Edward Green said:so everyone who quits heroin ends up with brain damage? Is that the majority?

I know a handful myself—and let’s be real, it was rarely just the heroin. But honestly, you're really fixating on the brain here... what about the liver, the kidneys, or a completely trashed cardiovascular system?

Live longer, sure, but with progressively smaller odds of ever actually feeling normal again... at which point, there might not even be much point in sticking around.

@elonmusk: First off, you rarely find people just chasing pure heroin. Most of these guys are hitting a cocktail of everything they can get their hands on. Not to mention all the nasty cutting agents and other garbage they mix in to stretch the supply—stuff that’s definitely doing wonders for their health, clearly. 🙏 🙏

The Accolade era of MotoGP was just better. They even had Rossi on the roster!! 🙏 🙏

😁

It’s not even about that. If you go down that road, you’re just asking to get burned—whether it's a mental breakdown or actual physical damage. At some point, it doesn't matter which hits you first: whether you're dealing with a viral outbreak or just a completely wrecked immune system. It's all the same end result.

Bravo. You’re all for treatment and rehab. Did that whole "it's fine" mentality prevent you from realizing people actually need help to get through it?

Just one question: what happens to the ones who never seek rehab, or find it way too late? Someone could easily exploit this setup and just keep using longer than they ever would have if things were handled normally.

Top tier games (not ranked):

1. Accolade’s Moto GP and Test Drive 😍
2. Dune II
3. StarCraft and C&C
4. HoMM 2 and 3 🙏 🙏
5. StarCraft
6. Diablo 1 and 2
7. Total War—the whole series 🙏 🙏 🙏
8. Homeworld
Honestly, that might actually be the best way to handle it. 🙏 😬
Between the fat president, Rentokill, and ASTPA, they’re spot on... you've got a new kebab joint right across from Gracy's, complete with seating if you want to sit and grab a bite. 😁

edit: totally forgot there's also DramaBeats this Friday, plus the usual at Slatin 🙂

Well, I know plenty, so what's your point? 😉

you wouldn't achieve anything with that😳 closed communes are about maintaining abstinence, not actual recovery.

Obviously, I’d want him to have a better environment to use in; an addict will find a way to get high wherever I take them, unless they actually decide for themselves how they want to move forward.

Why would they? Just like not every recovering alcoholic stays sober, not every recovering addict stays clean... if that weren't the case, the whole struggle wouldn't even matter.

hey, what a mess 🤣 🤣

Hannah Davis18 said:If they get help, they don't have to die. And hey, maybe one day they'll actually start paying back into Medicare.

That part is highly debatable, especially with the hardcore types... their chances of full rehabilitation are pretty questionable.

Look, Captain, if someone close to me was in that spot, I’d be dragging them from one specialist to the next—psychiatrists, rehab centers, high-security recovery communes. I wouldn't take "no" for an answer. No more "Listen, kid, go into that room, you can beat your head against the wall all you want, the good doctors are watching over you."

I’ll be blunt: those overdosing will die, but at least there'll be more funding left for rehab programs and actual medical treatment.

Providing rehabilitation support versus just saying "let's let them crash more safely" aren't exactly the same thing.

I think they were being ironic 😉 😬

Unfortunately, in America, that’s just business as usual.

Man, honestly? It would've been better left in the pitch black. 😢 😁

Honestly, my heart breaks way more for those few who actually made it out, only to be left completely burned by everything. 😢

Edward Green said:Natural selection. If you’re broke, you die.

So, you don't do that?

No. If you're short on cash, you just think twice before engaging in high-risk lifestyle choices—I'm not talking about your job here, I mean things like smoking or heavy drinking.

Look, I’ve known people who died or ended up in rehab because of stuff like this. If it were up to me, making sure they stayed "safe" by keeping quiet would be the absolute last thing on my mind. I don't know about you, but for me, this isn't some moral dilemma—it's just common sense.
