So please, just post every single finding you have!!!
I get that, but what kind of results are we talking about? Like, the tumor pathology? Or even the older ones from before?
So, I just got my pathology results back regarding those polyps, and honestly, I’m feeling pretty lost. The measurements were 0.3x0.2x0.2 cm, plus another tiny slice at 0.2x0.1x0.1 cm. Apparently, there are elements of tumor tissue sitting right in the mucosa and parts of the submucosa. The location was about 10 cm from the rectum entrance, and the diagnosis came back as a Grade 1 neuroendocrine tumor—a typical carcinoid, I guess. Can anyone please tell me how serious this actually is? My doctor seemed either super nervous or just weirdly vague; he wouldn't give me a straight answer, just mumbled something about needing to monitor it. I have no idea what that even means. Does anyone know more about this? It says here that mitoses are rare (only 1-10 per HPF), and I tried to go back in to ask him for more details, but he had already rushed out of the exam room. It also mentions that the tumor tissue elements were found in both analyzed samples.
On top of all that, they also diagnosed me with chronic appendicitis, and the surgeon mentioned they’d be taking a quick look at the rest of my abdominal cavity during the procedure. If anyone has any info or has been through something similar, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.
