Hemangioma removal: Surgery vs. laser? in Health ·
Casey Campbell said:My dermatologist referred me to plastic surgery because of a small hemangioma on my scalp. Do you think surgical removal is the way to go, or is laser treatment actually a better option?

My little girl has a hemangioma on the back of her neck, and we’re actually getting ready for surgery right now...
We’re currently in the middle of scheduling everything with the anesthesiologist.
Personally, I think it's best to just get it removed regardless of where it is, since these things can "reappear" and cause trouble. Even though they're benign in over 90% of cases, you just don't mess around with this stuff. Plus, if there's any risk of injury, I don't want to see the consequences. Honestly, I'm so nervous I'm afraid to even tie her bib too tight for fear of hurting it. My daughter is 6 months old.
