😁

urbannomad30 said:By the way, I heard a rumor that the promoter got fed up with the stingy, cheapskate crowds in New York City, so they're moving the festival to a more appreciative city somewhere else!

Honestly, I find it hard to believe they'll pull a bigger crowd in some other city than they would in NYC. 🤔

Kenneth Rodriguez58 said:Sorry, but I just don't see the point... I'm not saying they aren't good—I have no idea—but watching the exact same band I saw just a year or two ago feels pointless to me, especially since none of them have even dropped a new album.

Fair enough, I get where you're coming from—but when I was listing those bands, I wasn't really thinking about who we'd already seen or who hasn't released anything new lately.
I was just naming a few acts I’d love to catch live.
Or just see again. 🙂
Maybe I'm just crazy, but I think it always makes sense to see a band you love live, even if it's for the thousandth time. 🙂
Kenneth Rodriguez58 said:I honestly never get people who insist on seeing bands that played just last year—or even the year before—at the exact same festival or one just a couple hundred miles away. 🙏

I was honestly just waiting for someone to chime in with this kind of take 😁
Look, I know some of those bands were touring nearby a few years back, and yeah, I actually went to most of those shows. And you know what? I had a blast 😲—so I don't see anything weird about wanting to catch them again. 🙂
After all, Muse played in New York back in 2007, and I didn't see anyone acting shocked that people wanted to see them. 🙂
I could definitely go for some Pendulum again. Thanks! 😁
Besides them, I'm down for Calvin Harris, The Knife // Fever Ray, Crystal Castles, Röyksopp, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, or even Klaxons.
Modest Mouse, Why?, Kooks, Arctic Monkeys // The Last Shadow Puppets, Placebo, and Delphic are also on my list.
Honestly, I like a little bit of everything—some of this stuff would probably work for me. 😁

...they played cause=time 😁

I had an absolute blast this year.
When the final lineup dropped, I honestly thought nothing could top last year's vibe—but I was totally wrong. It was actually 👍

Broken Social Scene — I seriously love them and they were great yesterday, though I feel like they’d be even better in a smaller, intimate venue, but this worked out just fine.

The Flaming Lips — I couldn't stop smiling during their whole set, everything about it was just wonderful. I haven't been a huge fan in the past—they were always just *okay*, you know? Not "fall-on-your-butt" amazing—but yesterday, they completely blew me away.

Pendulum — also great; I was expecting a high-energy set where I could just jump around and lose myself, and that's exactly what I got. Honestly, I didn't need anything else.

Massive Attack — a perfect way to wrap up the festival, no complaints from me there.

From what I caught while wandering around—like Flogging Molly, NYPC, Caribou, Rise Against, LCD, !!!, etc.—it was all interesting enough to check out, even if only for a bit. I realized that unlike last year, I spent most of my time sprinting from one stage to the next because I wanted to see a little bit of everything, so I ended up barely seeing any full sets 😁 (except for the ones I mentioned above)
Laura Grant4 said:Is anyone else feeling even a tiny bit let down by this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup? Look, I'm not trying to start a debate about musical taste—some people might be thrilled—but to me, it just feels a little weaker than last year...😢
But hey, I'm still going, obviously! I'm actually pretty stoked to catch Morcheeba, Massive Attack, Pendulum, and Billy... I've always been a fan of those guys.

I’m feeling a bit less hyped this year too.😢
I mean, it's not like I have much to complain about—there are plenty of bands I'm looking forward to (TFL, BSS, Pendulum & !!!, who are basically 😠 , plus Flogging Molly...), but it's just not quite *that* level of excitement. Last year, I was absolutely buzzing for so many acts, whereas this year, I'm just... okay. I'll be happy to see them when I do, but it's not like it's a life-or-death situation if I miss out.🤷
i !!! i Pendulum are such a perfect match 🙂 🙂 🙂
it's actually awesome 👎
I mean, most of the people complaining probably aren't even going, right? 😉
I definitely wasn't one of them 🙂
Olivia Walker30 said:Got my ticket ready to go! (well, tucked inside a book somewhere 😁) 😍

Me too, me too! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Great, so they're totally playing us.
I don't even get what 🤷
means. Based on this, my only conclusion is that the lady at the Target store intentionally lied to me just so I'd shell out for a more expensive ticket.
She told me straight up that there were none anywhere else to buy right now—claimed they were sold out and wouldn't be back for a few days.
So, I ended up hitting both the downtown branch and the one over on Main Street.
The folks at the downtown office told me they were completely sold out and suggested I head over to the Main Street location to check.
So, I made the trip.
But once I got there, they told me that none of the service centers have any tickets left. None at all.
I was standing there for about 😲 😲 😲 just stunned, asking, "Are you serious? Not even ONE center??"
And the woman just looked at me and said, "Not a single one."
At that point—well, I wasn't about to waste any more gas searching.
Olivia Walker30 said:Oh boy. In that case, there's really no point in me heading out tomorrow. :/ It’s hard to plan anything when their website doesn't even mention they won't be there. 😕

I honestly don't know... I was pretty frustrated yesterday when I couldn't snag those tickets😠
but, I guess I don't really have a choice now. Can't really blame anyone else since I waited way too long to think about it myself. 😠 😵
Mark Cox15 said:I'm being totally serious here--😁
just go ahead and grab a ticket somewhere tomorrow, then head over to see that guy and show him that there are still tickets available.😁

But they were already sold out yesterday.
I actually stopped by two different Target locations, and both times I got the exact same answer: they are completely out of tickets at both stores.🤷
I'm good with it !!! 🙂
Even so—I wouldn't buy a ticket just for them alone.
I'm holding out until they announce a bigger headliner 🙂

😍
Hey, check out Taylor & Selena 🙂
they’d absolutely love to hear them live 🙂
Kenneth Rodriguez58 said:Oh please, forget those fancy crystal palaces... go find some real vibes out in Austin instead. 🙂

You could have caught THE KNIFE or Royksopp at Lollapalooza last year—it was honestly such a blast. 👍

Modest Mouse👍

I'm totally down for CC—it would be absolutely amazing if they actually made an appearance. 😉

As for Royksopp—yeah, I know, they were supposed to play, but since that was right in the middle of June, it hit right during my finals week... so I ended up skipping it. 😢

Oh, and Coкs? Sure, why not! 😍
They just popped into my head just now. 🙂

And honestly, I’d donate a kidney just to see Modest Mouse live. 😁 😁
Modest Mouse, Arctic Monkeys... maybe some The Last Shadow Puppets, The National, Röyksopp, or The Knife. Or even Fever Ray, Crystal Castles, Calvin Harris, or Cold War Kids 👍
Honestly, I'd be pretty stoked if any of those showed up 😁
Though, I wouldn't say no to Foo Fighters coming back—or even Placebo 😁
Oh, totally—but still, it’s just not okay. I mean, I had one of those glowing light sticks myself, and it never even crossed my mind to toss it onto the stage. But then some guy actually asked if he could take mine so he could throw it up there. Of course I didn't give it to him! It's honestly pretty lame—it feels so primitive when people show up to a concert and start chucking pieces of plastic at the performers. It just makes zero sense.
Thomas Lee83 said:I'm posting this here because I don't want to start a whole new thread—plus, I couldn't find an existing one for the Kooks. Does anyone happen to know how much tickets are actually going for for their July 6th show in Chicago? This site is claiming they're only sixty-seven bucks, but honestly, my gut tells me there's no way that's right. http://www.worldticketshop.com/conce..._kooks_tickets
