restlessranger30 said:she’s stoked for Cave, but she wasn't out there whining "bring them, bring them!" like some people do for bands they've already seen a hundred times. like, sure, people would be hyped for National or Caribou, but it's just stupid to beg for them to come now if they're basically taking spots from bands that haven't even played here yet, or at least haven't in forever.

🙏

man, you always make things sound so much simpler than I do... thanks for that!
urbannomad30 said:honestly, why even bother thinking when you can just type... it's hilarious how someone claims they "don't get people listing bands that played before" and then immediately follows it up with "I'm stoked for Cave" 🤣

what's so weird about wanting to see bands that actually blew your mind? 🤷
edit: or maybe they just missed them the first time around 🤷

but yeah, since you're clearly out to get me...
he was with the Bad Seeds, which is obviously way better than his Grinderman era—not that they're even the same thing, let's be real—and I'll definitely be happy to see him, honestly more than AF right now...
but I still don't think picking Grinderman as a headliner makes any sense, nor would I support it, objectively speaking...

but hey, that's just me being subjective, I'm excited for the show...

though if we were actually debating this over drinks or something, I'd never say they should bring Cave to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival...
same goes for Morrissey, I missed him because my luck is absolute trash and I'd be thrilled if he showed up, but I'm not gonna go around screaming WHAT THE HELL ARE THE COACHELLA ORGANIZERS THINKING by not bringing him back... because I don't think the festival exists just to cater to my whims, and I think it'd be way better for the US scene to bring in some fresh talent 😁 so that festivals like Coachella can actually become legendary...
urbannomad30 said:they already told you, but quietsailor97, there's a couple lines in a Pearl Jam song just for you!

you just can't dodge the basic rules of life:

if you're gonna talk trash about something, why don't you stop doing it yourself?

🙂

look at this guy trying to act all high and mighty...
i'm definitely not doing that. think about it...
Kevin Chavez3 said:so like, you actually went to Coachella in the last three years😬

look, I totally wanted to go see Coachella, okay? I just said why I’d actually bother buying a ticket...

Yeah, I did. But since I didn't go, I'm just sitting here feeling all happy-hypo about it now...🙂
+ I seriously don't get people who just list all the bands that have played in Washington, D.C. over the last couple of years.

And that National band, man... they were basically just here. And then again like 2 or 3 years ago. And before that... hmm... I don't even know, but they've been here three times already.
I mean, sure, they come through, they're great. But if they're actually working, wouldn't they want to play something new?

Like Radiohead 😁 😁 😁 😁
Yeah. Just kidding. This is still the Washington, D.C. festival after all.

p.s. I still can't believe I'm actually gonna see Nick Cave, so honestly, that alone is more than enough reason for me to grab a ticket.
Lawrence Mitchell2 said:We could totally pull up to see Interpol now that they've gone completely downhill... maybe if we're lucky they'll actually play some stuff from those first two albums...☕

Yeah, that would be killer...
No matter how much they screw us over, we still love them... honestly, we’re just a bunch of masochists at this point
I honestly think Interpol actually stands a chance...
Fingers crossed...!
