Does anyone happen to have a phone number for this doctor's private practice? I'm trying to get an appointment scheduled...
I actually saw him about three years ago, but I just can't seem to track down his current number—and honestly, every single thing I find online is ancient news, probably older than five years. Thanks in advance!
Alright then... I appreciate you getting back to me on this... Best regards

Are you some kind of doctor?? Or have you just dealt with this exact same scenario before?
Look, if "full rehabilitation" means waiting until the bone is 100% perfectly fused back to its original state... well, I don't actually need to wait that long, since my serious training sessions aren't scheduled to start for a while anyway. My real concern is more about the lifestyle stuff—casual swimming, hanging out by the beach, etc.—and how much mobility and strength I'll actually have in my arm when dealing with light contact or basic movement.
So, about two weeks ago, I managed to break my elbow—and now I’m really curious to hear about your experiences...
To be specific, the doctor diagnosed it as a fracture of the radial head or perhaps the ulnar styloid without any displacement in the joint itself, though there was some minor cracking on the side as well, but let's not get bogged down in the weeds regarding that part...
Since I'm scheduled to have this brace removed on the 21st—which marks four and a half weeks since the break—and I'm planning to head out on vacation by the 22nd, I'd love to know what you all went through. What was the recovery process actually like after the fracture? How did it feel once the brace or cast finally came off and you actually moved your arm again??
What kind of physical therapy did you have to undergo, assuming you had to go that route?
Also, please don't confuse my situation with a Colles' fracture.
As for your training schedule—from what I’ve gathered through my own experience—staying in the gym for about an hour to ninety minutes is really the sweet spot. That’s when you get the best hormonal response from your lifting sessions. If you start dragging it out way past that, you aren't actually getting any extra benefits unless you're a professional female bodybuilder aiming for the stage... and even then, it's overkill for most people. Once you've knocked out a solid ninety-minute program, you're done. There is absolutely no reason to be grinding away in the gym for four hours straight. If you have extra energy, go hit the track for some sprints, or focus on aerobic work and breathing exercises instead. =) Cheers!
I highly recommend Dr. Miller over in the Quad area... I actually believe he might even be a lead representative for chiropractors in the States (I can't say for certain), but he is definitely the real deal. Honestly, I’ve been seeing him since I was fifteen because of some lingering lower back issues from playing soccer. Anyway, I just wanted to wish you the absolute best. To be honest, I was pretty intimidated during my first visit—it was nerve-wracking—but now? Now, when I walk into his office, I just relax and soak it all in. By the time I leave, I feel like I've lost "15 pounds" 😉 —or at least, that's how much lighter I feel
