Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
Paul Fox63 said:HELP!!
I woke up this morning and realized I've developed a hemorrhoid. I've been reading through some of these posts (truthfully, not all of them, just a few pages) and I have to say, I'm feeling pretty confused. I had never dealt with anything like this until last night when I was hanging out with a buddy and felt this slight stinging sensation, some pain... I honestly don't know what to do now. What am I even supposed to do? Is this something that stays with you forever? Does this happen often? I'm at a total loss. It’s actually making me quite nervous; I haven't been sick—not even a common cold, really—for about six years. Please help! Thanks in advance..😕

I would suggest heading down to the pharmacy to pick up some ointment from a brand like Factu and applying that. Also, please, don't even think about using toilet paper anymore; I swear, I think it causes about 70% of these issues. For years, I've used nothing but wet wipes, and I haven't had a flare-up since. While things are flared up right now, maybe try using just plain water instead of wiping with anything, and once the irritation subsides, you can go back to the wet wipes.
As soon as I use any toilet paper, the stinging starts immediately.
I have to say, I experience that same sensation where my skin feels tender to the touch.
It’s most intense on my scalp—I always joke that it feels like my hair itself is aching! It tends to flare up across my body too, especially along my back. Honestly, it is such an unpleasant feeling; I can't even focus because the pain seems to radiate through my entire system. It's just awful.
When I mentioned this to my husband, he gave me this really puzzled look.
