Music cutting/editing tips?

So, I gave Microsoft a shot and honestly, it’s pretty great 🙂—I managed to trim some tracks, but then I realized it doesn't really let you do much actual editing, you know? Like, I was hoping I could slowly fade the volume out or tweak things a bit more dynamically 😕—does anyone happen to know of a program that actually handles that kind of stuff?
