It’s honestly such a relief they were all busy tearing each other apart in those heated debates before and after the big game—that way, the ladies on the forum actually had a chance to put a face to all those over-the-top, extra comments! And hey, looks like they’re still just as loud and active today...

I'm not even sending a DM to the mods because I'm just hoping someone might actually recognize themselves in this thread. I've been posting on this forum for quite a while now—mostly over on the hazelnut boards—and I swear, I really can't remember a time when things were as messy as they are right now.

I mean, look, it's fine if people are just learning the ropes and everything is brand new to them (it definitely was for me too!), but man, I don't think I ever once had the bright idea to dig up threads that have been dead for years.
If nothing else, it's just about basic etiquette, you know? The worst part is when people start replying to stuff that isn't even relevant anymore, and suddenly the entire first page is filled up with a whole discussion, even though the original poster probably passed away from old age back during the reign of Ramesses VIII.🙄

Anyway... yeah, that's pretty much all I wanted to say.

Honestly, I feel like people are way too hard on themselves most of the time. Especially women, I guess.

I’m definitely my own worst critic—I know all my flaws, trust me. Some things are easy enough to fix, but others? Yeah, those are a bit tougher to tackle.
Whenever I start listing off my shortcomings, my better half just rolls their eyes and tells me I’m basically just talking nonsense.

Hey everyone,

I’ve got a few questions for you seasoned overclocking pros out there.

My motherboard is an ASUS A7N8X deluxe
The CPU is a Barton 2500+
RAM is 2 x512 Infineon
Power supply is a Fortron 400W

So, my processor is locked—which basically means incremental overclocking isn't really an option for me, I guess,
I picked up a cooler a while back, some Silent Breeze thing... it wasn't super pricey, but the box says it can handle up to +3800MHz
In the BIOS, I bumped the multiplier up to 200, so theoretically, I should be running at a 3200 Athlon now.
Temperatures are sitting around 47-50 C, maybe hitting 55 C when things get heavy.

But here's the kicker—the system just won't stay stable. It keeps crashing during games, and I'm getting those Blue Screens of Death with the countdown timer (especially yesterday when I was trying to push it a bit with some multitasking and stuff).

Everything I read online on sites like Reddit says the Barton 2500+ is totally fine to clock up to 3200 and all that, and everyone seems to act like it's a given.

Where am I messing this up?

Is the temperature way too high?

What do you guys suggest I try?
