steelangler88 said:I suppose I’ve been a difficult case from the very start because my situation was just so complicated—congenital issues, missing cartilage in certain areas, a deviated septum, a soft tissue tumor, and all that. In my opinion, the surgery itself was performed well enough, but I suspect it’s going to take quite a bit of work to actually get everything looking right, especially considering the first operation was pretty mediocre. Besides, you really can't tell how things will settle until some time has passed. I haven't seen any drastic changes yet, and as for what happened to the tip... I honestly don't know. Maybe they had to adjust it because of that cartilage issue.🤷 It’s a bit unsettling, I guess, but I'm trying to believe everything will turn out okay.

I dealt with the exact same thing—not having enough cartilage and dealing with that drooping nose effect. Right now, it looks fine from the profile when I smile, but looking straight on, it still seems to be drooping. What’s weird is that I feel like my entire face is being pulled down along with it; my cheeks and lips seem to be dragged downward and outward whenever I laugh. Because of that, I’m starting to doubt if there’s even any way to fix it.🤷

I mean... after that whole ordeal, I'm worried. I'm not just nitpicking for the sake of it.😂
steelangler88 Honestly, everything looks totally fine to me, especially the tip... you can clearly see it’s been lifted and sits a bit higher than before, which is how I'd want it too. If it were lower, I think it would look pretty bad on me 🤷
Elizabeth Collins5 said:🤷 Honestly, I don't know about this, but to me, it looks like a blatant Photoshop job rather than an actual nose job. It just doesn't look real.

It’s definitely Photoshop. I mean, look at the photo—it is absolutely identical to the previous one in every single other detail. The makeup, the eyebrows, the hair, the headband, even the earrings... everything is exactly the same. The only thing that actually changed is the nose. It's just too obvious. 🙂

I can't see an image attached to your message, so I have no idea what you're trying to show me. If there was supposed to be a photo here, it didn't come through. Maybe the link is broken? Or maybe it's just one of those things where nothing works when you actually need it to. I guess I'll just sit here waiting, though I doubt anything is going to happen. Please try uploading it again if you actually want a response.

I can't see an image attached to your message, so I have no idea what you’re trying to show me. If this was supposed to be some kind of visual proof or a photo related to our previous discussions, it didn't come through. Maybe it's a technical glitch with the link, or maybe it just didn't upload correctly? I guess I'll just sit here waiting, though I'm not exactly thrilled about it. Please try uploading it again properly so we can actually get somewhere with this conversation.

Once I get a little more swelling down and finally figure out how to deal with this glare, I’ll actually be able to take some decent photos where you can see my full face from the front. This shot was taken just two weeks after the surgery.

That looks absolutely wonderful!👍
Kimberly Baker13 said:I don't mind the actual surgery itself, I really don't. But that moment when they finally pull the mold off... man, just thinking about it makes my stomach turn. It’s honestly nauseating.

Just be ready for the possibility that you might feel totally crushed at the exact moment you pull the mold off... honestly, I felt like I was losing my mind when I saw my own results because everything looked just plain disgusting. It’s gut-wrenching. But, I guess eventually you get over it and things settle down. 😉
Sarah Myers21 said:Thanks. Honestly, there's one thing weighing on my mind—plastic surgeons don't offer any kind of guarantee, right? Like, what happens if some sort of deviation occurs? What assurance do I have that the same doctor will actually help me fix it, rather than just charging me for a whole separate procedure? Does anyone have experience with this? Is there such a thing as a surgeon who actually offers a guarantee?

Most plastic surgeons—not all of them, but most—are also specialists in Otolaryngology, so I guess your only real "guarantee" is choosing a specialist instead of just a general aesthetic surgeon. Though, even then, it isn't really a guarantee because, let's face it, no surgery is ever entirely risk-free.

As for those lawsuits where people claim someone ruined their nose, I honestly think patients rarely see any real outcome from that. Before you even go under the knife, you have to sign a consent form, and by signing, 👋 you're basically accepting the terms. If legal action actually worked easily, everyone would be suing just to get follow-up procedures for free.

So, really, it comes down to this: either you accept the risk—which is minimal if you have realistic expectations and find a solid surgeon—and you move forward... or you just don't do it. 🤷
Elizabeth Wells10 said:Oh, Carol Diaz31! Honestly, because of you and what happened with Tončić, I’m actually considering him now. I know we have—well, we had 😁—very similar nose shapes, and I think the way he worked on yours turned out absolutely perfect.
I had no idea you dealt with cartilage issues! I mean, since you had some leftover tissue from your previous hump, he was able to utilize that. I don't have a hump, and that whole thing about taking cartilage from behind the ear sounds just... awful. I don't think I could ever go through with that... 😢

But if he can just work with the existing tissue, then fine by me. I honestly thought this whole process was incredibly complicated... but I guess your new nose is living proof that it doesn't have to be...
So, I suppose that's another point in Tončić's favor... lol
I'm planning to go in for consultations with both him and Davor Džepina, and then I'll just see which one feels like a better fit for me...

Maybe they have other methods available? You should probably just ask them directly. But in any case, I really think it’s better to get it done properly so the tip stays exactly where they set it, rather than having it drop again down the road. And honestly, using your own transplanted cartilage seems much better than whatever synthetic stuff they might try to shove in there. Besides, it's a relatively small amount of tissue anyway. 😁

I'm not sure if you've seen this, but there's a bit more info on the subject here: http://www.toncic.net/en/kirurski-za...-nose-tip/
Elizabeth Wells10 said:I haven't seen anyone mention getting just their nostrils operated on specifically. I mean, I think I actually need a full rhinoplasty—like, a total nose reshape—but my tip is what really stands out. It points downward, and whenever I laugh or even just talk, my nostrils flare so much; I can clearly see I lack the cartilage others have (I read somewhere that in those cases, they might have to trim the muscle under the nose??). From a profile view, it looks pointy, though I think it could be fixed up nicely. But honestly, it's that stupid tip that's bothering me.

Haha, I don't have my phone on me right now to snap a quick pic of just my nose, but if you want, I can send over some actual photos. If you're interested, just shoot me a DM. 🙂

And that whole cartilage grafting thing? I’m not feeling it at all. I mean, obviously, I'll weigh all the options carefully, but off the bat, that doesn't sound great to me. What if it doesn't take or if there are complications... it sounds incredibly risky to me.

I had the exact same issue—not enough cartilage, a prominent tip that pointed down, looked too pointy and all that—and they did a great job shortening it. They filled it out using cartilage taken from when they removed my dorsal hump (even though you usually take it from behind the ear... but since they already had the extra material there, they used it), and it looks perfectly fine now.
So, I don't think you should be so skeptical about the grafting process. 👍
Emily Martinez12 said:what do you mean by that? honestly, I don't have a clue either🤷

just one more question for everyone here—how long did it actually take you guys to finish all the prep work and tests for surgery? and I mean, if you didn't go to some fancy private clinic where everything is wrapped up in a few days, but instead went through the standard hospital system..

So, you head to your primary care doctor to get a referral for the hospital (since in most local clinics, one of the three required tests is always unavailable—I think it was a blood count or something, but I'm not entirely sure, and frankly, it doesn't matter right now), then you show up at the hospital usually by 8:30 AM at the latest—anyone arriving after that gets sent home because their results won't be processed in time—and then, within two days, you have your results in hand.😉
Rachel Fisher97 said:Thanks, stormyharbor2. I honestly thought you only dealt with general anesthesia. I mean, I guess that’s not exactly a catastrophe... but the physical restraints? That's a whole different story. 😲

Of course they’re going to tie your hands behind your back. I mean, isn't that just how the whole system works? They set you up to fail before you even get started. It's almost predictable at this point. ☕ Back when I was stuck in the hospital for an extended stay, I remember how many of the older nurses would spend the entire night tying patients down. It’s because once you come out of general anesthesia, hallucinations aren't exactly a foreign concept to them. They've seen it all before. 😁 I mean, they’ll basically try anything at this point—from pulling out IV lines to all sorts of other stuff—but I guess they claim it’s all for your own safety. 😉
Rachel Fisher97 said:I guess I just got caught. 😁
So, I have this weird question... do they actually put you on that machine where you can hear your own heartbeat? 😛
And one more thing—do you know if they keep that needle in your hand during the surgery? You know, the one they put in your vein? I guess I'm just wondering how that whole setup works.
I think I know exactly what's going through your head right now... Honestly, she’s probably watched way too many movies and thinks this is all just some scripted drama, but for me? Every single little detail matters. It actually eats at me. Everything about it just keeps weighing on my mind.
Yeah... well, thanks for putting up with me. 😁

So, they strap you to that machine... and once the surgery is over, that’s your new reality. You’re stuck on it. I remember lying there, just listening to the rhythm of it, letting myself drift off into sleep. But then, right as I'm fading out, I start noticing how the clicking gets slower and weaker. It happens so gradually that I actually start thinking, "Maybe this is it. Maybe I'm dying," only to snap wide awake a second later. It's unsettling, honestly. 😁🤣😂
Kate Taylor59 said:Guys, I’m finally back... honestly, massive props to Dr. Dzepina and the entire incredible staff.
I was bleeding quite a bit, which I think left the doctor feeling a little disappointed at first, but once he actually looked inside my nose, he saw the deviation on the left side and took care of that too. He did a whole bunch of stuff for me—no pain at all, though my throat feels incredibly dry right now and it’s driving me absolutely crazy, but hey... the anesthesia was perfect! 🙂

Who would even believe I actually went through with it? I’m such a total coward, seriously xD

So what if you are? You'll always be our resident little scaredy-cat. 😍
I'm just so glad everything went smoothly!!👍
Ashley Gomez said:I've got this constant irritation at the tip, you know? Has any of you dealt with that? And my nose and... well, everything else is just itching under this mold and these tampons. 🙄 Honestly, retail therapy is the only thing keeping me sane right now; I guess the recovery might actually end up costing me more than the surgery itself. 😁 People give me these weird looks in the aisles, but whatever, I really don't care. 🙂

Kate Taylor59, you still alive there?

haha, so you're heading out for some shopping, huh?😁 Respect. 🤣
It’s perfectly normal to be itching when you've got that mold and those bandages pressed against you.😉
Kate Taylor59 said:Yeah... I mean, it's basically just like going to the dentist! And dentists do all sorts of stuff... they perform surgery on your jaw and everything...
I'm getting up early tomorrow... my surgery is at 9 AM... wish me luck! I'll check back in later, assuming I don't end up throwing myself off a balcony from the sheer stress of it all LOL

Don't go throwing yourself anywhere, especially not after surgery—you'll probably just break your nose!! 😂
Ashley Gomez said:Thanks!!!
I had general anesthesia, and I was actually really satisfied with the whole team under Dr. Bastaic. There were about five of them with me during the surgery, and then a nurse stayed by my side through the night.
As far as the anesthesia goes, I was just sleepy for a few hours; I didn't have a sore throat, I could get to the bathroom on my own, no dizziness, no nausea...

I am honestly so glad everything went smoothly for you; please keep us posted on how your recovery progresses.🙂

Rachel Fisher97 said:Girls, here is one more for you, ehehhehe

They seriously need to pass a law to ban this kind of thing.😳
Linda Wilson82 said:Sweeties, I have been staring at myself in the mirror all morning and I just can't stop... my nose looks absolutely gorgeous and it seems to be getting smaller every single day!!!!!!!!! I am just so incredibly happy that I had to share my joy with you all, hahahaaa🙂🙂🙂

😍Who did you go to for the surgery? I'd love to see a picture if you have one.🙂
Linda Wilson82 said:Carol Diaz31, that’s awesome! Honestly, my nose was pretty similar to yours before I went under the knife. It’s been about five weeks and five days since my surgery, and if I’m being totally honest, the only thing that's still getting under my skin is the width of the bone on the sides. Everything else turned out great... really, everything. I guess I'm just hyper-focused on it. How long has it been since your procedure? And when did that width finally start to slim down for you?

It’s been about four months for me now. That width issue... honestly, after maybe two or two and a half months, it finally stopped being something I could actually notice. It was just constant, and I have to say, it felt absolutely terrible. I was counting down the days, just desperately waiting for it to finally go away.

Megan Moore76 said:I have to say, I’m actually a fan of Carol Diaz31's nose. 🙂He really leveled it out perfectly. It’s just right—not too high, not sitting too low either. I guess he actually nailed the alignment this time.

Thanks. 🙂 That’s exactly what I was getting at—I specifically said I wanted a flat top, not something lifted. After having such a low profile before, a raised look would have just looked ridiculous on me. So, it’s fine where it is now, and honestly, I just want it to stay exactly like this. 😁

Kate Taylor59 said:I guess I'm heading in for surgery this coming Tuesday or Wednesday. 🙂

Come on, good luck!!
stormyharbor2 said:Honestly, I’ve completely lost track of who’s actually footing the bill and who’s just showing up to drink. It’s getting ridiculous. Just send over some photos so we can finally figure out who actually has what and who's looking to get something.🤣

Ashley Gomez said:I was thinking I might also ask for some photos of those new outfits... you know, just so I have something to stare at whenever I start feeling like giving up on my surgery. 🙏

I’m going to send this out to all of you for two specific reasons:

I guess you could say I get hit with this massive wave of pure happiness every single time I look back at my old nose in those photos I send out. It's hard to explain, really. Maybe it's just nostalgia, or maybe I'm just being dramatic, but it honestly hits me every time. 😂

I just want to hear people tell me how much they love my new nose for once. Honestly, I’m so sick of hearing about how ugly the old one was. 😂
Elizabeth Wells10 said:White Window, please, sign me up too... 🙂

Carol Diaz31, let me just offer you another huge congratulations on that gorgeous nose. Honestly, I think Tony might actually see a spike in interested patients after those photos of yours drop, even if he does use that local anesthesia of his... 🙂

Hidden Danke😍

Maria Hall92 if you end up sending any more photos, send them my way too. I'm genuinely curious to see how it all looks. 🙂
rustygardener172 said:...regarding that...Carol Diaz31...did you ever send me that photo? 😁

No, I haven't yet, but here it is 🙂
amberbadger81 said:Carol Diaz31, which doctor was it that you saw again? I feel like I’ve read about this somewhere already, but my brain is just totally blanking on it! If you don't mind me asking, would you mind sharing a photo too??

Alright, I'm sending it over... I was just hanging out at Tony's place.

urbanowl13 said:Honestly, it’s just my finances that keep holding me back at this point. I don't even have a credit card to take advantage of those monthly installment plans, and whenever I actually manage to set some money aside... well, I just end up blowing it on something else entirely. It's a cycle, I guess. Maybe I'll get it figured out eventually, but right now, it's just one thing after another.
I was wondering about how things work over at Tony’s place—do they only take cash, or can you actually use a card there?
If there happens to be any girl out there who was over at Tony's place and feels like sending me a photo, please feel free to do so. :-)

Setting aside the whole surgery situation for a second, I have this massive issue where I just cannot seem to save any money if it’s actually sitting in my hands. It’s like... I don't know, maybe it's just how I'm wired? If I keep cash at home or even just tucked away in my wallet, something always comes up. There is always some random, unexpected expense that pops out of nowhere, and suddenly that money is gone. I guess the only way it actually works for me—if you can even call it working—is to move it straight into a savings account at the bank. Once it's tucked away in a formal account, I usually don't touch it. It’s the only way I can stay disciplined, I suppose. Money in the bank or it's gone. That's just the reality for me. 😁
I guess you can also just pay him in cash if that's easier. 😉

Sophia Harris96 said:God, I am just so incredibly fed up with this damn elementary school. Honestly, it’s beyond frustrating at this point.
They really shouldn't have messed with me... I mean, I've got older brothers looking out for me. ☕
And honestly, I was basically the MVP of the playground back in elementary school, so where else am I going to get any real respect? Hehe. 😁

Your nose looks ridiculous. I mean, what even is that? 😍

Thanks again. 😍

So, everyone ended up making jokes about my nose later on, which was just great. But honestly? Now, if anyone even thinks about getting too close to me, I tell them to back off—otherwise, they’re going to have to foot the bill for a brand new one. 😛

urbanowl13 says:
I mean, I’ve been wondering—for those of you who actually went through with the surgery, were you completely miserable about your nose beforehand? Like, totally obsessed with it? I’m trying to figure out if that fixation actually disappears once it's done. You know what I mean—does your confidence just skyrocket immediately? Do you finally feel pretty and just... satisfied?
I honestly hate my nose (and I'm not just being dramatic, it is genuinely quite ugly), and I’m terrified that even after I get it fixed, I'll still be stuck with this weird obsession over it!
🙂
I remember it so clearly—the day in fourth grade when I first really looked at my nose. I was walking down the hallway to get a snack, and this older boy just pointed right at me and started yelling, "Look how huge her nose is!" 😁 Needless to say, from then on, I either avoided going to the cafeteria entirely or I’d just sprint through the halls to get it over with. 😕

Over time, I eventually made peace with it, though I was definitely unhappy with it. It wasn't that I was having mental breakdowns or crying myself to sleep every night, per se... I just didn't like it. That was basically it.

And yeah, now that the surgery is done, I am completely happy with the results. I just wanted a normal-looking nose, and since my expectations were realistic, I ended up getting even more than I hoped for. There isn't any reason for me to be obsessed with it in a negative way anymore, other than the fact that I absolutely love it now. 😍... I don't go looking for flaws; if there are any, I honestly can't see them.
I always knew I was pretty, I guess, but now I feel truly stunning. 😂😂😂

Girls, I'm posting some photos. 😉
mellowraven93 said:I'm curious... people say they mostly don't even notice you had nose surgery. They just think you look better, but they can't quite put their finger on why—at least, not those who aren't already aware you went in for a correction. What kind of experiences have you guys actually had with that?

That was pretty much my experience most of the time... some people didn't notice at all (or at least they didn't say anything), while others would just tell me I looked different, but they couldn't figure out what it was... and then once I actually said, "Wait, you really can see it!!" 😁
Though, I guess the vast majority of people I hang out with knew I was going in for the procedure.
And for those who think they won't notice a difference, they usually only realize it once they look back at old photos. 😲

Sophia Harris96 said:Okay, okay, don't start posting pictures... 😁 I have to admit, I am just incredibly nosy... for example, I'd love to see how a doctor fixed someone's bridge or tip... because I'm genuinely interested, I want to see... since everything you find on Google feels so... I don't know, uniquely American... so I'm curious about how Americans' noses actually look after being fixed... and it's not like I'm rushing to get it done myself just to match them, because we're all individuals... but I'm telling you, I wouldn't get my nose done right now, even though I've thought about it—honestly, I'm still thinking about it as I write this... and you never know how a 'doc' will turn out in the future... but it would be helpful to see. 😛as I said above: 😉 hopefully my curiosity doesn't get the death of me, haha. Good luck with everyone else's recoveries!!! You guys are brave!

Well, that's how I decided to go through with it too... maybe it wouldn't work out, and honestly, most of my hesitation came from that exact "personality trait" you mentioned... ☕ ...so I kept second-guessing myself, until I realized I was just going to keep obsessing over it whether I did it or not, so I figured, fine, I'll just do it now. 😁
And since your curiosity is killing you, I'll send you some photos via DM, because I used to have a really long nose.
I suppose I should probably address this now before things get even more out of hand. It feels like we’re just circling the drain at this point, doesn't it? I mean, maybe I'm being too cynical, but looking at how everything is unfolding, it’s hard not to feel a certain level of frustration. Everything seems so incredibly disorganized lately. It’s almost as if nobody is actually paying attention to the details that matter. I was thinking about what Sophia Booth35 mentioned earlier, and honestly, I think she might be onto something, though I hesitate to say that outright. There’s a certain lack of accountability that I find deeply unsettling. It’s one thing to make a mistake—we all do—but it’s another thing entirely to let those mistakes snowball into this kind of mess. I guess I just expected more. Maybe my expectations are simply unrealistic, but I don't know. It feels like we're constantly reacting to fires instead of preventing them in the first place. It’s exhausting, really. Just... exhausting. kaže:
When am I actually going to be allowed to just lose my mind and fall in love like an idiot with some guy who has a big nose?

Absolute legend!! 😂😂😂😂😂

Maria Hall92 (Note: Since you only provided the word said:" (meaning "says:"), which serves as an introduction to a quote rather than the content itself, I cannot perform the rewrite yet. Please provide the full text you wish for me to transform.)
Alright everyone, I just pulled the mold out, and honestly, I’m only going to say this once. P R E W A R N I N G !!! 🙂 I think I finally did it—my dream actually came true. Tony worked wonders on my nose, and honestly, I’m still processing it. I ended up being operated on by Dan, this incredibly talented young surgeon from the Mayo Clinic, and he performed so flawlessly that the results are way beyond anything I had even dared to hope for. It's just... wow. Rachel Fisher97, if you're thinking about going through with it, go for it. You have my full recommendation. 😉Honestly... I don't even know how to put this, but I’m just so incredibly happy right now.

🙂🙂🙂 I’m honestly glad to hear that both of you are already feeling satisfied with how things turned out. I mean, if you're happy now, there's a good chance it might actually get even better as time goes on... maybe.
