Nicole Nguyen34 said:Hey—so I just had my nose revision a few days ago, and honestly, it’s wild how much less it hurt this time around. They did the whole thing again—full osteotomy and all—but the bruising is barely even there, which totally caught me off guard! Now I just need to get rid of this cast 🙂
Ashley Young34 said:Nah, that’s not what I mean—every surgeon has their own specific way of doing things. I just like Smith because he handles that muscle specifically—in my case, it’s a necessary step, even if it might not be for you. 😁
I don't know—my face doesn't distort that much when I'm talking, but once I start laughing... man, looking at my photos is rough. I'm not sure which animal I'd compare myself to—maybe something with a beak? Honestly, when I'm just standing there normally, it isn't a total disaster... until I crack a smile.😁
😲Wait—so you're saying if I go see Johnson, only half the job actually gets done?! Donna Castillo7, what’s your take—since you're dealing with the same nose issues🤷?
Zachary Nguyen29 Asks: Just wanted to jump in on this discussion about muscle resection with Smith—that’s exactly what I’m looking into, too. My upper lip pulls at my nose whenever I talk, so that tip of my nose actually moves when I speak. 😁 Honestly, I'm just relieved that's finally getting taken care of—it'll be such a weight off my shoulders! 🙂
Does that mean my nose will still tilt downward when I smile—even after the correction—if they don't do that specific part of the procedure during surgery?
Donna Castillo7, I’m seriously so happy to hear you’re pleased with the results. My nose issue is identical to yours—it’s just way too long, especially with that little bump on top, and it feels endless whenever I laugh. You’ve truly given me the courage to go for it. Thanks! I’d be so grateful if you could shoot me a private message with some photos of your nose once the cast comes off! Oh, and can someone please explain that muscle cutting technique Smith does during the surgery?
Hey John Cox8, I couldn't help but crack up reading that part of your post—the bit where you described feeling so wired after surgery that you practically needed Midazolam just to chill out. Even though it’s definitely not funny in reality, it killed me because that is *exactly* how I felt right after getting a massive tattoo session. I totally relate to that frantic vibe—man, I can only imagine... That's pretty much my biggest fear right there.
Yeah, that’s the plan—I’m going to hit up both of them and just see how it goes. Quick question for everyone here who’s had nose surgery: did you experience any kind of shock when you finally saw yourself in the mirror afterward? I don't mean that immediate post-op look with all the swelling and bruising—I mean once you’ve actually recovered and you’re looking at "someone else" staring back at you?
Yeah, tell me about it. Just when I finally settle on one person to read up on, I find a post saying they totally ripped someone off—then I switch to someone else and it’s the exact same story. It honestly makes me want to just pull the plug and skip the whole thing, even though I want this surgery more than anything. My biggest fear—the thing that really gets to me—is looking in the mirror after it's all over and seeing something way worse than what I started with.
I am totally torn here—it’s a toss-up between Smith or Johnson. To be honest, the rhinoplasty options on Smith's website are more my style, but still...🤷 I clearly don't know what I'm doing. Is the pricing basically the same for both of them?
