So that just leaves the low DAO and high homocysteine, which probably points toward some metabolic thing... maybe MTHFR or histamine stuff. But honestly, it doesn't feel like anything massive either...
Man, I am just so wiped out. I can't deal with all this researching anymore.
Started on Prozac, so we'll see how things shake out in a few months...

If your homocysteine is up, then your B vitamins are likely low, like B6 for example...

Have NASA run the tests and then hit me up on WhatsApp
HPL (human placental lactogen) testing $40
So, one of my cousins was on 25mg of an SSRI
for years, and now they're dealing with this whole mess
I guess it's what happens when your levels are way too high or just totally off
They've been loading up on B-complex vitamins lately
Joseph Green12 said:I might go get my ferritin checked again this coming Monday just to see. Last time, about six months ago, it was running high. If it’s still up there, maybe I can talk to my doctor about what to do...
So, I went in today for a CBC, liver panel, G7, B12, Iron, and Magnesium.
Everything looks solid—even those B vitamins finally crawled back into the normal range.

I can't for the life of me figure out why EBV isn't showing up as $67; the results keep hovering around 600-800 everywhere I look... am I totally misreading these charts?

Then today, this insane stinging and tingling sensation started hitting the soles of my feet. I tried to test it out and took some Xanax from a friend, but honestly, nothing changed. Does that pretty much rule out anxiety then?

Someone asked how life’s been going in general, and yeah, it hasn't exactly been sunshine and rainbows, especially with everything going on lately. But these symptoms... the pain, this intense tingling (and I don't mean that little "hand falling asleep" feeling, this is like ten times worse and just lingers forever)... it feels almost impossible that it's all coming from my brain...

Helena, just tell her what you're feeling.

P.s. You owe me one!
Jacob Lopez51 said:It’s honestly such a guessing game because you never know if the issue is serotonin, dopamine, or just a messy mix of both... personally, I’m pretty sure my dopamine and cortisol are through the roof (I know for a fact because I had them checked and while a normal level is around 500, mine hit 870).... take something like Sulpiride, for instance—it works on dopamine by blocking it just enough to balance things out. It’s an old-school med, but seriously one of the best for psychosomatic stuff. Lower doses help with depression and anxiety, whereas anything over 200mg is more for psychosis or schizophrenia.
A solid SSRI for psychosomatic issues would be Faverin... or maybe Cymbalta as an SNRI... then there's that third option involving Lyrica and Sulpiride...

But what if my serotonin levels are actually fine, like they are for me?
EBV causes fatigue, anxiety, and all that crap
Like, for example, I wake up feeling totally wiped and I have such a hard time focusing when I'm driving, which really messes with my head.
It isn't even psychological, it's like my body is just physically blocking me...
Go get tested for the EBV virus$67
It’s basically an invasion
Check your bilirubin and HPL levels
And seriously, do a full body detox... people swear by it, it's like a total rebirth
Got my HPL levels back.
Basically, it's that human chorionic somatomammotropin (HCS)... and apparently, when mom is a bit insulin sensitive, it sends those blood glucose levels climbing.
Has anyone else here actually dealt with this specific test before?

Roger Campbell3 said:getting that serotonin flowing is actually pretty simple... just grab some cocoa powder, mix it with water, and boom... done. honestly, that’s one of the main reasons people tell folks feeling down to eat chocolate, except pure cocoa has way more of the good stuff in it...

Laijicki look, you can have as much serotonin in your bloodstream as you want, but it's not getting into your brain without tryptophan first

Michelle Chavez16 said:Hey everyone on the forums! So, I’ve been dealing with this issue for a really long time now...

I’ve been diagnosed with Hashimoto, specifically subclinical hypothyroidism.
My hormone levels are pretty much hovering right at the edge of the normal range—ft3 is at the top end, ft4 is totally fine, though over the years it used to dip toward the lower limit, but never actually went low. My TSH fluctuates between 2 and 4. I’m not even on any medication for it. My anti-TPO was 160, but it dropped down to 80. My ferritin has always been insanely low, so I take supplements and keep an eye on it. Same thing with B12. Blood cortisol looks normal. I haven't done a saliva test yet.

The thing that’s absolutely killing me is this insane fatigue that hits around 6 PM and just lingers until about 9 PM. It doesn't matter if I slept for 16 hours straight or if I spent the whole day sitting on the couch doing nothing—it happens every single time.
My CBC, CRP, liver panels, lupus antibodies, ANA profiles, rheumatoid factors—everything comes back normal. CRP is totally fine.

Back in 2015, a private OBGYN told me I had microcystic ovaries, but said it wasn't a big deal. My hormone levels were okay back then. Periods have always been heavy and painful. CA125 is normal. All my tumor markers are fine too.

About a month ago, I went back to the gynecologist because I’ve been having uterine pains and constant bloating in my lower abdomen, like I'm pregnant or something. No matter how much I work out or how strictly I watch what I eat, nothing changes. I’m the kind of person who is super disciplined and tries everything to fix myself, but I still feel terrible. The doctor said she couldn't see anything at all on the ultrasound—no fibroids, no cysts... I was really hoping she’d find *something*, because mid-cycle I get this dull ache that feels exactly like period cramps, even though it isn't my period. I mentioned to her that my hair is growing way faster than it used to and that I was worried about PCOS. She just insists the ultrasound looks clear. My Pap smear came back normal. I mean, hopefully she actually looked properly, because I can't believe she missed something...

One more HUGE thing: whenever I eat carbs—especially rice, sweets, or stuff like that—I get hit with such intense exhaustion that I immediately need to sleep. I get this weird sensation in my head, like a light shakiness, almost like I have the flu. I don't even know how to describe it...

My fasting glucose was around 5.8 to 6.0.
Personally, I’m really suspicious about insulin resistance.
I honestly don't know where else to turn. I've been thin my whole life, but now I'm just gaining weight in my lower belly and hips. What tests should I ask for to figure this out? Should I do a standard OGTT or check my insulin levels?
I've been active for years, I don't smoke, I don't drink, I run, I do weight training (just recreationally), and yet I still feel like I'm made of water... just sluggish, and there's this constant fat buildup on my stomach.
Looking at myself, that's just what it feels like. Please, if anyone has advice on how to confirm this for sure, let me know...

My doctor keeps saying my results are fine and she doesn't know what to do with me, basically implying I'm making it up... but guys, I am constantly exhausted. I can't even get out of bed for work in the morning, I can't shake the fog, it's affecting every single part of my life.

Thank you all so much for the help and advice, because I'm seriously struggling here.

You aren't alone.
mellowskipper said:I meant it more like an obsession... like I can't stop thinking about how weird my head feels. It’s this sensation, like my brain is just... floating. Like a balloon.
Kind of like when you sprain your ankle—you’ve got that brace on, and yeah, you can walk, but you're constantly hyper-aware of that joint, just terrified you're gonna tweak it even worse.

Yeah, I get what you mean
mellowskipper said:I wouldn't really put it that way since I can still get through my day just fine. It’s more like this... fixation in my head? I don't even know how to describe it. But if it starts turning into an actual headache, I gotta grab a pill immediately, otherwise god help me.

So what exactly do you mean by "fixation"?
mellowskipper said:Just drinking coffee... man, what a waste. You gotta do the coffee + water combo. I slam a cup first thing in the morning and then I'm basically just chugging water all day long.
Usually, my symptoms are either a killer headache or just this weird, foggy feeling in my head...

Brain fog? Just feeling lost?
Alexander Thompson said:Yeah, pretty much... 100 over 60, man. Just whipped up a fresh cup of coffee and honestly, my heart... 😬

Is there any kind of pill for this? Like, how do you even deal with it?
The second that blood pressure drops, the circulation just goes totally south...
Alexander Thompson said:Man, I'm a mess. My sleep schedule is totally trashed, and on the nights I actually manage to crash... I just feel like a zombie the next day. Everything is so slow...

So you're saying things get even worse from November through like March?
My blood pressure is constantly sitting at 90/70...
And man, once I have my coffee, it's a whole different story...
Alexander Thompson said:Honestly, I don't give a damn about the crashes... when things start climbing, I feel like I'm flying high. Total low-pressure vibes.

So what's it like for you? Like, what kind of symptoms do you actually get?
Anyone else feeling totally wiped out lately because of the barometric pressure shifts?
I'm curious, how do those low-pressure systems actually mess with your head...

Same story here...
My IgM came back at 2.8... when the normal range is supposed to be between 20 and 25.
Finally got the results back, and they’re looking a bit high

Testing for Borrelia
Burgdorferi... specifically checking the
IgM antibodies
came in at 29.0 U/mL. Here’s how the scale breaks down
Negative is anything under 20.0
Griffin is right in that middle zone of 20.0-25.0
But positive is anything over 25.0
restlessdriver said:If I’m not mistaken, that’s probably an ELISA test because they're cheaper... I actually skipped the ELISA entirely and went straight for a Western Blot over in Chicago, cost me about 93 miles bucks. With that, you get the specific IgG and IgM antibodies broken down individually, whereas the ELISA just gives you a blunt "positive" or "negative" result.

So, I got bit by a tick once, and since there was a case of Lyme disease in my immediate family, I didn't mess around—I jumped straight onto antibiotics just to be safe. Of course, about a month later, the symptoms started kicking in and just kept getting worse, but I had already finished my course of meds. Honestly, my leg twitching was probably just low blood sugar, and then I totally spiraled into hypochondria, obsessively searching for symptoms online. Eventually, everything calmed down... most of those symptoms were probably just all in my head.

You can definitely do the ELISA, but even if it comes back negative, it doesn't mean you're in the clear until you get a Western Blot analysis done.

Lyme disease test. 13 bucks
Lyme disease detection 12 bucks
