeles Lakers confirmed the move shortly after with a blunt press release:
“This was a difficult and painful decision to make,” said Mitch Kupchak. “Mike was very hard-working and dedicated, but we felt it was in the best interest of the team to make a change at this time. We appreciate Mike’s efforts and contributions and wish him and his family the best of luck.”
Early whispers about who might replace Mike Brown include former Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni, former Lakers assistant (now with the Indiana Pacers) Brian Shaw, former Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan, and—most frequently mentioned—former Lakers coach Phil Jackson. However, LaMarcus Aldridge is reporting that Jackson isn't actually a serious contender.
Current Lakers assistant Bernie Bickerstaff will taka The reins on an interim basis When The Lakers host The Golden state Warriors tonight. Per Aldridge, the organization is still refining their shortlist of candidates... Bickerstaff might stay in the running, or he might not.
