Hey, if I plug a new graphics card into the PCI slot on my motherboard while there's already integrated graphics running, will the system recognize the new one and automatically disable the integrated chip?
I honestly don't feel like messing around with this; they should just put whatever they want. But I have a feeling they might be violating some kind of regulation, so I'm going to go quickly skim through the NKZ, haha.
I get what you're saying, but if you look at the specs, it says 7750, not 7770. I'm talking about the technical details listed right under the product. So, the question is: did they mess up the actual title where it says Gigabyte 7770 OC, or did they just screw up the specifications by listing a 7750 graphics card instead?
I was browsing through some random sales online and stumbled upon this Gigabyte 7770 OC, and at first glance, I thought, "Man, that's a steal." But then I actually sat down to read the product description and realized—there's no way this is a real 7770. What do you guys think? Is this just a typo or am I looking at a blatant scam?
You're right... fair point. I knew about that sale, but unfortunately, it only applies to in-store purchases, not online orders. Since shipping is my only option here, it’s a total bummer.
edit: Wait, scratch that—turns out it actually works for online orders too. Just tested it out. 😁
Thanks. My only real concern is whether my CPU is actually going to bottleneck the GTX 660, since I'm currently running a Core i3-2100. That’s why I’m asking—just how much weaker is the EVGA 7750 compared to the MSI model?
That’s what I was thinking too... But seriously, is this EVGA GTX 660 actually any better than the ones mentioned above?
And just how much weaker is the EVGA HD 7750 compared to those other options?
Basically, is it even worth shelling out $50 more money for an MSI card, for example?
MSI Radeon HD 7750 or ASUS? Which one should I grab?
MSI (OC)
ASUS
What kind of high-quality power supply would you guys recommend for maybe $150 watts, specifically so I can make the most of this here setup, without it being too loud? I mean, it’s not my biggest priority, but I’d rather it didn't drone on like my neighbor's old diesel truck. If you know what I mean, haha
Sure, but does the difference actually matter when you're looking at $700 versus $567? I feel like it’s better to just bite the bullet and go with the more expensive option—it’s bound to be better, right?
Which HD 7850 are we even talking about? If I recall correctly, there are like 11 different versions out there, and they definitely don't all perform the same or carry the same price tag.
And if I just stick with that HD7770, will my current power supply handle it? Because if I have to factor in a new PSU on top of everything else, we're looking at roughly $567 total, which is honestly more than I want to drop right now. I don't really need some beastly graphics card since I'm not playing anything crazy demanding, especially not on high settings. But then again, having something a bit beefier would be nice... so I’d much rather keep the whole thing around, say, 800 - $300
I looked into this one too, but based on some mediocre reviews I came across somewhere, it felt like a waste of money to pay $100 more when there's another option sitting right there. That said, if spending $100 more actually gets me something significantly better, I might reconsider... assuming it's actually worth the jump. For context, my current power supply—which I honestly think is pretty weak—is a Pentium MS - 400 ATX P4, 400 W, 230 V, 5 A, 50/60 Hz.
Alright, good day. I’m looking to upgrade my graphics card soon, moving up from what I’m currently running (Radeon HD 5450 512). I have a strong preference for ATI (basically AMD) cards—don't ask me why, I just like them better. I'm no expert when it comes to GPUs since this is my first time actually shopping for a new one, so I’d really appreciate some help and recommendations. I'm planning to set aside about $700-$300. My current setup has an Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5700 3.0, 6 GB of RAM, and a 400W power supply. If you need any more specs, let me know; this is all pretty new to me. I live near Austin, so it would be ideal if I could pick something up around there. I've been eyeing this one specifically, but I'm not sure if it's actually worth the cash or if there's something better out there...
If an Nvidia card happens to be better than an ATI option at the same price point, then I might be open to switching sides. 🙄
Thanks in advance for the help.
Alright, good day. I'm planning on picking up a decent graphics card sometime soon to replace my current setup, which is just a Radeon HD 5450 512. I have a strong preference for ATI (basically AMD) cards—don't ask me why, I just like them better. I'm definitely no expert here; this is actually the first time I've ever gone shopping for a new GPU, so I’d really appreciate some help and recommendations. I'm looking to drop about $700-$300 on this. My current CPU is an Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5700 3.0, I've got 6 GB of RAM, and a 400W power supply. If you need any more specs, let me know—like I said, I'm a total newbie at this. I live near Austin, so it would be ideal if I could find something locally. I've been eyeing this one, but I'm not sure if it's actually worth the cash or if there's something better out there..
If there happens to be an Nvidia card that's significantly better than any ATI option at the same price point, then I might consider making the switch. 🙄
