Whereabouts are you from, if you don't mind me asking? 😁 I noticed you mentioned staying in an apartment during your trip.
When do you usually go to get those drains cleared, and where? Also, am I cutting it too close by waiting four months post-op to head in? Honestly, I’m just so swollen that trying to massage myself is a total nightmare... I try to remember to do it every couple of days, squeezing for maybe a minute or two, but it feels like it barely does anything at all.
stormyharbor2 said:Honestly, it looks like that’s just how your nose is shaped. 🤷 Even Peta has that little dip, though you can't really tell from the angles I used for my screenshots.

If it is... well, it's a bummer, but I'm actually pretty happy with how things turned out regardless. Anyway, the swelling hasn't fully gone down yet... there's still some puffiness on at least one side where something feels like it grew right on the cartilage... feels like a leftover bump or something. 🙂 That’s why I took that specific photo (the first one in the second row)—that’s my actual profile on that side, whereas the other side looks way flatter. I really need to get it checked out by the doctor soon...
jadedriver0 said:Did you end up doing the facial and nasal lymphatic drainage after your surgery👍, because Glumičić actually suggested I go through with it just to make sure I don't end up with any weird divots or bumps or anything like that?👍

I know this one girl who went to see Glumicic and he gave her the exact same advice, and honestly... her nose looks absolutely stunning now! I’m so jealous, I can't even deal. I have no idea why it didn't work out for me. Glusac told me I just need to be diligent about massaging it myself whenever I get a free second... he actually walked me through the whole technique.
jadedriver0... have you ever stopped to think that it’s way easier to tweak a nose that’s already halfway decent into something perfect, rather than trying to fix one that's huge, crooked, and totally wonky? Maybe life is just handing you some extra post-op pain as karma because you were feeling a little too cocky and decided to go under the knife when your nose was actually fine. Hahaha, please don't take that personally! 😁 Seriously though, there are tons of girls out there who would gladly deal with five times the pain you're feeling just to finally get rid of a nose that makes it impossible to breathe or just looks plain ugly.
P.S. Just so you know, I'm reading every single thing you guys post... very closely.
stormyharbor2 said:It’s not actually "indented" with an upward tip like yours; it's more just flat and slightly raised.

I totally get what you mean... she has that same look too. 😢 Though, honestly, when I give it a regular massage, that indentation isn't nearly as noticeable. My guy actually keeps doing it himself—he tells me he actually preferred the flatter profile he used to have. He’s constantly massaging it because, let's be real, I'm just not feeling it right now. 😁
I'm just crossing my fingers that the indentation smooths out once the swelling at the top finally goes down... because it still hasn't.
🙂

I can't find a perfect shot right now, but here

I think that’s more what her nose looked like back in season one. 🤣 It's cute, delicate, feminine, but doesn't look fake. Reminds me a bit of yours from the front, rustygardener172. 😁

Ugh... I just went down a Google rabbit hole... but man, it's tough. 😁 Her nose looks totally different in every single picture. From what I can gather... mine is a bit narrower and more rounded in profile... but yeah, she definitely has a pretty nose... obviously, just not in every photo.

stormyharbor2 said:I was basically riding the coattails of rustygardener172; she’ll know exactly what I mean.

Look, I knew you were jumping in after me. Even though... honestly, I didn't even mention you in my post. I wasn't even thinking about you while I was typing it out. We've been chatting since the early days of this forum, and I can't see any reason why I'd go out of my way to insult you. You mentioned once before that you're a perfectionist, and since perfection doesn't actually exist, I know life isn't easy for you. 😉Just kidding, obviously.
And of course I don't think women who are "submissive" should just be happy with whatever they get. Nobody here thinks that, I'm positive. You really should have read my post more carefully... I said there are women who go to a surgeon asking for SOME specific thing, and then once he does THAT thing, they find something else to be unhappy about. In my opinion, that isn't right.
It’s a massive deal when you ask a surgeon for a certain upturned nose, agree on that specific look, and then wake up with, say, a totally flat nose instead. It is absolutely not okay for a surgeon to lie to your face by promising to do something that he knows—right there in the middle of the consultation—he can't actually do because it won't fit your facial structure or whatever. There is zero excuse for paying someone just to lie to you. And naturally, those girls have every right to be pissed off with the end result. That was straight-up deception.

I also have to bring up jadedriver0... I really don't get why you stormed into this forum so aggressively. We all get that everyone's experience is unique, and you have every right to say yours was painful. But you also have to realize that for most of us here, the surgery—sorry, the recovery (don't get me wrong, Sophia Hill22 😁)—wasn't actually that painful at all.
On top of that, you immediately started venting about negative experiences and people being unhappy with their noses post-op.
Why so much negativity? Especially when you had your own procedure and you're actually happy with how it turned out. It would have been way more helpful if you'd just come here to share your journey and help others who are prepping for their own surgeries. That's literally the whole point of this thread. You should have told us about your surgery, how the recovery felt, and how much you love your new nose. Honestly... tell us, was it worth it? Did seeing the final result make you forget all about the recovery pain? Was it worth the investment?
That's what the girls here actually care about, not some back-and-forth bickering with other users or hearsay about what happened to someone else... because let's face it, nobody can speak for anyone else.
Sophia Hill22 said:It’s honestly starting to drive me up the wall when people clearly only skim the last couple of posts and then immediately start spamming questions about recommendations and prices. Look, if you actually care, do the work and scroll through the last twenty pages—or better yet, just read the whole damn thread.🙄

I am seriously losing my mind having to reply to the same exact private messages over and over again. So, please, for the love of God—read first, then ask if something is still unclear.

It’s like they have no clue the "find more posts by..." feature even exists.
If you see someone making a post that interests you and you want more details from them, do this: click on their username—let's say "Sophia Hill22"—then hit that option to "find more posts by Sophia Hill22." Only once you've exhausted everything they've already shared should you bother asking a question. Otherwise, you just look completely clueless, like, "Is everyone here out of their minds?!" 😕
Grace Thompson34 said:Does anyone know a solid surgeon who actually specializes in rhinoplasty in NYC? (And please, don't suggest Glumičić, Ostojić, or Kinčl)

I've heard people say Bastaić is pretty great. Honestly, I haven't heard a single bad thing about him yet.
Kate Taylor59 said:How can you even claim it hurts if you haven't actually gone through the surgery? For all I know, it doesn't hurt at all—it’s just uncomfortable, obviously...

Look, it doesn't hurt. Period. I’ve had two procedures done, and honestly, I didn't feel a single damn thing. It’s just that breathing through your mouth becomes a total nightmare, and you spend the whole time dying to rip off all those pads and bandages just so you can check the results and get back to living your life.😁

But hey, everyone's body reacts differently, right? Like, when I had my tonsils out, it absolutely wrecked me—the pain was unreal. Meanwhile, I knew people for whom it was basically nothing. And let's be real, the recovery from tonsillectomies changes as you get older; kids barely feel it, but for adults, it's a different story. Nose surgeries are pretty much the same deal every time.
loneridge3 said:Any girls out there who've had work done, could you please share some before and after pics? Or even just slide them into my DMs...

I am honestly having such a hard time deciding which surgeon to go with. Everyone keeps raving about Glumičić—he’s practically a celebrity in the news lately, and all the A-listers are apparently using him. But man, his fees are through the roof compared to everyone else. Ugh, does anyone have any recommendations for other doctors I should look into? I'm not actually from the States; I'm living abroad right now, so I want to make the most of my trip back home and get everything handled all at once. (And if you're wondering why I don't just do it where I am now... prices here range from $3,000 to $4,000. I don't think they're quite that high back home.) Thanks so much! 🙏

Sent... though it's not about Glumičić... so take a look.
I feel like I really need to jump in here and weigh in on all these posts... Look, nothing in this world is perfect, and your nose is no exception. There isn't a single surgeon out there, THERE ISN'T ONE, who can deliver a "perfect" nose. People mess up even in Photoshop... I mean, just a few days ago I was scrolling through Victoria's Secret's site and saw a model in a swimsuit where they clearly enhanced one breast but totally missed the other 😂—and we're talking about a massive global brand where you'd expect zero mistakes!
It really just comes down to people having either realistic or completely delusional expectations. The sooner you get your feet back on the ground and accept that, the better your surgical outcome will actually be.
Personally? I think my nose is gorgeous. Sure, if I stare at it in the mirror for too long, I can find a couple of things I’d change... but where does it end, people?! You can find an imperfection on absolutely anything or anyone...
Here’s an example: You go in for a rhinoplasty because you had a bump and it was too big or crooked... the doctor fixes it (because that’s EXACTLY what you asked for), BUT... suddenly you're unhappy again because when you look in the mirror, it looks wider than before, so you want another surgery to slim it down (even though it isn't actually wider—it just looks that way because it's shorter now and the bump is gone, so it's just an optical illusion... basic logic)... so the doctor does that too, BUT now that the bump is gone, it's smaller, straight, and narrower... you look at it and realize it would have looked better if the tip wasn't, I don't know, some weird shape... and it goes on forever. Then, after all that, you feel a tiny little bump—not even visible, just something you feel when you run your finger over it... and you lose your mind because after all those surgeries, all that recovery time, and all that wasted cash, you still have a bump on your nose?!?! So you're dissatisfied all over again, hunting for the next surgeon to fix that invisible bump. (This example isn't aimed at anyone specifically, and I'm definitely not trying to offend anyone dealing with similar issues. If it helps anyone... I actually have that invisible bump myself 😁 )
Try thinking about it like the grandfather paradox in time travel... you change one thing, and everything else shifts. One change triggers another. Except with nose surgery, you can eventually look at yourself and say: Okay, I’ve officially gone overboard, and it’s time I just learn to be happy with myself!! Because if you're still searching for flaws to justify another procedure... ask yourself... do you actually need a plastic surgeon? Because your dissatisfaction isn't really about your nose; the nose is just where the problem is showing up...PERIOD.
Kate Taylor59 said:Yeah, true... but once your health starts going downhill, nothing else really matters much anymore...

Honestly, I put my health first and let everything else slide... beauty was always just a side note for me.😁
Kate Taylor59 said:😲 she was crying 😢(now I'm low-key terrified...
so what, you can't even breathe for seven days straight? okayyy... guess my surgery isn't going to be anything special after all... but thanks for the heads up, I guess...

weaklings 😂
Carol Diaz31 said:So, I’m looking at my pre-op game plan, and it looks like I need to basically turn my pantry into a high-end pharmacy. I'm talking teas, honey, herbal sprays, eye drops... what else am I missing? What's the secret toolkit for getting ready before they roll you under the anesthesia? 😁

Honestly, if you’re dealing with some nasty swelling or a pounding headache, don't even bother with those cheap, flimsy little gel packs you find at the drugstore. I learned that the hard way last summer when I tweaked my shoulder trying to move some old furniture around my garage in Chicago—total rookie mistake. If you want actual relief, you’ve got to go old school or get the heavy-duty stuff. A bag of frozen peas from the grocery store actually works wonders because it molds to your body, unlike those rigid plastic bricks that just hurt more. Or, if you're feeling fancy, grab one of those high-end cooling wraps from a place like CVS. Just a heads up though: don't go slapping ice directly on your skin unless you want a frostbite lesson you didn't ask for. Wrap it in a thin towel first. Trust me, your skin will thank you later. 😁
Kate Taylor59 said:So, is it actually possible to breathe the day after getting those tampons removed?

Look, once they pull those things out, you’ll spend the first few seconds gasping for air like you’re trying to inhale through your eyeballs instead of your nose 🙂 but honestly... it just gets all stuffed up again within a couple of hours. You don't really start breathing normally again for about 7 days. It’s nothing life-threatening, though—you just get used to mouth-breathing like you have a nasty head cold. The only gross part is that weirdly sticky, crusty feeling in your mouth when you wake up in the morning.😂
Kate Taylor59 said:Can someone who’s actually gone through nose surgery please tell me—does the lining ever get that weird, itchy sensation? Like, is it just me or is it totally normal? :O

Honestly, I didn't feel a single itch. Nothing at all.
Sophia Hill22 said:Honestly, I’m not exactly itching to go crawling on the floor either😲

So, how long has it actually been for you? If you're feeling up to it, send over some new pics—I really want to see the progress and compare everything.

It's been about four months and a few days... just sent the photos over.😉
I just sat here taking selfies to compare them against my photos from two months post-op... and man, the difference is actually wild. My nose looks slimmer, the bridge is narrower, the tip is more dropped... basically, the whole thing just looks smaller and way more elegant 😂 I know, "elegant" is a pretty ridiculous word to use when talking about a nose, 🤣
stormyharbor2, you said you feel like yours isn't swollen anymore... girl, don't kid yourself. You’ll see it in another month or so. You can't really tell when you're staring at it in the mirror every single day. Two months ago, I was convinced I was totally healed... clearly, I was dead wrong 😁
mistyeagle4 said:And honestly, they just pull the exact same nose job on everyone—at least you know what kind of disaster you're getting.😁.

hahahahahahhahaha oh, absolutely!! hey, if someone actually wants that look, more power to them.😂
