The sales we see around here aren't actually sales; they’re more like anti-promotions.
From clothing to groceries, the whole thing is a sham.

In other countries, when a real sale happens, you can walk away with an enviable amount of goods for next to nothing.

But here, the "discounts" are purely performative. They hike up the prices the day before, only to slash them back down during the supposed sale to the exact same level they just reached. It's a shell game.

Then there are the grocery store prices. Take those ridiculously overpriced pistachios sitting at $47/lb..
And they just leave them there, gathering dust. Where do they get the nerve to invent such inflated price points?
How does it even make sense for them to stock items that clearly have no buyer?
