Conquer is such an incredible album. Honestly—I play some alternative rock myself, so I’ve spent my life digging through every genre imaginable—but I can say without a shred of hesitation that The Killers are truly the only one for me.
Sure, people might judge their look, but man, I just get this massive wave of positivity whenever they come on. It’s almost like that feeling when I’m listening to Jack Johnson...
It’s just so straightforward—the music, the lyrics, that slightly gritty sound, those great little riffs, and songs that are just so catchy! They work anywhere, anytime.
😉
It was absolutely legendary—maybe a bit too much electronic music for my specific taste, but honestly, it was fantastic!
Here are the vibes and some shots!

And man, Flogging Molly totally blew me away—I knew they were good, but I didn't realize they were *that* incredible. Seriously, there wasn't a single person standing still; everyone was dancing! Just pure magic. Some of the other acts like Dubioza Klasika were solid too... and thank goodness for T-Mobile, because having international visitors coming in makes our city even more famous, which is exactly how things should be! It’s totally normal for it to be a little pricey, but when you think about it—I mean, seeing Deep Purple back in the day cost me $117, and this whole festival ended up being about the same amount—so the whole "it's too expensive" argument just doesn't hold water, does it?

Anyone heading out to the concert in Monterey? I'm giving away tickets!
I caught their show in Washington, D.C., and—if I’m being completely honest—it wasn't quite my cup of tea. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but immense respect for these musicians; they have such iconic, powerhouse hits under their belts! But it felt like they weren't quite hitting their stride—maybe just some opening night jitters? And the sound quality... goodness, it was rough. It honestly sounded like I was listening to a low-quality broadcast on an old transistor radio... 🙄🙄
