Hey,
I just picked up a MacBook Pro from Best Buy. How do I go about adding AppleCare+ to it? Anyone here dealt with this before?
Hey, I picked up a MacBook Pro 16 at Best Buy yesterday, but they aren't offering their own extended warranty. The device won't arrive for about a month. Since I travel constantly, how can I go ahead and grab AppleCare+ for it?
Hi,
About five years ago, I went in seeing a doctor for sinus issues. Out of nowhere, he mentions my finger joints look swollen, suggesting some kind of inflammation. Honestly? I hadn't noticed a thing. No pain, no redness, nothing. Following his lead, I got tested, and a rheumatologist at the Mayo Clinic dismissed it as "nothing," labeling it as synovial thickening based on my blood work and X-rays. Fast forward five years: a colleague mentioned this could actually be RA, so I was advised to get a second opinion. This new specialist suggested an MRI, HLA typing, and fresh blood work. The blood tests and the MRI show zero signs of inflammation... but I have no clue how to read these HLA results. My follow-up is scheduled, but I’m losing patience. Can anyone make sense of these numbers?
Method: CDC (serological)
HLA-A
9 / ND
HLA-B
39 / ND
Method: PCR-SSO/SSP (molecular)
HLA-C*
NT / NT
HLA-DRB1*
03 / 16
HLA-DQB1*

Benjamin King2 said:Go with the Asus Xonar DX instead. The sound quality is significantly better, especially for music. That Creative Labs Xtreme gamer setup is outrageously overpriced and the drivers are a total disaster—it’s an old four-year-old model with nothing but bugs on both Vista and 7. Honestly? The only decent thing Creative Labs ever made is the Titanium Fatality, but you're looking at a price tag north of $333 for that.
Fine, then I'll grab the Asus Xonar DX + Sennheiser HD 555. My only issue is finding them; it looks like nothing is in stock anywhere online right now.
CREATIVE LABS X-Fi Xtreme gamer + Sennheiser HD 555 / Audio-Technica ATH-AD700. That’s my shortlist. What do you guys think? No
Thanks for the input, Benjamin King2 and taipan.
Is it actually worth pairing any Sennheiser headphones with an onboard sound card? Or is the gap between integrated audio and a decent dedicated card just a myth?
I’m really feeling those Sony MDR-7506, but I can't find a single shop around here that actually stocks them. Is it worth just ordering from overseas? And if I do, how much is customs going to screw me over?
I finally pulled the trigger on a new pair of headphones after the earcups on my Logitech G35s literally melted on me. Now I'm scouting for a solid replacement that actually feels well-built. Naturally, the more I look, the more questions pop up.
From what I've gathered browsing through various threads, buying those so-called "GAMING" headsets or any of that USB / virtual surround sound nonsense is a total waste of money.
That's where my search for actual quality started, and the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x caught my eye. I realized this company puts out several versions of the same model, and it seems like the 80 OHM version would be the sweet spot. But now I’m stuck with two problems. First, do I actually need a high-end sound card to get the performance I'm looking for? Logic says yes, since I'm currently just running the basic onboard audio from my motherboard. Second, do I really need an amp, or can a decent sound card handle both? I've heard people say the 80 ohm version doesn't require an amp, but online retailers make it impossible to tell which specific version you're actually buying.
Since I'm a complete newbie to all this, I’d really appreciate it if someone could explain the relationship between headphone quality, sound cards, and amps. It's all a bit blurry to me right now.
Mainly using them for music, gaming, and movies—in that order.
Thanks for reading.

My headphones finally kicked the bucket, so I'm looking for a replacement.
I'm trying to stay within a budget of about $130-$140.
Mainly just for gaming and listening to music, etc...
Thanks in advance for the help 🙂
I need some solid headphones and a decent mic 🙂
Got about $233 set aside.
Any leads would be appreciated 🙂
Thanks 🙂

I already told you, I'm using a Corsair case.
As for the fans? Hmph. From where I'm sitting, I see two.🙂
Motherboard - Fatal error
RAM - 2 x 2GB Geil
Not sure about the cooler or airflow, though some guy at Best Buy claimed this case I’ve got has decent airflow. How am I supposed to verify that?
Got a B3 with stepping 7
Can I actually overclock this CPU?
I just picked up a 400W Blue Storm power supply and a Corsair case for my Skyscraper build.
Most people tell me there’s no point in overclocking a quad-core, but for gaming, isn't it necessary since most titles still rely heavily on a single core?
(Copy-pasted 🙂 apologies for posting in the wrong section)
I was such an idiot. Three days ago, my mom offered to take me to a specialist appointment—she’s a doctor herself, so she said I could skip the waiting room and just walk right in. No hassle, right? But I was too much of a coward to go. I’ve got a deviated septum, and honestly, the whole idea of them shoving two massive sticks up my nose sounds terrifying. To make matters worse, this damn allergy is making everything itch like crazy!
So here I am. First time dealing with bronchitis, and I don't even smoke. Now I'm just sitting here wondering what the hell is going on.
So here’s the deal. A month ago, I came down with a sinus infection. Fast forward to today, I drop by my doctor's office for a checkup, and she tells me it's actually bronchitis. Look, I know what it's like to deal with brutal sinus issues—I've had them. Plus, I’m dealing with a deviated septum and allergies on top of everything else.
I have no idea what to do. I’ve got the prescriptions and all the other nonsense, and I'm following the routine, but I can't stop wondering: am I looking at a future with asthma or chronic bronchitis? Is there any way to prevent that from happening?
Is it actually worth it? I want to know the downsides too—specifically, how much does this actually shave off its lifespan?
Can I squeeze some extra juice out of this rig too? :P
Intel Core Q6600 2.4GHz, 1066MHz, 8MB,
4 GB DDR2 GEIL RAM, H
320 GB SATA II HDD,
GeForce 8800 GTS, 320 MB superclocked or whatever they call it these days
Abit Fatalyty FP-IN9 sliti 1066MHz FSB Motherboard
Chieftec Big Tower case with a 400W :P BlueStorm ii :P power supply
:P I'm hoping I can push the performance up just a bit.
