I was wondering if any of you ladies out there have had to go through a secondary nose surgery—you know, the kind where the first procedure basically left things a mess or just didn't meet your expectations, so you had to bite the bullet and go back under the knife? If you actually ended up happy with the results of your revision, would you mind sending me some recommendations for that "savior" doctor via private message or just posting them here? On the flip side, I’d also love to know which surgeons I should steer clear of at all costs!

Also, if you're feeling comfortable, could you please send some before and after photos to my inbox if you're satisfied with your second surgery? Thanks so much in advance! 🙂🙂
steelangler88 said:I was just sitting here wondering if anyone else in this group has gone through it—you know, those who had nose surgery back in the day, maybe five, ten, even twenty years ago? I’m really curious to hear from people who aren't just dealing with the immediate recovery, but who have lived with the results for decades now. Does it hold up over time? Is there anything you wish you’d known back then? I'd love to hear some long-term perspectives if anyone is willing to share.
So, I was sitting here wondering—does anyone else ever just stop and think about how much the whole concept of wearing a watch has shifted over the years, both in terms of how they actually work and just how they look on a wrist? It’s funny when you really get into it, isn't it? I mean, we went from these purely functional tools that were basically survival gear for navigating the day to these massive, flashy statements of status that sometimes feel like they barely belong on a human arm anymore. If anyone out there has been around long enough to have seen the evolution firsthand—maybe you remember the days of thin, elegant mechanical pieces before everything became a chunky digital powerhouse or a high-tech smartwatch—I’d love to hear your take. What’s been your experience with the changing tides of horology? Is it all just aesthetic fluff now, or is there still some real substance left in the craft? Please, do share your stories if you've got them.🙂

I had my nose done about seven years ago, and honestly, ever since that surgery, my sinuses have been acting up way more than they ever did before—I never used to have these issues in my life. It’s like my body just changed; whenever the temperature drops, it’s always my left nostril that starts running like a faucet, never the right one, and I can actually feel this tiny little indentation where the bump used to be, which feels wider than it was originally. But then again, I suppose I'm a bit of an outlier here because I went in thinking I was just getting a minor bump removed, only to end up with a nose that looks like it belongs to a heavyweight boxer? Looking back, I didn't exactly do my homework on the surgeon, which was my own fault, I guess—just one of those "young and reckless" mistakes you make when you aren't thinking long-term. Now, there is absolutely no way I would ever step foot in his office again. I’m currently on the hunt for some truly elite specialists who actually excel at secondary rhinoplasty, though it’s proving to be incredibly difficult to find someone trustworthy. Does anyone out there have actual experience dealing with revision rhinoplasty, specifically for those really complicated, high-stakes cases? If you do, please, for the love of God, send some recommendations my way. I’ve reached a point where I just don't have any faith left in the medical community, especially since every single doctor I've consulted since then immediately looks at me and asks, "Who on earth performed your surgery?" as if the disaster is written all over my face. 🙂
Kate Taylor59 said:Yesterday, my boyfriend and I were watching this segment on the Red Carpet about nose jobs, and they actually showed parts of the surgery itself. Good grief, if I hadn't nearly fainted right then and there... I had to turn it off immediately because it was just absolutely gruesome...😲
and honestly, seeing that really got me wondering if I could actually handle the whole ordeal myself...

I’ve definitely been down that rabbit hole of thinking the same thing... until my doctor looked at me and said, "Look, once we get you under anesthesia, we could practically take your head off and you wouldn't feel a thing." HAHAHA!

AND HE WASN'T KIDDING!! 😁 I didn't feel a single thing. ☕
So seriously, don't even sweat it; you won't have any clue what's happening while you're out cold. 😂
Carol Diaz31 said:For me, it’s actually even more noticeable first thing in the morning when I wake up, like it's even bigger than usual😂

So, I’ve basically read through everything you all have posted, and honestly, I’ve gone over it in my head a hundred times... but here goes nothing, I guess—whatever happens, happens...😁

So, which doctor did you end up choosing?
wearyotter112 said:Wait, hold on a second... what exactly is the explanation for all this? My guy doesn't have a clue, so I figured I'd check in here to see if any of you folks actually know what's going on...😂

My guy keeps telling me that this is totally normal right after sleeping, insisting it’ll just fade away as the day goes on—and honestly, that’s been his go-to line every single day. Well, here we are, five years later, and it hasn't changed one bit! Hahahahahahah
I’m telling you, it’s exactly like that feeling when you first wake up and catch a glimpse of your own face in the mirror—you know, that raw, unvarned version of yourself before the world gets its hands on you? I mean, you probably get what I'm getting at, right?😁
wearyotter112 said:Five years after surgery? Seriously? Five... years? Oh my god... Hahahahahahahahahahaha... honestly, what else am I supposed to do but laugh? It’s better than just sitting here breaking down in tears, right?

Honestly, what you're feeling is totally normal. Think about it this way: you know how when you first wake up in the morning, your whole face feels kind of puffy and swollen, like you've been inflated overnight? And then, after a few hours, everything just settles down and deflates? Well, your nose does the exact same thing. Whether it's been five months since your procedure or five years—it doesn't matter—that fluctuation is just part of the process. Das ist normal, trust me!😉
wearyotter112 said:I totally forgot to mention that my nose feels super swollen, almost like a lighthouse, right when I wake up in the morning, but then it just settles down and deflates throughout the day..... has anyone else dealt with this??

Oh, me! Me too! 😁 Honestly, I’ve just gotten used to it at this point... One morning I’ll wake up looking perfectly fine, and the next, I'm all puffy... It swells up whenever it feels like it, haha. And since my surgery about five years ago—yeah, it's been a while—it's actually been pretty fine, really fine.😁 It seems pretty normal to me, how it just subsides as the day goes on.🙂
Karen Ross84 said:Of course it bothers me, because I can barely breathe out of one side—honestly, I feel like I’m not breathing at all.
Now I'm left wondering, since I went in for my appointment today, but he didn't mention surgery at all, just told me to come back in a month once we get some imaging done... so does he eventually bring it up himself, or am I going to have to be the one to ask him?

Who exactly were you seeing, an ENT or a plastic surgeon? I'm assuming it was the first one?
Karen Ross84 said:So, my nasal pyramid seems shifted to the right, and I’ve got this right-sided septal deviation along with some hyperemic mucosa—what do you all think about that?
da do I actually need surgery for this?

Well, honestly, it really just comes down to you, doesn't it? From a purely physical standpoint, does it bother you visually, or is it something you don't even notice? But from a functional perspective—if you're actually struggling to breathe or if it's causing you regular issues, then it's probably better to get it sorted out now, because once you reach your later years, being able to breathe clearly through your nose becomes one of those absolute essentials, wouldn't you agree?😁
Megan Flores42 said:Yeah... I'm getting that exact same vibe from them.
The profile shots look incredible, but when you actually see them in person? It’s like there's zero difference at all...

I told ya...😁
silentotter99 said:Honestly, girls, my heart just breaks whenever I hear that someone isn't happy with their results after pouring so much money and emotional energy into it. 😢
I’m actually planning on having my own procedure very soon, and honestly, the anxiety is real—I've been looking at Ostojić, but now I'm second-guessing everything... It really does feel like a total roll of the dice, doesn't it?

jadehawk83, would you be open to sharing some before and after photos so we can see the actual transformation, or maybe just send them to me via DM? I would truly appreciate it. 🙂

As for him, what’s certain is that he tends to create those dainty, cute little noses with a pretty profile, though they can come out looking a bit wide from a front view. Just a heads-up, though—take a look at his gallery. My own nose is more of a "chubby," if you know what I mean, definitely on the wider side.😁
rustygardener172 said:and then there's the whole thing about 😁—not that I’m saying you did anything wrong, obviously, but isn't it common knowledge that lymphatic drainage can really help speed up the recovery process after surgery?...
are you planning on going back for a revision, or have you just decided to embrace that wide nose of yours?

I'll definitely go for a second one, once I manage to scrape together enough courage and actually find someone in the medical field I can trust!😂 p.s. the first time you undergo a procedure, let's be honest, you tell yourself it'll look better than before; if it was too long, maybe now it'll be shorter. But a second surgery? That requires a whole different level of bravery, doesn't it? You're walking into it full of dread and skepticism. Like, I might want to slim down the bridge or reduce that little bump, but then I start spiraling—what if the tip ends up looking all pointy and unnatural, or way too narrow, to the point where it looks absolutely eerie? A second operation is pure nerves and trembling hands.
And honestly, after that first one, things always change, your face looks different, but that doesn't mean you're suddenly 100% happy with the result.
Trust me!
Megan Moore76 said:Haha, oh come on, I find it hard to believe things are actually *that* bad 😁. But, obviously, it’s totally gutting when you don't end up happy with the results after putting in all that work 😢

Could you send me some before & after photos whenever you feel like snapping them? 🙂

It really isn't *thaaaaaat* bad, though, because let's be honest—puppies are just precious little creatures, aren't they? 😁
I've just kind of accepted that everything is a mess now. 😁 What really gets under my skin is my wide nose and that little bulbous tip... I mean, seriously, I look like a clown! 😵
rustygardener172 said:and regarding the recovery, 😁 I don't mean to imply you're at fault here, obviously, but isn't it just common knowledge that lymphatic drainage really helps speed things up after surgery...
are you looking for a second opinion, or have you actually grown fond of that wide nose of yours?

I’m heading to Vienna for a new nose; I mean, some people travel for designer clothes, but me? I’m strictly on a mission for a new nose! Hahaha! Honestly, I once saw this girl who had a nose that was just... well, a disaster, whether it was too long, bumpy, or hooked like an eagle—you wouldn't believe what kind of NOSE she has now.🙏 Seriously, after just one single procedure, they did such an incredible job!🙏 It's so small, slim, and straight, exactly how it should be. She looks like a doll now. I have never seen a nose quite like that back home in the States.😁 She walked away with a truly world-class nose!😁 But hey, we still have those old-school regional habits, right?😁 Unfortunately, I don't know which specific surgeon she used, but I'll try to dig around and find out. Personally, I would travel halfway around the globe just to get the perfect nose on the first attempt. So, ladies, please don't just look at Washington, D.C., simply because it's close to you. You can easily spend a night in a different city if it means getting it right.😁 Now, is it more expensive? Yes, absolutely. Whether it's Vienna or Monterey (where our dear princess had her surgery, and I suspect she doesn't regret spending a single cent), it's better to wait ten years for the right budget than to rush in and end up with a botched nose in a year or two.👎 I see there's a huge demand for photos.😁So, I'm asking everyone who wants to see the before and after shots to please send a request to my private email.☕
Megan Moore76 said:Man, jadehawk83, you’re a total legend; at least you can laugh at your own nose, seriously, mad respect 🙂! I honestly have no clue how he managed to make it look that wide... did he get some kind of lift done?

Ugh, obviously. I mean, who actually stays clean all the time? hahaha😂
rustygardener172 said:How on earth is that even possible?! Why?! I just don't get it...
How much time has actually gone by since the surgery? Because if they had to break bones to fix things... you get that callous formation at the fracture site, and it makes the nose look way wider than it really is... but that swelling and bone regrowth usually settles down within a year. If it hasn't been that long yet, maybe just hang tight for a bit... My own nose looked incredibly wide right after my procedure... but even now, just a month out, it's already returning to its normal shape... getting thinner and thinner... basically going back to how it used to be. Honestly, I feel like it might even end up being thinner than it was before 😁
Have you been massaging it regularly?

Oh, please, please... except it's been six whole years... And yes, I did massage it. Do you really think it's my fault that my nose is wide?? HHAHAHHAA😂
Nancy Perez74 said:I feel physically sick right now—I was just scrolling through a few pages and saw girls complaining about how John Smith completely ruined them... and I have my surgery scheduled in just a couple of days...
I’ve read some truly terrifying things... so I really should say something to him, shouldn't I?? I can't exactly pretend I haven't seen any of this. Oh man, I feel so lightheaded and uneasy now, what on earth am I supposed to do???

Honestly, I feel sick every single day when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror because of this WIDE NOSE! 😁 It used to be slim, but my husband somehow managed to make it look much broader! Well, at least he took care of the hump, so I have a lovely profile now (there's that little consolation prize). But from the front? I can't even laugh, because the moment I do, my nose just spreads out even more!🙄 God help me for choosing him as my surgeon!👎 And sure, he’s a nice guy—charming, talkative, easygoing, really top-notch personality-wise—but when it comes to widening a nose, nobody knows what he's doing. In my opinion, about 80% of patients end up with this result under his knife, and if you just go to his website and look at the gallery, you'll see the front views are just terrible. It might be too late for you now, but either reconsider everything or explicitly tell him you want a NARROWER NOSE (meaning you don't want it wider than it currently is), and just take the risk!🤷 And really, what exactly would you say to him? Are you going to leave negative comments about his skill? If that's the case, he already knows; he can just hop onto a forum and read about himself. 🙂If you were thinking about telling him you don't want him to disfigure you... well, I don't know... he'll probably just tell you what he tells everyone, including me: "Don't worry, everything will be fine." What else is he supposed to say? 🙂Are you asking if the surgery won't work? He certainly isn't going to tell you that. 🙂And your nose will look its absolute best only once they take the cast off—it'll look beautiful and small then—but once that initial phase fades... my experience hasn't been great. As far as the surgery itself goes, it's actually quite painless; the only annoying part is having to breathe through your mouth for a few days, and having the packing removed was a bit uncomfortable, but other than that, zero pain. My profile looks great, but he totally messed up the front view; my nose looks wider than before, which is so frustrating because it was actually quite slim originally, and I didn't want to change anything about the front view, I just wanted him to remove that hump that was ruining my profile and my overall face. 🙂 My nose isn't ugly, per se, but logically, if it was slim before, it should stay slim (or become even narrower if that's what someone wants), not wider than it started. On top of that, I feel like he removed the hump but left these two bumps on the sides, which makes the whole thing look even broader. I have no idea what he was doing—breaking bones and repositioning them—but I'm just not a fan of his technique. So, that's my experience. I'm sure there are positive stories out there, but I wonder what the ratio is compared to these bad ones. I really hope you have better luck than I did. And hey, if you want, I can send you my before and after photos just so you can compare. 🙂 P.S.—The irony is just unreal... I used to run away from being photographed in profile because of the hump, and now I avoid being photographed from the front because my nose is so wide I look like a clown. I'm constantly looking left and right, trying to find the right angle... HHAHAHHAA😉
